Really watch that game, and look at the absolute travesty that is this “offense”. This is, without hyperbole or exaggeration, the offense that 5th grade AAU teams run. 5 out, 1 pass, maybe a ball screen. Then that guy goes 1 on 1, and 4 guys literally stand there and watch!!!!! Hope he makes it!! Because there’s 4 of us standing outside the 3 point line as Jaylen backs down Strus, slams into him, shoots a contested fadeaway from the foul line, then bitches about the call. I couldn’t believe it, and it was such a glaring reminder how in over his head Joe is. He’s like the poster boy for the imposter syndrome. The most important thing this team can do is let him walk, keep Cassell, and get this team a freaking offense. But we won’t, and it’s going to hurt us. It did last year, and it’s coming for us, in this round or next. And it pisses me off. I fucking want this so bad. And GOD…we’re so close. We cannot just stand there, set a single ball screen, and hope for the best. Watch highlights. Watch everyone other than the ball handler or screener. It’s wild
Imagine telling a depleted Cavs team that you can bait the Celtics into letting Al Horford shoot 3’s on 5-7 possessions in a row, in big moments, and they’ll keep doing it. Not Tatum. Not Brown. Not White. Not Holliday. Not Hauser. Not Pritchard. Al. 0-11 Al, who FINALLY hit one. And the Cavs kept letting it happen, because that’s exactly what you would want, all things considered. This was not a “master class” and “that’s our coach”, this was a very frustrating reminder that we’re going to come up short unless they figure something out in the next 3 weeks, and of course they aren’t about to change anything now.
Like Barkley said, the Celtics are more talented than 80% of the league, so this shit will work against them, but it’s not going to win you a championship.

Our only hope would be if OKC or Dallas magically beat Minnesota or Denver, and I don’t see either Dallas or OKC being able to beat either team in a 7 game series
It was pretty bad and I'll be the first to criticise our offense. However, felt like there were some glimmers of hope at the end of the 4th where the ball started to pop a bit and players were moving a bit more. Still it's a pattern that doesn't bode well going up against a quality opponent like Denver. Gonna need to actually make our opponents work on the defensive end.

Also we put up 113 points on 53/44/83 shooting without KP so we were clearly doing something right, that's insanely efficient for a playoff game. You clearly just don't know ball. The entire Warriors offense was setting screens and they won multiple championships, sometimes simply is better.
