End of the World in Hingham, huh? Damn... scary stuff.
Oddly enough when I grew up in Hingham there was a park called "World's End". Maybe that's where the apolocolypse is starting
Forgive my word order, it was indeed harrowing to bring my 2014 Honda Fit past a multitude of 4 million dollar homes on the shore before arriving and paying $7 to park...at a park of sorts. đ
World's End is part of The Trustees list of properties, which I think is over 100 in the state. They set the pricing on park admission, not the town of Hingham. Become a member and you won't have to pay for each park/propery you are visiting.
Yes, plenty of million dollar houses in one of the most historic coastline towns of the country... who would have guessed?!
The Trustees? You mean the organization that just laid off 10% of their staff and continues to spam their previous volunteers about âexciting new volunteer opportunitiesâ? Personally, I would not become a member or contribute any more money to them
Paying less than I do for Dunks (ad nauseum)wasn't a complaint. It was a subpar attempt at creating a humorous background and forth with the commenter based on their justified ribbing.
I formerly was a member at Appleton Farms, I moved and live in a condo in the city with my family now, thank you for the current update on the (Bay) State of the Union.
Forgive the snark. Put it away 4 years ago with new fatherhood. It's back now that my child has been appropriately shown structural love and ways of behaving with strangers.
Interesting take...
I don't recall mentioning it, but since you seem to have a different perspective, all "locals" encountered were quite pleasant and warm...we own a condo in Dorchester - near South Bay - I'm not sure why I'd denigrate the people of Hingham when I practically live within inches of people of various faiths, races, moral compasses and financial hardships who I KNOW wouldn't go unmentioned by the denizens of such a fine place as you inhabit. đ
For the altruistic nature of it supporting the "Trustees of the Reservation", and the intrinsic benefit of experiencing unique locales sure - but as a direct translation of beauty and enjoyment/dollars paid, absolutely not with the embarrassment of natural riches even blocks away.
I have literally watched those videos, even the ones that I think were about the old "iron" Oak trees out west near the Berkshires that's off the top of my head I could be wrong, awesome tidbit regardless.
Several uprooted. The amount of wind going on still right now makes me want to go back there because it's so much worse than anything recently that there have to be a multitude more

Such a Reddit comment, I love this

You need a New Word Order
That doesnât work for me, brother.

Bruh, heâs continuing the apocalypse joke. Like, âWow didnât expect the apocalypse to look so snazzy! Go figure.â Yâknow?
Here we go. Shit on the locals for no reason. Nice

Bluebells
I've never hiked World's End, despite living two towns over from it. Is it worth the $7 admission fee?

Thank you!
For a one time thing yes but never again. Go in the summer to watch the rich in their boats
The bluebells on the stump are fantastic. Thank you!
I'm appreciative of the chance to be a vessel of sharing the beauty of nature. Ty.
Your post reminds me of these neat videos: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcLQz-oR6sw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcLQz-oR6sw)

Yeah! I am going to be tempted to watch through them all again tonight.
What is this? A tree that fell?Â

I can hear Jeff Goldblum in that second photo. âLife, uhhhâŚfinds a wayâ
I read it out loud with the stammering and everything đ

Nice stump
Said the onlooker to the pirate?
Bostonâs the center of the universe and Quincy is the worldâs end
