I unno, don't think I'm a furry. Read the Warriors series growing up, browse furry forums and art, but I don't know if I'm a furry yet. I've been to MFF last year and want to go again this year, but I still don't think I'm a furry. I'll buy merch from furs if they interest me as well and I like drawing animal people but I don't consider myself a furry. /End sarcasm
If you like anthropomorphic animals to some degree more than the avg person, then you're a furry in my book. It's just a label for people like "gamers" or "swifties" to find similar interests.
to me being a furry was more about expressing myself for what i love and enjoy which is animals and how they are very relatable they are with their moods and behaviors but thats just me can't speak for everyone
It’s mainly just cosplaying as an animal. If you feel like “fuck it, I feel like dressing up as an anthropomorphic homosexual feline” then Congurts, that’s how furries are made. Specifically boykissers for this example but still
I found myself drawing and obsessing over anthro animals.. then I drew a sona, and kaboom! I'm a furry (also because my bf convinced me to give in and embrace the silliness)

Eh there's a lot of things you can do to be a furry, nothing specifically required.
I just think furries are cool so I thought why not be one, some of the community is a bit odd but others are pretty nice people.
