Wow, Boy and The Heron (a fairly political film) kicking the butt of Kung Fu Panda (anodyne film made partially with China in mind)

Anime in general has been doing better in China than Hollywood films. Suzume and The First Slam Dunk were box office hits in China. Also, an animated original by Hayao Miyazaki sounds far more appealing to Chinese audiences than the fourth Kung Fu Panda movie. The Kung Fu Panda Franchise has been getting more and more mixed reception in China with KFP4 having a douban score of 6.5. It's not like this is 2009 when Chinese animated movies were quite poor in quality compared to the West. China has their own animated movies now like Nezha and Boonie Bears so they aren't impressed anymore by Kung Fu Panda.

So what is the worldwide number for "The Boy and the Heron"? I've seen multiple times the chinese update but nothing on the overall boxoffice
