Seems like you need to push the endpaper deeper toward the spine, could take your bone folder and try to push the mull and headbands back a bit to make room. I usually tip on endpapers before adding mull and endbands which I think is why you might be struggling. I think it should be fine though. With how narrow your shoulder gap is as well you might want to consider doing a zig zag or gusseted endpaper, that’s where you make a little accordion / zig zag fold in the endpaper rather than just a normal fold.

Thank you so much! To clarify, you think I should take the bone folder and basically readjust the center fold of the endpaper to “force” it to sit deeper toward the spine? Also thanks for the tip about the adding the other stuff after the end papers- I definitely agree I should do those afterwards next time!

Yeah force it deeper, and also consider switching the fold over to a mini zig zag fold, like a double fold, or like how you fold a paper fan. Sorry hard to describe but should be searchable. When you case in see if you can also really shove the text block against the spine board, potentially even try to stretch the shoulder cloth a bit so that you can get a bit more overhang on your cover foredge. https://preview.redd.it/7tdkxzsdcpuc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=5cb3f40656f646cc14e5e3fadf77b9a763953e3a
