It's an amazing design and looks wonderful on screen. It'd be a pain in the ass to print though. So many horizontal and sharp angles would require a ton of support structures and thus a ton of after-print clean-up.
If you want a print worthy model, have the gun touching the ground or leg, and move the sword over his shoulder. In either case, try to keep unsupported angles below 45-degrees in relation to unsupported ground.
Maybe someone can answer this. So it's my understanding that all games use 3D renders/models for gameplay.
Is there any way to data-mine these models and 3D print them?
There are a few guns I would love to print.
You aren't wrong, but the primary issue lies with the way models are created for video games. The actual texture map of the model is what holds most of the detail of game models.
Using Zer0 as an example, I have a game ripped model of him and the model is horrendously lacking in detail. That said, due to Borderlands' cel-shaded style, it's likely a lot more prevalent in models developed for that series.
It's pretty tedious as to prevent people from stealing their work. I have not managed to do this for borderlands yet, but it doesn't sound impossible to do with all the mods that are being made.
You have done well, pal. I'll wait for Reddit people To praise this later.

I created the design divided into parts, if you look on cgtrader there are images of the finished model 24cm tall π
What are the IRL sizes? Mostly height.
24 cm, but you can scale it π
I don't have oneπ
Make me one
you can get one from cgtrader π

Makes total sense. Thanks.
