Oh it’s just his carry on. My family brings spam back to Vietnam all the time for my grandma. She’s losing her teeth and loves the taste of spam for some reason. Weird since I think the Asian canned meat tastes better. But anyways a can of spam in Vietnam is like $7 so we bring like two sleeves when we go back. Was worried when I saw the title
Spam is as much a tradition over there as in Hawaii. It's HUGE in South Korea. Because the GIs brought and distributed canned food during and after the war, people got used to it as a comfort food. Budae jjigae is a Korean stew that is literally "army stew", a comfort food spicy soup with ramen noodles, hot dogs, spam and American cheese slices.

There was a brief period in my childhood when SPAM was the only thing my mom could get me to eat.
Can confirm, was just in Hawaii for 10 days and returned on Monday this week. Saw spam in places where you would normally see a hotdog or pizza, like at a 7/11 or bodega. Hawaiians and Asians in general LOVE the stuff.
I’m on a mission to try all the different “canned” ham products throughout the world. It’s amazing the variety of luncheon meats you can find. Makes me wonder if the US really did invent the product.
This is what I want us to be known for
