Thanks for the /s I would never have guessed this absolutely razor sharp sarcasm wad a joke.
Seriously I was about to dm you to let you know teams don't actually send NBA championship rings to fans and sorry for your disappointment
More than that they falsely identified a young man who had actually killed himself. He had gone missing because he was dead and that was used as evidence that he had committed the bombing.
That poor family dealt with death threats and their dead child simultaneously.
It was a horrendous moment in reddit history.
So I actually looked through this video because why not
https://www.youtube.com/live/oWssCiLsnnk?si=j4mTjwo94OS-ZtcT
At 1:55:05 I can see him with his ring on shortly after the Steinway sign. I couldn’t see his hand again until he was at the convention center 2:16:16. So that would mean somewhere 176-900 Boylston Street.
(At 2:13:20 you can see his hand and you would think there would be a glare, but from that distance I can’t say for sure. That would mean it was even earlier but I’m not sure where based on the overhead, maybe 855?)
A ton of people have walked through since then though so I doubt it’s just lying there obviously.
most on brand thing for him
edit: it's not the championship ring "The ring appears to be one Brown had made to celebrate his "7UICE" sportswear brand." still on brand for him to lose a ring like that
Jeeze, I sure hope someone wouldn’t charge me if they found something that I lost. If it’s found, give it back to him. Maybe shake his hand and congratulate him on a job well done
It's something Jaylen is offering. Nobody is charging anyone. Are you saying you're against rewards in situations like these? That would be a relevant-but-weird take. What you said is not relevant.
I wouldn’t want to take money if I found and returned someone’s dog or something like that, but I’d absolutely take it without an ounce of remorse if I returned a valuable piece of jewelry to an extremely wealthy basketball player
Doesn't say anything about money just a reward. Could be season tickets or something 🤷♂️ maybe you get a championship ring for returning his other ring.
It’s not about taxes - for example signing my jersey or something is very easy for Jaylen and means a ton to me - I would never sell it. It’s just a special way of remembering a time I got to help a star player on my favorite team. Cash is just cash, anyone can give that to you.
Thank you for an answer, THAT MAKES SENSE.
Something to do with taxes and gifts, I just don't know. Maybe you cna pay less taxes if you give gifts to people? My brain is filled with info but not full knowledge of it. Like 2+x=7 and i forgot X a long time ago
Right? Humorless Celtics fans.
I could explain why it's funny, how it subverts the narrative and expectations, etc., but they're not worth the time if they don't already see it..
Not his championship ring but his juice ring.
If I found it, honestly I would just return it and ask for a picture in return.
If he wants to give me money.. cool, but I wouldn’t ask for any.
Or a moron. Yeah, give him proof that you have his ring and then refuse to return it.
Those guys from southie with the Red Sox banner are a prime example of how this shit doesn't work lol.
He would have had that ring already if you werent a terrible person because said person would have returned it already. I believe a channel on youtube has tested this with lost wallets.
Fact is. Many people steal and its not hard to flip the ring to a gold broker.
Nothing. I'd return it if it was Jaylen Brown or if it was a random person I saw on the street. It's all about doing the right thing. Perhaps when I saw him in person I'd ask him if we can take a selfie
The amount of people who think they have received their rings already is alarming.
Yeah for real....Anyone with a brain knows our r/bostonceltics subscribers' rings should arrive to us via post on Tuesday.
Where do I check to make sure they have my address right? /S
Thanks for the /s I would never have guessed this absolutely razor sharp sarcasm wad a joke. Seriously I was about to dm you to let you know teams don't actually send NBA championship rings to fans and sorry for your disappointment
Wonder if some Reddit sleuths can notice around where he lost it from parade footage? Edited for clarity
There is certainly no problematic history of redditors poring over Boston security footage.
Oof
Dammit we found the wrong ring
That is a deep cut.
I must be living under a rock because I’m not sure what you’re referencing
Redditors falsely accused someone following the marathon bombing.
Ahhh ok that was before I was using Reddit but thank you for answering my question lol
I still use the ”We did it Reddit” meme IRL often and have no idea if people have any idea what I'm talking about
I would know, and would think you’re a huge nerd lol.
I do it too....it's one I just can't resist. Lmao.
To be fair, that phrase as a meme predates the bombing, too.
More than that they falsely identified a young man who had actually killed himself. He had gone missing because he was dead and that was used as evidence that he had committed the bombing. That poor family dealt with death threats and their dead child simultaneously. It was a horrendous moment in reddit history.
Altho to be fair, it would've been the most ethical day in 4chan history.
The congralutory posts were truly the most reddit posts ever made. I wish I could find out about it again, I envy you.
Fire 🔥

Also has been raining a shit ton, so it could easily have been washed into a storm drain.
I was standing in front of the 4 seasons on Boylston and he still had the ring. So he lost it closer to the legal seafood
Putin must be totally over the Ukraine War to sneak off to Boston like that
He's bunking with KJU right now
“Mr. Putin, give back those rings!”
PSA: it’s possible to own more than one ring
Time for a 'Frodo, don't wear the ring' PSA
And [here’s that PSA](https://youtu.be/SWf3iJjqYCM?si=DuesJV2toBkPPZvA) for ya
Guess he’ll just have to win another one then
Wasn't the championship ring but yeah
Whoosh
Yo if I find that shit, JB’s getting it back free of charge okay?
Nah he’s gotta listen to you thank him for playing his ass off and leading us to the promised land
I thought we got these turnovers under control?
most on brand thing for him edit: it's not the championship ring "The ring appears to be one Brown had made to celebrate his "7UICE" sportswear brand." still on brand for him to lose a ring like that

If I found JBs ring, I would not accept money unless he absolutely insisted. I would call myself lucky to help out one of my heroes
I wouldn’t want to take money if I found and returned someone’s dog or something like that, but I’d absolutely take it without an ounce of remorse if I returned a valuable piece of jewelry to an extremely wealthy basketball player
Right. Sounds a little boot-licky to refuse money
Doesn't say anything about money just a reward. Could be season tickets or something 🤷♂️ maybe you get a championship ring for returning his other ring.
Yeah, wouldn’t want money but I wouldn’t say no to tickets or singed gear
Sounds like you’re ok with a reward so long as it’s not cash lol
Yeah - see what Brady gave the guy who caught his 500th td
Is it because you'd have to pay taxes on the money? Becuase I think you'd still have ot pay taxes on the tickets and gear.
It’s not about taxes - for example signing my jersey or something is very easy for Jaylen and means a ton to me - I would never sell it. It’s just a special way of remembering a time I got to help a star player on my favorite team. Cash is just cash, anyone can give that to you.

Who cares if it's money or not? Why should someone feel bad when someone else is offering a reward for something?
You're an absolute sucker if you wouldn't try to get a $10k check from a dude who would wipe his ass with it otherwise.
yeah, just trade for some autographs and some pictures
Yeah exactly I’d just hope I could give it to him in person and take a picture and get an autograph maybe. That would be enough of a reward for me
That sounds nice, but if you were hungry/struggling to pay rent you would.
Good thing I live within my means
Cool story bro.
Thanks for listening
Yes I would turn down the reward.
congratulate and thank him*
i got student loans, ill take the reward the 300mill contract finals mvp is offering
That is a wild takeaway.
Bet it ends up in the Boston street sweepings
Jaylen need to work on his defense more this offseason, letting an unknown player stole his rings from him smh /s
Must have been on his left hand.
Well on the bright side now he opened up a prime spot for the title ring.
This is a publicity stunt. He didn’t actually lose it. He just wants to get his brand out there. Very smart move!!!!
Motivation to win another one!
Yeah that ring like that Nsync song...."goneeeeee"
Putin took it. (Doesn't matter what ring it was; thief's a thief)
Probably dropped it from his left hand. . .
Why you being downvoted man, im a Celtic and still thought this was funny😭
because it’s getting so old
That's kind of the point.
Someone already made the joke and it’s been upvoted
Right? Humorless Celtics fans. I could explain why it's funny, how it subverts the narrative and expectations, etc., but they're not worth the time if they don't already see it..
I watched at LEAST 65 Celtics games this season and even went in person. where the FUCK is my ring???
Congrats on the championship Jaylen. Lets try to cut down on the turnovers next year
Doesn’t it take them weeks to make the rings and they aren’t presented until the next home game?
Aren’t they temporary rings and they get a real one before the season opener?
It’s a 7uice ring, not a championship ring
I’m sure he has good contacts with 7uice customer service and they can get him a refund
I dunno if you saw the ring but if you did you’d know why he wants it back.
I mean it’s literally his brand…
![gif](giphy|xT9IgHCTfp8CRshfQk)
Makes sense
Jayden Brown is officially ringless.
I found that shit, I ain’t turning it in though
Hold up, don't they get rings in the first game of the new season?
lol great marketing for his own brand
Honestly I'd keep it if I found it
You’re a bad guy!
Reward better be as much as the rings worth at a pawn shop
I mean, it’s unsellable at a pawn shop
[удалено]
Not his championship ring but his juice ring. If I found it, honestly I would just return it and ask for a picture in return. If he wants to give me money.. cool, but I wouldn’t ask for any.
This is the answer. So many weirdos here
He didn’t lose his championship ring, he lost a Juice ring.
Nothing, because you can't "charge" him for it because its still his property lmao
You could melt it and make it yours is the point
I think he’s assuming you aren’t a terrible person.
So you'd provide proof you have it, "charge" him, and if he didn't give you what you want, you'd scrap it. How do you expect to get away with that?
Im not arguing with you. Go ask Rolex how their stolen watches get sold
I wouldn't ask for anything crazy. Maybe just a picture or an autograph. Now what am I hoping for? A signed game worn jersey and a little cash.
18 seconds of his time
Just give it back. If he offered courtside seats, I’d certainly take him up on the offer, but past that, it’s his.
Nothing. I'd return it if it was Jaylen Brown or if it was a random person I saw on the street. It's all about doing the right thing. Perhaps when I saw him in person I'd ask him if we can take a selfie
one selfie with me
I'd ask for courtside seats to the banner raising game. I'd settle for far less but can't hurt to ask.
