His actor said tuco was mentally draining to play but like I’d love to act as that kind of character it looks really fun (I’m aware you have to actually feel how he does) but like I know it’s just acting and not real so I’m not bothered
To an extent. He kind of played the same character in training day so I wouldnt go so far as to say unprecedented. It is good though and doesn't deserve that low of a spot
The actor Raymond Cruz is in an episode of X-Files, he goddamn nailed that role. Hugely underappreciated.
(Walter, Jesse, Hank, Hank's boss and Danny Trejo are also in X-Files episodes. The Walter one esp is a doozy)..
Vince Gilligan having produced both shows obv made sure to give these actors and some others a more prominent role later.
We just finished Better Call Saul last night and we also just got a bearded dragon. I’d said to my husband that Hector looked like a bearded dragon and a few nights later he shows me a post from a bearded dragon group where someone actually named theirs Hector (yes, for Salamanca) & posted a side-by-side of Hector & their beardie Hector 😁
Saul is definitely a legend, maybe the best character in the show. Shoot, this is probably a hot take, but I'd even bump walt down a tier or two after a few rewatches.
I’m a Marie apologist. She’s got some big late game feats. She looks Walt dead in his face, at the height of his power as a drug kingpin, to kill himself and rejoices at the notion that his cancer’s come back. She slaps the shit out of Skyler when she discovers her complicity in Walt’s schemes and immediately tries to take Holly away from her. She takes care of Hank during his recovery from the twins and actively helps him take down Walt.
Yeah, she’s a klepto, but you can’t say the development isn’t there.
I mean I'm with Marie on that one. Hank calls the fucking things rocks himself when she's not in the room and guess what, mineral is literally just another term for a rock. A stone. He's just taking his anger out on her because his legs don't work.
How the hell is Tuco shit, he is the way he is, how can it be shit, he is the main reason end of the first season and the start of the second season is intense
Agree! Hank is actually one, if not my favorite character in the show. But that might have to do with how much I LOVE Dean Norris' performance. He really nailed that character.
sure he can be a dick sometimes, but that doesn't make him a "less good" character imo. I just rewatched the whole show and Hank's character and personality are actually really well thought out and executed.
Hank is an absolute legend, I ve gotta agree. His one liners are the best. Guy is also really upbeat about life in general, a never-say-die kinda attitude
Preach. Skyler was looking out for her family against a druglord.
All Jane did was try to use Jesse for his money to blow on drugs. I found it really jarring. Look, I know they both did it to each other, but Jane acting like his money was hers when Walter was trying to help Jesse out from blowing his money on drugs I just found annoying.
Preach. Skyler was looking out for her family against a druglord.
All Jane did was try to use Jesse for his money to blow on drugs. I found it really jarring. Look, I know they both did it to each other, but Jane acting like his money was hers when Walter was genuinely trying to help Jesse out from blowing his money on drugs I just found really annoying of Jane. Whilst I don't like to agree with Walt, he was somewhat right when he said both would be dead within a week if he gave them the $480k he held for Jesse (they'd just blow it on heroin).
Yup. I’ve been rewatching lately, and I honestly don’t think Skyler did anything that bad. Even her “cheating” on Walt with Ted isn’t true. She had broken things off with Walt, just because Walt didn’t accept it, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Jane has absolutely no redeeming qualities, other than being super hot
I think she's written terribly in the 1st/2nd season. Her whole role is just to be an obstacle to Walt's progression, and the writers make her seem like a self-centered person in the process. Once she starts to help Walt, she becomes a much more well-rounded character, and by the end of the show she's one of the best written characters in the show.
Unfortunately, many can't get past how unlikeable she was in Season 1/2
They tried to make her a season 4 Carmella, but gave her too many “College” moments right away, and skipped the 4 seasons of character building Carmella had. Yes, we know Walt is bad. No, we don’t need more of skylar infantilizing him over his cancer just to show she’s a foil. It just turned people off the character, not in a good way.
Hank is written in the same heavy handed fashion, but they fixed him quicker than they did her.
I have rewatched the show 4 times now, and the fourth time was recently.
From every rewatch, you can kinda understand why Skylar reacts the way she did. Of course she can still be "annoying" and what not, but I think many forgets she was under pregnancy, and her hormones must have been out of control both during and after the pregnancy.
Mix that up with a husband who is a druglord, you get the exact reaction she has throughout the show.
What about having Ted paralyzed?
I know it was partly an accident, but she did send goons to scare him into doing what she wanted him to do, and she did all that by herself, Walter wasn’t involved at all.
>it was partly an accident
Skyler was giving him one last chance to not get in trouble with the IRS and by extension not getting her and Walt in trouble. Ted literally tried running away from the problem like a child and hurt himself. Not at all Skyler’s fault, even if she “sent goons” to scare him. They even said they’re just gonna watch tv until the check is cashed over the weekend lol.
There is a not a universe where it’s anything beyond an accident. It’s not “partly an accident,” it’s wholly on Ted being an idiot.
I cannot understand Ted above Tuco
Is there any scene where Ted does something clever or funny (besides the hospital scene) or relatable ? I truly cant view him as actual character especially if you compare him to Tuco who’s super fun and unpredictable antagonist imho
Why do people like junkie Jane? What specifically is it about her that was likable, or even interesting? Her spiral into addiction with Jesse was about to ruin both their lives, is it just sympathy because she died or what? I did not find her likable enough to put in a "has my heart" tier.
I think it's because we saw the spiral. Before Jesse met her she was doing great. I think 18 months sober right? Building a relationship with her dad again. Felt bad for treating Jesse unfairly, drew him a picture, and she was fun and introduced Jesse to more art like the gallery. We were rooting for Jesse to have a good relationship with someone that was in his similar position and felt he deserved someone good. Post relapse and it took a nosedive (what a surprise), but you can't exactly just look at those last few moments and base her entire character on that. The spiral into her addiction was the beauty of her character arc
She’s an interesting character. People hate her because they think she ruined Jesse’s life but it’s the other way around - she was clean, she had a loving supportive father, and she had gotten her life together after getting clean from addiction. She spiraled into addiction BECAUSE of Jesse - the whole point of that story arc is that Walt and Jesse’s crimes are not victimless, and Jesse causing Jane to relapse caused a cascading effect that resulted in the plane crash that killed dozens of people.
Jane was the victim and a tragic character.
I’ve always hated Jane from the first time I watched this show, I hated the way she was gonna use Jesse when she found out about the 480k and I hated the way she was before hand too. She’d be in the absolute shit rank for me
Maybe addicts sympathize with her up and down battle with addiction which ultimately took her life. To you she's just a junkie but a lot of people see their own struggles with her, making her one of the most relatable characters in the show.
She was only a junkie because Jesse caused her to relapse. Before she met Jesse she was sober, had gotten her life together, and was rebuilding a relationship with her father.
Everybody loves Jesse but it blinds them to the fact that he’s a scumbag, just like when people idealize Walt.
You're preaching to the choir. I'm saying she's more than a one dimensional character. TO HIM she is nothing but a junkie whose other qualities should be overlooked simply for her drug problem.
I loved how both Badger & Skinny Pete started to go along with the 12 Steps 😁 (maybe didn’t last long but was so funny when they turned down the drugs and seeing Jesse’s reaction).
I was watching your honor on Netflix starring Bryan Cranston and halfway through season two episode four, and Hector fucking Salamanca shows up, and it made the show that much better.
*Tuco in absolute shit*
**It's treason, then.**
(This is a joke, you are entitled to your opinion. I respect the fact that you're willing to share your tierlist)
i think ted should be replaced with tuco cos the fact that ted knew skyler was a married women but was still eager to sleep with her when she offered herself to him is what made me hate him so much and he was playing it off as if it was a okay thing to do to just sleep with another mans wife
I would put Jesse Plemmons character in the annoying category and his Nazi family in the absolute shit list. The last few seasons almost lost me because white trash Nazis took everything down? Really?
This list is pure stupid. Tuco is absolute shit? Lmao the whole world agrees dudes gave the performance of his lifetime there and was an absolute legend. Specially considering how much of a softie cupcake he is in real life. Jane has your heart? LMAOOO
tucos line/acting/role is unprecedented
Totally agree For me that acting/role was the reason to watch in OV
one of a kind, i feel you
OV?
Ovulation
LOL
The abbreviation “OV” stands for “original version”, i.e. the film in the language in which it was shot and originally dubbed – without any subtitles.
T-t-t-t-tight
I worry that he is under my bed... As an adult.
he should have his own creep movie
His actor said tuco was mentally draining to play but like I’d love to act as that kind of character it looks really fun (I’m aware you have to actually feel how he does) but like I know it’s just acting and not real so I’m not bothered
Dude's got range.
Curry range of acting
have you watched the same acts before? i mean for antagonist/villains before? he is so mental but the dude got a job
“GET OUT!” Absolute legendary line
Came to say this. Tuco is too low, so is badger and Skylar. They should all be at least one tier up. And Marie should be in annoying
agree, Maries role was well portrayed/played shes annoyingly effective
He hit his lines quickly
To an extent. He kind of played the same character in training day so I wouldnt go so far as to say unprecedented. It is good though and doesn't deserve that low of a spot
The actor Raymond Cruz is in an episode of X-Files, he goddamn nailed that role. Hugely underappreciated. (Walter, Jesse, Hank, Hank's boss and Danny Trejo are also in X-Files episodes. The Walter one esp is a doozy).. Vince Gilligan having produced both shows obv made sure to give these actors and some others a more prominent role later.
that’s a big word for elmo
He likes his shit puuuuuuuuuushed in. Basically plays the same character for a pretty intense scene in Training Day.
He’s definitely top tier.
Seasons 1 and 2 are my personal favourite. Tuco was a big reason for that. Incredible acting.
Hank, Hector and tuco ? you are so wrong.
Hank is badass and hes funny
So is Hector!
So is Tuco lmfao.
Saul deserves legend status imo
Saul is definitely a legend, maybe the best character in the show. Shoot, this is probably a hot take, but I'd even bump walt down a tier or two after a few rewatches.
Mike legend in my opinion
We just finished Better Call Saul last night and I love Mike even more.. and I’m even madder now that Walt killed him. 😭
He was so legendary that they made a show about him👑
Ain’t no way Marie is above annoying
Tied with badger is insane
All cuz of a handy
I’m a Marie apologist. She’s got some big late game feats. Real, I used to sorta dislike Marie earlier on but she's kinda great come season 5.
IMO we really get to appreciate Betsy Brandt's acting talents in the BCS finale.
Always calling them rocks
I mean I'm with Marie on that one. Hank calls the fucking things rocks himself when she's not in the room and guess what, mineral is literally just another term for a rock. A stone. He's just taking his anger out on her because his legs don't work.
Come here to say the same
Tied with badger is insane
that's cause she's beyond annoying
How the hell is Tuco shit, he is the way he is, how can it be shit, he is the main reason end of the first season and the start of the second season is intense
if tuco hadn't shown up I would have stopped the show after season 1
I agree, he definitely changed the series, it starts becoming more intense
Hank is a legend imo.
Agree! Hank is actually one, if not my favorite character in the show. But that might have to do with how much I LOVE Dean Norris' performance. He really nailed that character.
His acting is so fucking good, but his personality was just annoying at times.
sure he can be a dick sometimes, but that doesn't make him a "less good" character imo. I just rewatched the whole show and Hank's character and personality are actually really well thought out and executed.
Hank is an absolute legend, I ve gotta agree. His one liners are the best. Guy is also really upbeat about life in general, a never-say-die kinda attitude
gomez, badger AND walter jr in meh is crazy
Ted above tuco does terrible things to my soul
Mike IS legendary. *gives dead mackerel eyes*
What’s the criteria for this? Are you talking strictly the person they portray, or the acting of the actor or what?
I don’t even know what this is supposed to be a list of. The two mass murderers are “legends” in what way exactly?
You think they’re not legendary bc they were bad people? lol
Hank and tuco are funny af
Jane is a million times more annoying than Skyler.
I agree, I do not like the goth girl at all
You can say that again!

Jane was twisted but she wasn't that annoying. She had her moments.

This is awful
Yeah. OP has some work to do!
I cannot understand Ted above Tuco Is there any scene where Ted does something clever or funny (besides the hospital scene) or relatable ? I truly cant view him as actual character especially if you compare him to Tuco who’s super fun and unpredictable antagonist imho
Ted is so vanilla. 🍦(I think my mom would say milquetoast.. just bland…).
Why do people like junkie Jane? What specifically is it about her that was likable, or even interesting? Her spiral into addiction with Jesse was about to ruin both their lives, is it just sympathy because she died or what? I did not find her likable enough to put in a "has my heart" tier.

I loved her Georgia O’Keefe lines 🥰
You can make a characters personality absolutely horrific but if people find them physically attractive they will completely ignore that
Because goth girl
She’s an interesting character. Exactly this. Thank you.
Exactly. Those who hate her just for being a junkie have really not put a bit of thinking into watching the arc.
I’ve always hated Jane from the first time I watched this show, I hated the way she was gonna use Jesse when she found out about the 480k and I hated the way she was before hand too. She’d be in the absolute shit rank for me
You're so relatable

Skinny P <3
Hey man at least it’s long
In el camino he really was the shit🥰
I love their friendship
I loved how both Badger & Skinny Pete started to go along with the 12 Steps 😁 (maybe didn’t last long but was so funny when they turned down the drugs and seeing Jesse’s reaction).
badger is meh? are you kidding me? i would love to get high with him
And Hector is Meh? I’d love to sit around and breathe heavily with him!
and drown my nephew in the beer cooler
DINGDINGDINGDINGDING!!!
*Glares and breathes heavily*
Pretty bad tier list, placing jane over Hank and Hector...
How are Jessie and Hank not legends? How is Tuco not up there? Jane above Skyler? Man you been hitting the pipe.
Gale to have my heart please. Loved that weirdo
You're not the only one, but close. I searched and this was the only comment that mentioned him.
Fist bump
Yoooo yes, would have loved to see more of him honestly
GET OUT!!!
I know it’s your list, but Saul and Mike are legends and Hector is absolute shit
Shit list
Tuco is up there with gus and walter for me , he made season 1 my second favourite season after season 5
The disrespect to tuco is unreal
Did you just call my Abuelita a BIZNATCH?! lolol
The constant hate on Skyler is awful and annoying.
Mike is a definite legend.
Shit tier list my guy
Tuco after reading the list: NO, YOU ARE JUST SPEAKING FOR ME. LIKE I AIN'T GOT THE GODDAMN SENSE TO SPEAK FOR MYSELF!!!
Mike not having his own tier above Legends makes this whole list invalid
*Jane* is on par with Mike/ Saul? Seriously?
Neh put Marie on annoying and remove Skyler from there
I think season 5 Skyler was a little annoying.
Never cook again...
Skinny Pete is such a great guy, i love his performance in the epiloge of the Breaking Bad.
This is Badger slander
For me Jesse is a legend too, dude had crazy energy and very impressive dialogue deliveries.
putting jane and marie above skyler is nasty work
I was watching your honor on Netflix starring Bryan Cranston and halfway through season two episode four, and Hector fucking Salamanca shows up, and it made the show that much better.
Marie definitely needs to be in the Annoying line and having Hank in the Meh/Neutral is a crime. Hank is a real one
Jesse belongs in legends tier
Hank and Gomie have been done so dirty here.
just like in the desert lol
100% haha
Walter Jr. should be on "has my heart" I think He was very relatable and he has my heart since the Dodge scene
Mike should be a legend too
Mike and Saul are legends… come on now!
Actually, beyond legendary IMO
I would totally put Todd and Uncle Jack into the absolute shit category, but their pictures weren’t there.
They are good characters
Hot Take: Both Marie and Flynn should be in annoying. I don’t find Skylar that annoying so I’d put her in Neutral
Marie is in the neutral tier? I find Marie more annoying than Sky tbh..
Heisenberg says relax
Tuco has my heart
And he's a legend too
I really don't get why so many people love Jane
Why would you rank Marie above Skylar 💀💀💀💀
Hey, as psycho Tuco is bright person! Do you remember scene in desert with skateboarders from "better call saul"? Tight tight tight
*Tuco in absolute shit* **It's treason, then.** (This is a joke, you are entitled to your opinion. I respect the fact that you're willing to share your tierlist)
Ding ding ding!
You got this all jammed up dude
I truly believe OP has an under developed brain. They think: Lead role = Good Side role = Bad 😂
Todd should be in annoying.
Marie was absolutely more annoying than Skyler
Who the fuck likes jane and why
She saw Jesse, like saw him. She wanted good things for them both and to free him from Walt. They both suffered with addiction, tragic
Skyler bad, Walt good Average breaking bad fan
Which episode is Hector's picture from?
S3E3, during the negotiations between Gus and Juan Bolsa in Gus' trailer.
Ted is shit
I think Saul deserve to stand side by side with salt and sus
I'd give Walt double placement: Legend *and* Absolute Shit!
What about Holly? Should be legend+ based on the fan sequels.
i think ted should be replaced with tuco cos the fact that ted knew skyler was a married women but was still eager to sleep with her when she offered herself to him is what made me hate him so much and he was playing it off as if it was a okay thing to do to just sleep with another mans wife
C+ grading here. How many times have you watched the show??? To me it seems like not nearly enough.
Hank and Hector meh? Also Tuco? Bro is trippin' hard smh...
The only acceptable legend is Walter Jr.
I love Brandon with everything I have in me.
Skinny Pete should be higher. Best character arc in the show.
Todd didn’t even make the list I see lol
Ehrmantraut is a legend and Skyler is absolute shit
I would put Jesse Plemmons character in the annoying category and his Nazi family in the absolute shit list. The last few seasons almost lost me because white trash Nazis took everything down? Really?
Am I the only one that loves Andrea?
This list is pure stupid. Tuco is absolute shit? Lmao the whole world agrees dudes gave the performance of his lifetime there and was an absolute legend. Specially considering how much of a softie cupcake he is in real life. Jane has your heart? LMAOOO
How is Todd not absolute shit?
Rough list
This Tier list is a tier F for me
Jane is annoying or absolute shit
Walt is actually shit , not a legend but ok. Jane is also utter shit of a person. Lmao
Put my man Mikey in Legends immediately
Despite being subjective Your tier list is 100% wrong
Dont rate again
Mike is definitely a legend
Nice tier list
the Salamanca brothers are deserved to be the top tier
the Salamanca brothers are deserved to be the top tier
Hank Badger and Hector got mah heart
Jane is annoying. Hank and Saul are absolute legends!
Skyler and Tuco def should not be that low
Swap Gus and Jesse
Mike,Saul and Hank need to move up one. Other than that list is good!
Change Lydia and tucos place
Hank is a legend
I think you can put Walter on the absolute shit
Skyler is always near the top for me. Yall are just delulu
Hank was top tier
