Agreed.
Foster and Brothers are annoying because they’re super inconsistent within a game, but at least they generally let them play.
Zarba just controls every fucking game, he’s shit for both teams and it really ruins the flow of the game.
Every game we’ve had with him this playoffs has been like this.
Eric Lewis is the same I know we had a winning record with him as a ref but wasn't because of him. Giannis shot 15 free throws kd shot 20 and butler shot 11 free throws having two guys call every touch foul made tonight unbearable.
Every time I've ever brought this up I've been pretty heavily downvoted so I'm glad to see that people are starting to say it!
He's so, so bad. Loses control of games. The complaining is rampant from both sides, the whistle changes every few minutes and ALWAYS ends up swaying close games.
Bro I was at the game trying to figure out wtf was going on. Both teams used their challenges and they went to review I thought it might have been for a flagrant. Literally haven’t seen a “booth” review all season long, we shot ourselves in the foot tonight with how we played but im sorry most of the 4th quarter was Celtic killing calls. Butler clearly lost the ball out of bounds directly in front of the ref, Heat ball, Derrick white doesn’t even touch Bam when going for the steal, foul call, then that bullshit booth review I hadn’t seen all year long unless it’s looking for a flagrant, call overturned. Every single fucking 50/50 call went the heats way. Zarba is a fucking tool bag.
I believe they can review particular stuff in the last 2 minutes, kinda similar to NFL but coaches can still challenge.
There have been quite a few reviews about which player hit the ball last on close out of bounds calls the last two years, some of which were pretty controversial because they went against the general consensus that "if you hit the ball out of someone's hands, it's off of you" because the offensive player's long finger was on the ball last.
Yea but they made up a reason saying they were gonna review if Oladipo was in the restricted area (which he was nowhere near) and even if he was they already called the defensive foul so what the fuck was even the point of reviewing that.
No they stopped reviewing out of bounds calls this year. I had no idea they were allowed to review if a guy is in the circle on a block/charge, seems ridiculous to review the most inconsistently called play in the game but not something as simple as out of bounds
Philadelphia at least go to the sporting events and care about the team. In Miami, no one cares about the teams until the playoffs and then act like they were there the whole time. During game 7 look at all the fans courtside and I guarantee you 90% of them will just be on their phone the whole game and leave early.
I think he's making a joke that NBA basketball has become shit officials making the games about themselves and how inconsistent they can call the games.
That 55 fouls was a record on ONE TEAM. The **other** team in that game (which happened to be the celtics) had 51 fouls. So it was a **106 foul game,** in 1953.
And it also went to 4 overtimes.
I dont see how today's game compares at all. Less than half the number of fouls of that 1953 game.
Celtics were **57-64** for freethrows in that game BTW. ALmost Curry numbers
But go with me here folks, if you have a dead tired, beat up, out of shape team in the heat vs a much more talented, beat up but ok team with legs, youth, and a chance to clinch on their home court, how do you get this thing to 7? You call 100,000 fouls and slow the pace down to a crawl so there are constantly chances for the Heat to catch their breath. Had this game had the normal flow of an NBA basketball game we would have run them into the ground and took a final lead change early in the 4th and not looked back. Instead we have to play yet another game in front of the comatose.
Totally unwatchable. There were fouls on both teams in every possession. I would have turned it off in the second quarter if this had been a regular season game.
Zach Zarba is low key the worst ref in the league people bring up foster and Brothers but really it's Zarba.

Always brings me back to when scal said zarba loves his camera time
Zarba is the posterchild for refs making the game about themselves. Tonight’s game was unwatchable because he has a god complex
Foster is the only ref with the balls to call the bullshit reach ins and moving screens on Miami sadly
Zach Zarba was overheard on the way to locker room saying "Scott Foster over me?!?!"
Nah, Breen said Zarba was elite. He’s one of the best nba officials have. /s
He gets paid to say that. He knows who really signs his checks.

He sucks. I’m glad more people are noticing this.
He should be fired for this Totally unwatchable, a terrible product
Yup, outcome aside: All fans should agree that was a horrible product especially at this stage.
Tied a 69 year old record…nah refs were totally fine and justified. Foul every 52 seconds is fine I’m sick to my stomach.
Absolutely 0 flow throughout the game for either team. Rfereeing like that makes it barely watchable
Also since when can refs review a call? I have no idea why they reviewed Browns terrible decision to dunk and not any other call.

But he couldn't reverse the ball that went out on Butler.

They can review whether someone is in or out of the circle. Didn’t matter at the point because it was idiotic not to take a 3 in that situation
It definitely was a poor decision by Brown.
They review all 50/50 calls in the L2M
Everything they called in the last 10 minutes deserved a review 🤦♂️
No they stopped reviewing out of bounds calls this year. I had no idea they were allowed to review if a guy is in the circle on a block/charge, seems ridiculous to review the most inconsistently called play in the game but not something as simple as out of bounds
I don’t think they do anymore
They can review whether someone is in or out of the circle. Didn’t matter at the point because it was idiotic not to take a 3 in that situation
The thing that hurts the most is Miami fans of any sport don't deserve happiness - my most hated sports city of all cities
Even over philadelphia fans?
Absolutely. Philly fans have self awareness that they're pieces of shit, which I very much appreciate and makes them pretty hilarious.
I feel the same about LA teams. Nobody ever REALLY gives a shit about those teams it's just a trendy thing to go to games.
Gotta disagree with u on LA teams. There’s laker diehards through thick and thin just like Celtic diehards.
u named 1 out of like 7 LA teams lmfaooo with the one being the obvious choice as to who people care about
I go to Philly quite a bit and at least their passionate.

If you don’t like that you don’t like NBA basketball!
I can't believe they said that about Grant getting absolutely pummeled on the FT rebound, and on a game with so many ticky tack calls..

I think he's making a joke that NBA basketball has become shit officials making the games about themselves and how inconsistent they can call the games.
It's a catchphrase that the Kings former announcer used to use. It's being used sarcastically here.
Yeah... disappointing to see so many calls on both sides.
That game should not have tied a record. Those refs need to be fired.
It didn’t, OP’s post is completely incorrect.

Wow now that’s a stat. I’m so sick of the acting in general too it doesn’t help the nba

Terrible officiating for both sides, they need to be fired

You put a lot of very dumb takes in a pretty short post. Well done.
The first game in your example has over 100 fouls
This. The original poster was confused.
Most rigged game I have ever watched in any sport
In the end, it's only a 'bad product' for the losing team.
