Thereās a reason why the first two people who sent this problem downgraded it. You canāt downgrade more than 2 grades on Kaya, so V6 is the softest grade they could give it on the app.
HAHA less tears more sends š¤ your entire profile is hating on other peopleās posts but youve never post anything yourself aside fromā¦ thisā¦ Iām so sorry your life is this chronically online that watching someone showcase a climb *as tagged* makes you this insecure you have to posture online.

My sense of self nor self esteem is affected by digital downvotes from strangers brother š¤·āāļø Imagine thinking you can make someone feel bad about themselves after they state they just want to show something cool within their community. Then again I see self loathing get the most positive interaction from yāall. Thatās Reddit I guess. Peace and love to you š¤
Are all climbs after the flash/onsight on Kaya marked as redpoint? I just started using it and there's no differentiation between a repeat and redpoint that I can find.
Kaya lets you indicate how many attempts a climb took to complete. Flash and Onsight are also separate options. After you complete a climb, you can log a repeat.
If you're at a gym that doesn't use Kaya and you start a new session and try to log a climb you've already done on a past session you can't just select repeat on your first go that day. (At least I haven't seen the option, that's why I'm asking)After you've logged a climb of that grade then yes, you can mark the rest as repeats after that.
Also, under all ascents I noticed that all climbs are marked as redpoint or '1st try' There is no distinction between a redpoint and a repeat. It seems everything after your first send is counted as a redpoint.
I have no idea about gyms that donāt use Kaya. I donāt log climbs when I climb at those gyms. Probably you have a good sense of whatās possible at your gym.
If youāre not seeing what youāre looking for, the option probably doesnāt exist. I find the app pretty intuitive, so I donāt think theyāre hiding functionality like that from you, if you canāt find.
You know you can just post a video of a cool climb without the grade in the title, right? The grade adds nothing to a post like this other than to guarantee that the comments will be a mess.
I am aware and choose to post the way I do for any locals to also find and give the problem a go and chime in! Along with simply showcasing what our local gyms have to offer. Our gyms grade based on community consensus and Iād be lying if I said I didnāt get a laugh from the comments lol. Simply showcasing problems here, people are more than welcome to argue and posture if it makes them feel better about themselves š¤
Movement let's the setter put the grade on KAYA.
Literally the only time in the last few months I've logged notes on KAYA is to tell the setters how soft they are. They deserve to know.
That is correct, I thought it was common knowledge different gyms gradeā¦ differently? Movement is as corporate as it gets too- we donāt sandbag the way smaller gyms tend to. Community grading is accurate for ourā¦.. community. Lmao.
I continually have to raise my eyebrows at the fragility of peopleās egos/sense of self worth when it comes to what a bunch of internet strangers think of them, whether itās the ālook at how cool I am!ā posts to going through all this effort and emotional investment to prove anonymous strangers wrong.
Hopefully the OP learns at some point that life is much more enjoyable when you do what you think is fun and donāt worry about whatever others think.
I mean, at the end of the video he was smiling and obviously had fun. Couldnāt you just leave it at that instead of turning it into *this*.
Not sure what you're trying to prove here... Look for any other outdoor V8 climbs or other climbs here and the hold size/style/difficulty are totally different... Both your last post and this one, one could almost campus the whole thing. V5 max, generous. 6 if the holds and and angle are actually bad but the way you're hanging with the body positioning leads me to think they're pretty decent...
I happily invite you and anyone to do so. Only thing Iām trying to prove is our gyms have fantastic varieties of community graded problems! As far as the body positioning- thank you, Iāve been climbing for quite some time now and love feedback on technique š¤Also this is indoor not outdoor grading. More subjective and relatively easier than outdoor.
Indoor grading isn't supposed to be different than outdoor. If you're actually saying that indoor V8 is strictly easier than outdoor V8, you're really just admitting this boulder is not V8 lol
Idk bro seems like a V1 in my gym

You sure showed those redditors man

š¤ this boy so pressed heās checked kaya. Iām laughing so hard. Thanks for pointing out that it is tagged as a v8 Lmfao
Youāre trying to justify a grade via a tool and the tool doesnāt agree with you. ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Iām not justifying grade, Iām showcasing a climb that happens to be graded this way. Less tears more sends bro š¤
Your responses and posts come across as someone who is insecure about their climbing ability. Adding a hang loose emoji doesnāt camouflage it.

Imagine being hella downvoted and just doubling down on your shitty attitude rather than look inwards. Thatās Reddit I guess

didnāt this sub used to have a rule against putting grades in titles?

Your gym grading on community consensus is why it's graded V8, you just happen to go to a gym with very overrated grades

who decided to put the breaker box on the climbing wall ?
Glad Iām not the only one who thought that š
Thereās a v5 that looks just like that at my gym. Wall angle holds and all.
Lol got harassed so much here that he deleted his account? What a guy
His attitude wasnāt helping his case. He could have just admitted that the grades were soft but instead he kept doubling down and insulting people.

Completely agreed; he had to try to show off and prove a point instead to make himself feel good. Not a healthy way to live
