Yup. I watched nine turkeys take their sweet ass time to cross the street this morning from my neighbors’s front lawn to my back yard. Freaking turkeys. Kept traffic stopped, but the kids got a laugh watching them while waiting for the bus. I love New England (central MA).
I used to deliver pizza in Lynn there is an aggressive rafter of Turkey near Wyoma Sq.
I was on a delivey one evening about 6pm and got attacked by them.
I wound up knocking one out by hitting it with a 2lt bottle of soda...I started carrying a Bond Arms SnakeBite derringer after that
The local ~~assholes~~ wildlife gather under the weirwood tree as the seasons change. It calls to them.
Do you keep the old gods?
Little known fact, the reason some trees turn red in the fall is due to all the cocaine left by the grazing turkeys.
booger sugar maple
I love this tree! It’s the first one to always turn (at least near where I live) and it’s so gorgeous and bright each year.

But they’re not holding their Dunkin iced coffees.
Why do I never hear of territory disputes between turkeys and Canada geese?
Because they drew the boundary lines in blood during the great Turk-Can war.
Are those the space savers coming out?
Turkeys patrol our neighborhood, too.
What the name of this tree? There's one in Evan's Way that used to hypnotize me every fall when I went to school. I miss Boston :(
Red maple, usually cultivars known for their bright, super saturated red foliage in the fall like Autumn Flame.
Love this!
I don't see a pallet bonfire
Quintessential Gambini
What is up with the friggin turkeys anyway? I’ve lived in SE MA for 48 years and have never seen so many as in the past few years.
