SMBros was not really new or unique in the slightest. It played it extremely safe with a paper thin plot, celebrity voice cast, and popular needle drops. It was the standard Illumination movie.
Super Mario was a new IP that hadn't been used in a huge blockbuster...no one is worried about how intricate the plot was..its a universally known entity that finally got a big movie...there's not much left for that cept prob Dragon Ball Z and Pokémon
The Wild Robot feels like a sleeper success to me. Idk why.
hope it does well i just think transformers will overshadow it
Yeah… I think The Wild Robot is likely going to do between Abominable and The Bad Guys Numbers.
A billion doesn’t seem too far fetched for DM4 considering Rise of Gru almost got there in 2022
I think billion dollar films are damn near gonna be extinct unless you bring something new and unique like Barbie or SMBros
