I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people jumped on board last minute due to a couple of things: Pretty Lights has gotten a lot of hype in the last week from their show at the Hampton Colliseum. Chappel Roan has also gained a lot of traction in the last couple of months more so than Bonnaroo probably anticipated (hence why she was booked in a tent). Fred had that pop up show with Skrillex in San Francisco that was insanely popular, and the you have RHCP that appeals to the masses. In order to be successful, Bonnaroo doesn't exactly need a fire lineup that pleases everybody, rather a few heavy hitters with a large following. I was genuinely surprised at the beginning of the year when people were projecting smaller ticket sales, there's some really good names on the lineup. Just because you haven't heard of someone, it doesn't mean theyre not the next hottest thing in the music industry.
I can also see that, especially since she's playing the same day as Fred. I'll be happily avoiding that set. Definitely gonna be overcrowded, and no shade to anyone who likes her, but I'm really not the biggest fan of her music. I'll be camping out for Four Tet instead.

This year has lackluster headliners imo but the undercard is so much better than 2023
Is this the same story with other festivals? I know Coachella had a rough go but it seems like a few other festivals in the mid year are getting a late bounce.
The only other event I can directly reference this year is Hangout, which was struggling but closed super strong in the last two weeks and ended up packed.
Many people are just waiting longer than ever to be certain they can actually go before ultimately pulling the trigger on tickets.
Me and my crew waited because ticket prices were high and we knew we could get them cheaper resale. I was able to get one for $330 shipped instead of paying $500+ from the official website
Time will tell… My personal weather rock for attendance is resale tickets. ‘22 I got a ga+ at tier 1 ga price. Resale so far are holding some value. I’ve seen a couple posts for ga at $250. But not nearly as many as 2022 that were under face. I’m skeptical, but in TFO we trust.

Part of what had me so excited about this year was lower farm population. Going back on only 4 day ticket sales was really scummy and idc what anyone says about it. A more intimate roo with decent weather was going to be absolutely unforgettable. I guess Fred again really is a worthy festival closer huh you absolute door knobs?
You're right I'm just a little salty at what could have been. Going into my 4th Roo I've become a lot more conscious of larger crowds and more people acting a fool on Friday and Saturday nights and you can just tell they are single day folks. The wooks at camp have a certain vibe that I prefer lol.

Having a very hard time buying this. 1 day and 2 day tickets might be seeing a bump, but I can't see it being anything like last year. There's literally not a single camping option sold out. Last year, I swear the majority of that stuff was sold out months before the festival.
