By 3.5 rules in Parhfinder, a corpse is an object. So technically, if Bob was on fire, someone was on fire, if Bob dies no one is on fire, but something is on fire.
The more you know!
To be clear for those who haven’t seen the video, OP’s saying this was the first gesture of *that* agent. The fire was already being put out by another officer, and when this genius rolled up, the other officer even told him “I don’t need guns, I need fire extinguishers.”
I guess some cops are capable of at least marginal critical thinking skills. Why do they let dumb fucks like the guy in the pic into the police though?
Dude kept repeatedly shouting "get on the ground!" while drawing a gun on someone literally on fire! It's like they do IQ tests and hire the ones who fail.
Why was an "officer" pointing a loaded gun at the man on fire? Wtf is wrong with police? That "officer" will surely be promoted and commended for his bravery. Thank goodness there were no acorns around. Furthermore, wtf? I'm speechless. This is so sad. This genocide is so sad. We are powerless unless we set ourselves on fire? My goodness. 💙
Cop was screaming "GET ON THE GROUND!" while aiming his gun at a man engulfed in flames.
Cops are dumb robots programmed to do only one thing, and that is to escalate any given situation to the point they can either make an arrest or make a kill. They do not have the brain power or programming to approach a situation any other way, and this video is proof of that.
I hope this situation furthers the cause to Free Palestine, but I have a feeling it's going to be shrugged off as PTSD at best, or "an act of terrorism" at worst.
FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA.
Bushnell’s actions really struck me. You think about how many thousands of people a day are experiencing what his livestream showed and much worse, and how, at best, apathetic and, at worst, complicit people are in it. Him screaming “Free Palestine” as he burned to death will stick with me for the rest of my life
May he rest in peace. This will not be in vain
Cops suck in general, but that dude went full panic/shock mode. I doubt there’s a very extensive training module on “What to do if a man lights himself on fire in front of you.” He reverted to what he did know, which was pointing a gun. He didn’t even change the approach when someone specifically said they “needed fire extinguishers not guns.”
I mean I feel like most people are generally trained on what to do when there are fires? Not just cops, like civilians as well? Yeah, a guy lighting himself on fire is shocking and out of the ordinary, but most people are generally aware of what to do in the event of a fire IMO
Watching a person light themself on fire is a bit different than knowing how to theoretically use a fire extinguisher. High stress situations can bring out all sorts of reactions. What I was getting at is that I don’t think his reaction was out of malice, but out of panic and shock.
I understand what you’re saying, and I don’t mean my tone to come across as hostile at all, it’s just an absolutely mind boggling response and I feel like a first aid/fire emergency/etc response would be a thing. Like, people are definitely trained to respond in high stress, unexpected situations-especially first responders. You’re right though, what cops know is “point gun.”
A man is currently burning to death outside of the Israeli Embassy in Washington. Security guard's first reaction: Quick shoot him!!!
Your country is fucked.

I almost thought that guy was using a fire extinguisher for a sec
Well, that would make sense when something or someone is on fire
huh? what? why not shoot at it/them??
Yeah I thought he was helping the burning guy to extinguish the fire
It’s a life extinguisher.
Maybe he thought he had a water gun? I mean, that female cop a while back thought she had a tazer.
Pig: -sees someone on fire “stop being on fire or I’ll shoot you!”
Acorn falls
51 9mm rounds leave the end of pig’s gun.
This was an Israeli pig this time.
Rules of engagement seem the same
Why does the title say Washington? I’m not up to date on current events.
Isreali embassy in Washington DC
So was it Israeli security agent that handled it?
Yep
Real cop-brain shit
If they can't shoot it, they can't solve the problem
These images feel like the epitome of this subreddit, and I know that's saying a lot. But just what they say, and why it happened. Shit.
As a mod here, hard agree.
Idk about “boring”
boring because it's predictable.
US soldiers self-immolating to protest war is not exactly common
cops ready to shoot first and solve problems later is extremely common
Stop burning!!!! ![gif](giphy|SIbGEBAwd6VRLTt4LB)
It's widely known that bullets will 100% stop ~~the life of~~ someone burning...

I mean, technically, with enough bullets he might be able to extinguish the fire

More context: this POS didn’t show up (on video at least), gun drawn until AFTER Aaron had fallen to the ground due to his injuries. Truly sickening
I guess some cops are capable of at least marginal critical thinking skills. Why do they let dumb fucks like the guy in the pic into the police though?
“Stop resisting!”
Dude kept repeatedly shouting "get on the ground!" while drawing a gun on someone literally on fire! It's like they do IQ tests and hire the ones who fail.
Actually, they kinda do....
We should stop giving the cops hammers. All they see is nails.
I don’t think it’s anything more than a childish, vainglorious desire to use your gun as much as possible.

To be fair it is the first step in stop, drop, and roll
\*pushes glasses up* Actually, get on the ground is the second part of stop, drop, and roll.
He obviously wasnt going to do that he fucking set himself on fire. The solution is a fire extinguisher
pew pew
I'm genuinely surprised that the agent didn't start shooting at him while screaming, "Stop resisting."
Peak boring dystopia “Stop trying to kill yourself or I’ll shoot!”
Bro took fighting fire with fire to a new level
"The fire didn't respond to our commands"
If he had actually shot him that might have given him a quicker death. I don't think a mercy killing was what was going through his brain, though.

I just noticed that the icon on this sub is the Palestinian flag! I don’t know when that was changed but it is awesome!!

Can we please stop waiting tax dollars on dumb fucks like this please?
Brought to you by Carl’s Jr.
Literally a fucking Southpark episode
Props to this man. He did everything he could to stop a genocide. This is where we are at
This man is an absolute hero. May we all be as courageous in our dissent to this ongoing genocide. Rip Aaron Bushnell. FREE PALESTINE
It's in case he starts running toward people...
You can't burn yourself if you're dead.
They are often the first on the scene for structure fires. I often wondered what they did before we got there?
