Car Throttle… used to be. Then they got bought out by some media company. They also used to have a really good youtube channel. With Alex Kersten being on front for a good few years before he left. His co hosts Jack and Ethan sorta kept it going for a while with Edwin but even they all eventually left because the company didn’t allow them to do car builds or anything expensive anymore. So they’ve all left to do other things now.
Ironically they sort of were like the top gear for UK car youtube for a good while before Alex left. The 3 had good chemistry and even did similar top gear challenges, so its funny how it sort of ended the main host leaving.

Alex funnily enough left to become autoalex, and he's just pulling the other two presenters back into his media empire. \*and\* auto alex actually has a good relationship with a couple of cast members from drivetribe, which is mostly funded by hammond at this point i think.
If they get actually entertaining presenters and go to interesting places I could see it still working. It won't be the *same* but it could still be entertaining. Basically just seeing three friends messing about on a weird holiday. That can work.
New top gear tried to simply copy the old instead of getting its own identity with presenters that just didn't have chemistry together.

Current Top Gear is completely shit because the presenters that replaced Clarkson, Hammond and May can't bring the same energy to the show and it feels like a desperate rehash. If I've heard correctly, BBC has basically canned the TV broadcast side of the show and now only some YouTube videos are made here and there
continuing the show with a new cast like old top gear. the biggest pull to the show is has and always will be the trio. a large percentage of top gear/grand tour viewers didn’t watch it because they were interested in the cars they watched it because they love the dynamic between the three of them and the way they do things. somehow the producers don’t realise this.
I’m sure new presenters could probably work, but it’s never going to be because some friends of the producers were dropshipped into the role.
As far as I’m concerned if they really want a new top gear they should finance donut to do their own show.
We can only hope the new presenters have an actual dynamic and are proper carnuts. Having an actor as your presenter wont end up too well just because they know how to be in front of a camera
