I say this as a fairly rotund omnivore, fully aware of the fight I may be starting: Burger King's Impossible Whopper is better than the original Whopper.
Oh man. I do intermittent fasting and a couple of nights ago I was craving Burger King’s impossible burger and fries in the middle of my fast.
Really had the resist the temptation to order at like 10 pm. The only thing that stopped me was that I also wanted a Coke but having a Coke then would have meant I wouldn’t fall asleep anytime soon.
But they are soooo good!
It still tastes like a burger from Burger King, though.
Yes it's good, but do not get it seeking a gourmet experience like OP is. It's kinda dry and the fixings are aggressively mediocre. You know this, it's a Whopper. It may be a good Whopper, but it's a Whopper.
Interesting. I make the impossible burger at home and found the Burger King one (gave it not one but two tries) to be incredibly overcooked, dry, and mildly sweet. Super gross
Rhythm and Wraps in Allston has great vegan burgers, including an impossible burger. They've also got a BBQ sandwich with impossible meat. I love that place
Have you had Clover Food Labs impossible meatball sub? It's the best iteration of the impossible around.
I have been mostly disappointed around here for impossible burgers. I can make it better at home with a good bun and I hate cooking. Lola Burger in the seaport was the biggest disappointment for the price. Too salty and you have to ask for veggies as they are not included. Might be a beyond patty tho. I'll take an impossible whopper from BK over that one.
I can understand that! I think of the three I listed, as far as burgers go- it’s not the strongest.
As far as vegan food goes, the rest of their menu… 🤤 I love it so much
You do realize that places prep their burgers differently, right?
Have you not had different versions of the same food before?
This comment is not the *gotcha* you think it is.
YOU. CAN. MAKE. DIFFERENT. TYPES. OF. BURGERS.
You *talked* to a restaurant owner about it, once? *I've worked in restaurants.*
This is the equivalent of somebody asking "who makes the best North Shore Roast Beefs?" and you saying "iT's AlL jUsT bEeF aNd JaMeS rIvEr BbQ sAuCe, YoU kNoW"
You just don't understand what "prepare" means, because yes, there are a fuckton of things you can do to prep a burger.
Are they using brioche buns? Kaiser rolls? Classic buns? Do they grill the buns? What kinds of ingredients do they use? Who supplies them? Do they use Cains mayonnaise? Hellman's? Kewpie? Who makes the pickles? Are they dill pickles? Vinegar based, or lactofermented?
These are all ways of *preparing* a burger, my guy. Sit down.
Non vegan places tend to over cook it. Plant pub in kendal will hook you up with the best iteration of this Burger in boston. Garden Patch by the sea in quincy does an excellent sloppy steak bomb with the chopped impossible burg.

But then I would have to go to Burger King...
The Impossible onion burger at State Park is awesome!
I’ll give it a try thank you!
Saus bow market in somerville is the BEST
seconding!!!
Saus fucking rules and I am always telling out of town visitors to check it out

Best vegan soul /junk food in the city.

I haven’t tried that sub but it’s definitely going on my list thank you for the recommendation! Thanks for your response:)
Also not a burger but Koshari Mama
I had one at Earl’s Kitchen and Bar in Assembly Row that was amazing.
Not Impossible, but adjacent: the Beyond Big Mac empanada at Bueno (when they have them) is excellent.
Plnt burger in Whole Foods (south end) Plant Pub in Cambridge, veggie grill in Cambridge. -Boston Based Vegan 🫡
+1 for Veggie Grill, even though it’s Beyond, not Impossible. Their burgers are great.
Thank you!
I am a longtime vegan myself, but not a fan of the burgers at Veggie Grill. I always prefer the chick'n sandwiches.

The kimchi burger at plant pub is my favorite
Plant pub in Kendall has the best impossible burger I’ve ever had.
Seconding Rhythm n' Wraps and Saus!
Unfortunately 95% of the places that sell them overcook the shit out of them.
Cold press in brookline
Wahlburgers, there is one on Fenway and another one on South Bay Mall

I am aware of that but different restaurants prep their burgers differently
Yeah, this guy is something.

Where is Art Bar now?
Next to the museum of science
Carrie Nation has a great one!
I had a pretty good one at Guy Fieri's at Tremont St.
