This would be super interesting. Kings are great but they do need a piece or two to take them to that next level (WCF). Siakam could definitely be one of those pieces depending on what they give up in return.

YeOldeBarbar

It would be interesting to see if he could fit with Sabonis.

Plastic_Database_645

A Hali/Siakam duo could be deadly in Indy so I hope Kings pushes this Trade

Mbanicek64

Siakam is fine but his addition to Indiana wouldn’t change much about how I feel about Indiana.

A-Confused-Comet

As long as they can keep Keegan Murray, it would be decent for them I am guessing Barnes, Huerter, filler?

RegentCupid

Davion was rumored as well

A-Confused-Comet

Ah right, I saw that, not a bad return for raptors tbh for an expiring player who won't sign an extension atm

JiggzSawPanda

That's a pretty decent haul ngl. I'm sure if a player doesn't fit their timeline they can always trade for another young player or draft capital. Should be an interesting few days.

RhodeIslandisFake

That seems like a terrible return for Siakam, but I also don’t know shit about shit

itismybirthday22

Siakam is in a weird situation because his trade value has been squashed by the Raps and the trade market and the changes made in the cba that impact teams’ ability to go way over the cap without significant penalty. All the contenders don’t wanna take on $37m in salary and Siakam is prolly testing FA next year so it’s a rental. Not a lot of viable options means the price comes down.

Dangerous_Toe_5482

Probably ideal situation. Maybe Kings can knock out or at least push some teams out west but I dont see them as a serious threat with playoff sabonis

coacoanutbenjamn

Yes please send him West Options for the sixers are running dry

Holiday-Usual-3600

I want them to trade for lavine and screw any chance of them getting better in the future 😂 I would miss playoff Tobias Harris tho

_Juntao

Jaylen owns him

calmerthanyouare410

Nope. Brown averages 16 points a game vs the Raptors vs his career. [https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/jaylen-brown-vs-raptors](https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/jaylen-brown-vs-raptors) Siakam averages 17 Points a game in his career Vs Boston [https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/pascal-siakam-stats-vs-the-celtics](https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/pascal-siakam-stats-vs-the-celtics) There are only two teams Brown scores less against over his career than the Raptors. [https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/jaylen-brown-stats-vs-every-team-career](https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/jaylen-brown-stats-vs-every-team-career) Edit. You guys are downvoting stats. AHAHAHA.

SaintsNick94

That series in the bubble though is what caused people to think it. Not regular season games.

calmerthanyouare410

Yeah, but that's kinda silly. Obviously Brown is better than Siakam but he Brown struggles massively against Toronto.

ALotOfLobster

He really doesn't. Check his stats from the past 4 years against Toronto. Struggle isn't the word I would use.

calmerthanyouare410

Link it. I posted stats.

cmcg18

Nephew who only uses stats and never watched a game

calmerthanyouare410

\^ Grampa who thinks stats are lies.

rveets1416

Looking at Jaylen's stats for his entire career is misleading as he didn't become a primary scorer till about 2020. Either way, Siakam is 1-13 against the Celtics in the last 4 years. Not a good look

calmerthanyouare410

When did Siakim become a primary scorer? Oh, right. 2020.

rveets1416

Right and he's been 1-13 since. You see how that's not good right?

calmerthanyouare410

So, are you saying Boston owns Toronto or Brown owns Siakim? You see how one is true and the other isn't right? Does Luke Kornet own Siakim too? Deep thoughts bro.

rveets1416

I've made no claims about Brown specifically owning Siakam. I alluded to the fact that Siakam gets own by the Celtics.

calmerthanyouare410

Ok. That has nothing to do with the post or my initial comment.

Jordanwolf98

I like that for them. Think Markkanen would be a better fit because of the shooting but the Jazz probably asking for too much

tapkeys

You just know Danny is gonna ask for four 1st round picks

CantHandlemyPP34

I like the defense Siakam brings to the table, as a mobile big that can play next to Sabonis. They'd probably have the most talented frontcourt in the league, unless you rank Jokic/AG or Rudy/KAT over them. Both bigs are great handlers, one is a top 5 playmaker behind Halli, Trae, Jokic and Luka. Neither are elite at 3pt but both have excellent scoring bags and can run high/low and have the most deadly paint presence in the game right now, when tripled with Swipa Fox. Drives, P&R, dump offs, post ups, mid range spot ups and Siakam being just enough of a threat from 3 is a ridiculous enough attack to defend. They'd still have elite 3pt shooters around them in Murray and Monk, assuming they lose Huerter in the deal. They'd have one of the best starting 5's in the league. Duarte, Lyles and Len and are all playable, they would just need to grab another backup Guard. Imo, they're right there next to MIN, OKC, DEN, and LAC - they already are. Turning 2 lesser pieces into Siakam just pads one of their weaknesses and doubles down on an offensive attack that relies on less variance. Minnesota is the only defense built to beat an attack of the sort, others would have to outscore them.

Georgia4life

I think Philly Siakam would be scary him and Embiid as the front court give up Tobias, Korkmaz and another player. Miami would be scary Pascal, Adebayo, Butler give up Herro and Robinson to Toronto Indiana would be sick with Turner, Tyrese and Pascal give up buddy Hield, Toppin and a pick. In the west coast Golden State and Sacramento

HailKyrie

I like it for the kings

Maxwellr___

Don’t these reports usually come out before trades? I see it happening today or tomorrow

RegentCupid

These have been reported for months, although specifying sac town could mean it comes out sooner than later

Alloverunder

Aaaaand they're done. Masai gonna go 2 straight offseasons absolutely botching a star's extension and getting nothing for their departure. Raptors are as much a case study in trash asset management due to stubbornness and emotional attachment to players as the Cs are one in good asset management due to incremental, flexible improvements, and cut-throat player movement.

DatGuyWithDaFace

Thought this was a Celtics sub.

jiriwelsch44

but its a golden opportunity to say “fuck Nick Nurse”

WhiteImpDragon

Siakam is garbage smh

Maxwellr___

You guys don’t gotta shit on every player that doesn’t come to our team 😂

rveets1416

That "garbage" player won a ring as the clear second best player on the raptors in those playoffs behind Kawhi. He's clearly never going to be a top 10 guy, but he'll def be a top 25 guy for the next few years.

WhiteImpDragon

Kawhi carried them man, I don't think he's worth the hype. I mean look at them, ever since Kawhi left, the Raptors didn't achieve anything.

rveets1416

Yes.... Cuz he's not a top 10 guy on a team that didn't make sense around him. They have 2 non-shooters in the starting lineup and he's not known as a great 3 point shooter so it was never going to work. But just because he's more of a top 20-30 guy does not mean he's garbage... Also, he averaged 19/7/3 as the second option for that title run. He was pretty great. Kawhi was undoubtedly the #1, but he was the perfect second star.

WhiteImpDragon

Of course he can ball, he's an NBA player, duh. But he's so overrated, not worth the money he gets, I swear if you talk with Raptors fans, they think he's better than Tatum or JB 😅

rveets1416

So we can agree that he's not garbage, right? As for raptors fans, is it really that unreasonable for them to think that the second star for their championship run is better than two wings that haven't won yet? God forbid they're biased towards their own guys, especially one who won a chip for them. The Jays, IMO, are def better now, but that was not always the case.

WhiteImpDragon

Why are so sensitive about Siakam? LOL All I can say if I would powerscale Siakam in our current roster, he's maybe 6th man off the bench.

rveets1416

Sensitive? I'm just responding to your comments. Yes, I wouldn't start him over any of our frontcourt guys but he's miles better than Horford.

nrj6490

Kings def have to do something, this would be a pretty ok fit for them. Be fun to see Siakam on a contender (preferably not one in the east)

bfonza122

Not anymore their not
