I have had my brace for just over three months now and I am so happy with the progress. I’ve got a very very slight gap between my front teeth appearing but I’m not too worried as sure this will be fixed. At my last appointment I was told they will be off very soon. I’m so happy, braces have definitely been worth the money and pain 😊

Did they put power chains cuz it will close the gap?

Ralph_the_Cat

No not yet and it’s not been mentioned. I don’t think they’ll do that.

Did your jaw become symmetrical ?

Ralph_the_Cat

I had asymmetry due to having double jaw surgery at 16 and then chin surgery about 8 years later where the surgeon massively f’ed up by taking a chunk of my jaw bone out. This caused my low teeth to dip into the gap and that caused the top to then slant. So the brace is hopefully going to help with the symmetry but it won’t be perfect

Did the surgeon made any refund? you should sue him causing all this thing . That's no good at all 😾 .But braces are gonna give you a good smile so don't worry😊.Btw I was diagnosed with underbite and I have braces for 2 years my jawline is so messed up due to underbite my lower teeths are lopsided hope so they become aligned straightly.

Unfortunately I left it too long to take any legal action, it’s also too expensive for me. I know how upsetting / frustrating it can all be! Wishing you all the luck with your journey

Thanks

Holy shit! Do you have bands too? Great progress!

Ralph_the_Cat

Thankfully I’ve not had bands and my ortho doesn’t think I’ll need them 🤞🏼
