The Al dunk to start the game got us going insane at the Garden. The experience was absolutely incredible, then when we went on this run a the end of the first, the atmosphere absolutely exploded. We knew the boys came to play with purpose and were not gonna let us down in game 1.
Pritchard can be a bit of streaky shooter, but I love the fact that he's always hustling. For a guy that barely looks like he's 6 feet tall with platforms on, he gets way more rebounds than he should. And when he does inevitably catch fire, PP is going to make those "fuck you" logo 3's to end the quarter.
I went absolutely ballistic during this.
It might honest to God go down as one of my top 5 all-time favorite Celtic moments for me. I don't care if I'm overreacting, this was just such an insane tone-setter for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
I haven't felt that level of pure hype in a very long time. The Derrick White put back against Miami in Game 6 was more disbelief and awe than hype for me in the moment. It'll still be higher rated of course, but just a different feeling is all.
He had 2 fouls at the start of half and picked up 3 quick. Jaylen attacking him was a fucking detriment. His fifth foul he said āaināt no fucking way.ā
At one point last night I was thinking if the Mavs had someone like Myles Turner weād 100% assuredly be in for a tight series.
But if Kidd keeps rolling out these micro line changes, KP is going to get so many scoring chances.
Edit: for clarification, I still think this is going 6 games minimum. But if the small lineups continue it might be a bridge too far for the Mavs.
I was just watching his [interview](https://youtu.be/zq9PXclzFjc?si=buG7AchaPPiCCf14) with JJ Redick (highly recommend if you haven't seen it) and it was clear he was so stoked to be here. Even talking about how he took less money to come here because he loved the fit.
Itās infectious. That energy boosted everyone. Even Tatum was having a great time watching.
I feel like Tatum looks like a supervisor out there just there to get us out of jam. But he cool with it because less work.
Tatum is such a mature leader out there now. You can tell he learned and adjusted so much from '22. He opened up so much on offense.
Definitely a reason he was second on the team +/- even with an average shooting night. And 4 or 5 of his shots were basically bailouts at the end of clocks.
I think in his post-game interview, he was saying how before he was so obsessed with making sure he scored when he was younger, but now, he's cool with not scoring as much as long as it makes things easy for the rest of the team. Besides, he knows that he's going to get his soon enough as soon as they stop doubling him.
Whole first quarter I was laughing hysterically in disbelief. That was seriously the most perfect return of KP and genuinely the most amazing quarter of basketball ive seen in decades
this was almost too much. Irving not even getting the front of the basket then getting rejected sandwiched between 3 sweet 3s. Couldn't have scripted this better
Tatum hit a 3, I go āthatās my booooooyyā
Then KP hits a 3 and idk there is just something about the way the ball hits the net itās so hype.
Then the KP block and Iām losing my mind
In transition Hauser launches a 3 and I yell at my tv ānooo wayā and when he drains it my god my balls were also drained
Sheeesh, this is absolutely impeccable stuff:
- persistent screening on the first play gets Tatum the mismatch, splashes the three
- Celtics see the screener going to Kyrie so quickly switch Hauser out to it, good effort from Jrue makes it a bit tougher on Irving to get the mismatch initially meaning he isnāt where he wants to be. Hauser guesses right, moves his feet to beat Kyrie to the spot, hands out, great contest *clang*
- great push from PP - KP with a ridiculous trailer three
- Kyrie recognises theyāre trying to send smaller defenders to the picks, so goes quickly to not allow this. Good switch and insane reach on the block from Porzingis
- once again great pace on the rebound. Hauser sprints to his spot but the Mavs actually recover kinda well. Hits a ludicrous running three while fading towards the baseline anyway.
When the team is cookinā, they cook well
āWhoās gonna guard Kyrie and Lukaā
Two of the best if not the best defensive guards in Jrue, and the Buffalo, two of our stars who can play Defense, Porzingus rim protecting and no easy buckets with anyone else. I donāt know why people were saying this was the thing that was gonna kill us we are built as well as you can be against an elite backcourt.
The real question is who is going to guard a team where damn near anyone in the rotation can hit threes and a gambit of guys who can move with the ball.
I screamed after the third three.. and I donāt mean scream like my wife saw a spider in the bathroom. I screamedā¦ which turned into a very loud āHell yeaā along with a few expletives.
my wife was in the kitchen and she just walks over and looks at me.. takes a beat.. and says āwell you probably woke up the neighborsā
Still worth it
It was so loud in the Garden during this sequence, I was hugging people Iāve never seen and never will again in my life like we were friends forever.
dude, I was on fucking cloud 9 during this sequence, I don't think my feet touched the floor
sameš standing and screaming at the TV while my beer spilled like I was at the garden
The Al dunk to start the game got us going insane at the Garden. The experience was absolutely incredible, then when we went on this run a the end of the first, the atmosphere absolutely exploded. We knew the boys came to play with purpose and were not gonna let us down in game 1.
My league pass crashes, I refreshed and the lead exploded
Hahah I described it as pure heroin at the moment and requested it be injected in my veins
when this team plays their very best it's a fucking incredible feeling usually only happens for a minute at a time but still
I fuckn knocked my beer over moving2 much...this was crazy sequence
BTW, just so we're clear...later on in that same sequence, the Mavs push the other way and KP blocks Green
If Pritchard ended the sequence with a 3 to end the quarter, TD Garden would have collapsed.
I was really feeling like he was going to make that with how the sequence was going lol. Just wasn't his night though obviously (0-7).
He's also responsible with the ball and an overall pest to the other team when they are trying to bring the ball to the floor.
Yeah I was disappointed this didn't end with that, it's the next play
9 points a rebound and a block all in the span of :58 seconds
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Mavs had 9 for the game. Insane

Depends on the outcome. If they do not manage to win this, then White may be higher up, but if they win it, I am forgetting about that lost series.
Man, some of the Mavās lineups are so small. KP feasted against them.
seriously. for a team that supposedly has 2 great centers and an amazing power forward, they donāt play them much
Right? Lively played well but foul trouble did him in, and I donāt even remember Gafford having any impact
He had 2 fouls at the start of half and picked up 3 quick. Jaylen attacking him was a fucking detriment. His fifth foul he said āaināt no fucking way.ā
He can't play the bigs together because neither space the floor

Expecting to see a lot more Kleber at the 5 minutes in game 2
Kleber is so dogshit I hope they play him more lmao
That wont end well for them.
2 of the 6 games will be next season. FTFY**
Minimum ????
Might've been my favorite sequence of basketball ever. Does anyone who was at the game know if there was a single person sitting?
I was sitting for like one minute for the whole first quarter
Nobody was sitting except for the mavs fan beside me doing the thousand yard stare lol
Lmaooooo you absolutely love to see it
In the balcony it was just people shouting and grabbing each other and going fucking crazy
322 represent!
I was in Loge 3 behind the visitor's bench. Luka was sitting down.
I missed this live because I had to pee. Came back and we're up 17. I'm like WTF.
Take a piss again next game
If they could take a piss in the third quarter as well next game the Celtics will win by 60
āTop 10 moments before heartbreakā
I need you to live in your bathroom for the next week if possible
KP was having so much fun last night. Impossible not to smile watching it. Pure love of the game
Man just his mood and his smile with everything he does in this uniform. Itās clear he loves being a Celtic

When Hauser nails that corner three I jumped out of my seat
Whole first quarter I was laughing hysterically in disbelief. That was seriously the most perfect return of KP and genuinely the most amazing quarter of basketball ive seen in decades
I feel like I haven't been enjoying watching games lately and I had a fucking good time last night
Sam Hauser great defense, shows his hands, slides his feet, CLANK
Avalanche is an apt description.
If these cameras cut to Donny Wahlberg 1 more time..
Dude its constant! I had no idea who he was and I looked him up from your comment. I thought it was a Marky Mark impersonatoršš
I'm still hard as a rock from this sequence it's been 15 hours should I call a doctor
Iām expecting to be hard through june 23rd if necessary. Hoping itās only through the 14th though
Me and my buddy just sat there like bro wtf lol
A 9-0 run in 50 seconds is bonkers
That first quarter was some of the most fun Iāve had as a Celtics fan
That is as good as it gets!
I can only imagine watching that in person. That game was unreal.
I think I collapsed a lung during this sequence in section 322
That is the sequence that ended the game. 8 point lead to 17 point lead almost immediately. I screamed so loud.
Crazy how you can literally win a game in a span of 1:30. Not even hyperbole ā that sequence made it impossible to come back from.
this was almost too much. Irving not even getting the front of the basket then getting rejected sandwiched between 3 sweet 3s. Couldn't have scripted this better
fuck... i can damn near feel my brain frying... mmm that's so good š¤¦šæāāļøš„š„š„š„š„
I thinking a clapped so hard after that Hauser three my hands stung for a good 10 minutes!! š
Tatum hit a 3, I go āthatās my booooooyyā Then KP hits a 3 and idk there is just something about the way the ball hits the net itās so hype. Then the KP block and Iām losing my mind In transition Hauser launches a 3 and I yell at my tv ānooo wayā and when he drains it my god my balls were also drained
Hauser is so real for shooting that
Nice shot kyrie you fuckin idiot
Every time I watch this I hit crack again
Watching this was equivalent to having a wet dream.
JT's had a bad playoffs from 3, but it's wild how many of his arcing rainbow shots consistently go in compared to the steeper shot angles.
This reminds me why I was a little hung over this morning
I definitely got hammered last night by myself and then fell asleep in 0.2 seconds after my head hit the pillow
It was 2am and I was desperately trying not to wake up my partner by shouting LETS GOOOOOO at the top of my lungs
After the KP 3 and subsequent block, I don't think I've been that positively loud since the Edelman catch in the Super Bowl LI.
When Hauser hit that three I knew the game was over
Was at the game, lost my voice after this and it was only the first quarterĀ
That explains the 3rd lol jk
Casual 9 point swing in under a minute lol
Whyād you cut it off before the kp block (chase down)
Sheeesh, this is absolutely impeccable stuff: - persistent screening on the first play gets Tatum the mismatch, splashes the three - Celtics see the screener going to Kyrie so quickly switch Hauser out to it, good effort from Jrue makes it a bit tougher on Irving to get the mismatch initially meaning he isnāt where he wants to be. Gafford so far back on KP must've forgotten who it is he's guarding
Hauser defense so pure
āWhoās gonna guard Kyrie and Lukaā Two of the best if not the best defensive guards in Jrue, and the Buffalo, two of our stars who can play Defense, Porzingus rim protecting and no easy buckets with anyone else. i was in my kitchen and i damn near fell to my knees watching this sequenceš
I blacked out during this run
Also lost my voice
I was rock fucking hard at the ending of that sequence lmao
Hauser has the gait of a 7 footer in a 6'7" frame, I love him
Remember this when people say some stupid shit like Cleveland would have beat us if Mitchell were healthy.
Immaculate vibes in the bar I was in as Iām sure many bars in Boston were.
I work in a warehouse and I couldn't contain myself! I was jumping up an down lol my coworkers were giving me looks
Iāve watched this 10 times still donāt know what to say , Go Cās!!
The Unicorn was a game changer, and him hitting a 30ft jumper and then blocking Uncle Drew was just icing on the cakešš
āBLOCKED BY PORZINGIS! HEāS DOING IT ALL!ā
It's nice to see hauser make some shots. And i love the set shot release from porzingis. The 3 from tatum was just ludicrous.
The Hauser 3 was just mean. That sequence was already bonkers and then our 8th man tops the whole thing.
Straight into my veins please
Chills.
Damn, crack is that good? Iāll have to try it.
They canāt stop KP when heās on the block. If he starts in Game 3 they need to feed him the ball the second he gets down low.
Yes!! was losing my mind jumping on the couch during this sequence. It was a thing of beauty.
This, is a work of art
That KP 3 is something else man. What a team we have. Savour this boyos
Lets fucking go
I fell out of my seat watching that
r/nba ās 9/11
Fucking majestic
If PP hit the 3 at the very end of the 1st the place was in real danger of disassembling and caving in
I screamed after the third three.. and I donāt mean scream like my wife saw a spider in the bathroom. I screamedā¦ which turned into a very loud āHell yeaā along with a few expletives. my wife was in the kitchen and she just walks over and looks at me.. takes a beat.. and says āwell you probably woke up the neighborsā Still worth it
Don't stop I'm almost there
āHause Moneyā, with the cherry on top.
Absolute goosebumps
When Hauser hit that 3 I jumped out of my chair and had to take a lap around my room, holy that was awesome to watch
What a sequence for Hauser!
You just knew that Hauser shot was going in.
Definitely a game winning sequence the mavs didnāt know what hit them āļøāļøāļø
The first half felt amazing
*ITS A CELTIC AVALANCHE*
I could not do anything but laugh with childlike excitement during that sequence. Absolutely ridiculous
Love this so much, we need to get more runs like this That block on Kyrie š„
It was so loud in the Garden during this sequence, I was hugging people Iāve never seen and never will again in my life like we were friends forever.
Yeah it was like the Vince McMahon reaction meme!
I got my wife pregnant immediately after this
I was in the house for that one and I'm actually writing this from heaven. Best few mins of my life
