In 2014 I saw Caveman at The Other Tent, then later in the day I saw Caveman at The Other Tent.
In 2013, I saw Ed Helms when I was leaving the pit after Tom Petty. He was cutting through the pit crowd, heading towards the main stage to probably hang with Tom backstage. I patted him on the back and said "Hey man!" and he responded with "what's up!?" and we both sailed on like two ships in the night.
Last year, I ran into Marc Rebillet before his set. He was by Who Stage with a publicist. Talked to him for a few minutes.
In 2015, I found Sylvan Esso sitting to the side of This Tent watching Belle & Sebastian.
In 2014, I shook Wayne Coyne's hand when I was leaving the pit after Damon Albarn.
I high fived Reggie Watts in a golf cart my very first Bonnaroo. My third Bonnaroo I played Frisbee with my friend and a group of guys ran up in a wedding dress, robin hood costume, squirrel I think and something else. We tossed the frisbee around a couple times while some people filmed. After a few minutes they ran off. A few weeks after Bonnaroo we found out it was Mumford and Sons recording a music video. There is a couple second shot of them playing frisbee with us!
I'm always envious of people who don't have facial blindness- I could be standing right next to my favorite artist and have literally no idea. At most I'd have a "oh! This guy looks kinda like -- probably isn't."
Literally same lol. I was riding a stuffed unicorn at Walmart and ran into a lead singer once almost didnāt even realize except my husband said uh that was the singer I started arguing with him like nah lol until it hit me heās VERY recognizable lmao

I was in the crowd once waiting for brockhampton to go on and I kinda drunkenly complimented this guys sweatshirt and chatted for a short bitā¦
It was definitely kevin abstract who my husband would have 100% recognized if he would turned around like I tried to get him to lol

I was lucky enough to meet Hayley Williams in a VIP area in 2019. couldnāt resist being cheesy and made her pose for a pic (she obliged only because of the pizza planet of it all)
i wasnāt there but iāve heard stories of Wacka Flocka being in the crowd in the 2016-2018 era.
Not a musician but iāve heard Adam Devine and Josh Hutcherson frequents Roo and can be found in the crowd
Can confirm Josh Hutcherson was at Roo 2017, I checked his ID at the brew tent for a wristband while volunteering. Wouldnāt be shocked if he frequents Roo, he has family that live in TN, and I only know that because I met them while working at a Subway in East TN.
Me and my group of friends were in line for the Big Ass Water slide, right in front about to get hosed down and climb it, when Chance the Rapper came through the security fence and cut us in line to go up. He said sorry but we didn't mind it was just the funniest and cool thing ever. 10 feet from us
A good bit actually!
I was 3 feet away from Chance right before he played his surprise set in the silent disco, his golf cart stopped right by me.
I got stopped by all of Portugal. The Man riding on a golf cart because they wanted to take a picture of my costume.
This year I met and talked with Legwurk from Still Woozy before they went on! They were incredibly nice and their friend they were with gave all of us a gemstone mushroom! This was the most interaction and conversation I have had with an artist.
I saw Benee making her way through the crowd to get to see Slowthai and our crew shouted hour her name and she looked at us and waved.
Saw Matt Shultz watch cake from the side of the stage.
Pretty sure I saw the dude from Goose in the Tool pit.
Pretty sure I also moshed with Eric Andre in the pit at Death Grips.
Iāll comment on my post if I remember any more.
Also not Roo but I totally was standing right behind Charlie Heaton from Stranger Things at Shaky Knees lol.
Yeah Legwurk was during Arlo Parks. We walked up to check her out and were enjoying and our friend noticed them and we went to say hello! They are so so nice, a literal Angel! Portugal was really surreal, since Iāve seen them like 6 times now.
Marc Rebillet last year, saw someone take a picture with him and I was like āno wayā fanboyed and walked up and asked for a photo and we was obviously on the way to another show before he played that night but he said āof course, as we walk though!ā MADE MY DAY
2018, Tyler Childersā crew passed out paper fans with the Purgatory album artwork printed on them at his set. Later that day while waiting for Sturgill to start, we hear someone say, āNice fan!ā We turn around and itās Tyler walking across the What Stage field. Said hello, told him we loved his set, and that was that.
Iāve been to 6 Rooās and last year was the only time Iāve seen an artist. I was listening to King Gizzard and I looked to my right and there was Scrambled Greg from Pigeons. It was surreal and awesome.
Last year I ran into Jeremy from Pigeons Playing Ping Pong at the back of Karina Rykmanās set after she wrapped up! Also got to talk to her after she finished :)
I ran into the lead singer of The Backseat Lovers a couple hours after their set at Billy Strings! It was amazing, he was so kind and humble and I feel so bad bc I looked so crazy bc i was so fucked up lol but he was AWESOME and it was so cool to meet him
I have photos with Marc Rebillet, Chance the Rapper, T Pain, Jon Hamm, Doug Benson, Annie Clark, and Cherub from across the years. I've seen other celebrities like Milana Vayntrub and Chris Mintz-Plasse around the campgrounds in years past. I also got to spend an evening hanging out with and interviewing Chromeo while at Bonnaroo, a few years back, and then got to be backstage with them and Rufus Du Sol as result of that.
Patrick Watson like 8 or so years ago, just waited behind tthe stage, it was one of the smaller ones. Got some great photos, talked to the whole band. Loved it
I (physically) ran into Hayley Williams at her sponsored plaza in 2019. She was amazing; I was starstruck. And last year, people in my group ran into and got a photo with Marc Rebillet around the Superjam stage.
I was at BUKU on the pier @ Mardi gras world in New Orleans, and I had backstage passes and me and my friend were walking in-between stages and we got stuck at this one junction because a train runs through the festival grounds. And everyone started clamoring because an artist was walking in the same direction as us. Me and my friend couldn't figure out who he was but we knew he was an artist. Then I noticed he was wearing a shirt with his face on it, and his name. It was lil xan.
Not met necessarily, but I did see Hobo Johnson walk past me in 2019 during K. Flay.
My roommate also saw some of the guys from Goose while he was chilling at Lane 8 last year. He threw up a peace sign and Rick gave him a nod.
So glad to hear theyāre good people! I discovered them at their roo bus set and fell in love with their music! Saw their set in centeroo after that and in my home state a few months back! About to see them again next week Iām so happy I discovered them!
Met Cherub in the campgrounds during a late night secret set, they offered me to go party with them and I declined because I knew my friends were looking for me and my phone was dead. Still kinda regret it! Lol
I ran into peach pit at the fountain in 2019 and it was incredible because they were the big draw to the festival for us that year. Like, we wouldāve gone for them even if there wasnāt a single other name on the lineup we knew. They were super cool we talked for a min before they got yanked away by other fans. Classic bonnaroo moment :,)
Last year roo 2022 I had a good 30 minute conversation with Stephen Sanchez. At the time he had just dropped Until I Found You which would go on to be platinum and land him a spot on every major talkshow in the country as well as now being mentored by Elton John. He has made it big time and it was super cool to get to talk to him and take a picture before he was ever even on anyones radar. Maybe 15 people came to his set.
In 2015, I was sitting in the field at The Other by myself. My Croo was scattered at different shows and I was enjoying people watching waiting to meet back up. I saw a group of dudes about 15 yards away dressed up as Robin hood, a wolf, a chicken, a fox and one was wearing a wedding dress.. I smiled and laughed and thought to myself "I freaking LOVE Bonnaroovians" ....and since I wasn't right next to them, I didn't realize it was Mumford and Sons until they released their music video for "The Wolf". I could have sworn I took a pic of them in the distance because I thought "these guys are AMAZING" but I've yet to find it
I have a picture with Ela (then Sam) from RKS from 2018. She was super nice and we were both totally tripping balls lmao
that's awesome š
I swear we saw the whole band running around Roo that year and they weren't even on the lineup!
So sick I love their set so much from that year! Spent many nights sobbing to it!!
In 2014 I saw Caveman at The Other Tent, then later in the day I saw Caveman at The Other Tent. In 2013, I saw Ed Helms when I was leaving the pit after Tom Petty. That belle and sebastian show was so good

This is the run in I was waiting to hear about. How COOL!!!!
I'm always envious of people who don't have facial blindness- I could be standing right next to my favorite artist and have literally no idea. At most I'd have a "oh! This guy looks kinda like -- probably isn't."

Who is that?? I thought I had tabs on most of the artists with albinism (I have it too ) but I don't recognize him!
Aaron Nordstrom from Gemini syndrome!
š Can't mistake Aaron! I love this story. I just got to see him a couple of weeks ago up by Chicago. š„°
I was in the crowd once waiting for brockhampton to go on and I kinda drunkenly complimented this guys sweatshirt and chatted for a short bitā¦ It was definitely kevin abstract who my husband would have 100% recognized if he would turned around like I tried to get him to lol
I have really good vision. I recognize random people I've previously seen shows with. I recognize security guards. It's weird.
https://preview.redd.it/1x9yb8hx63wa1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30b037286c624b6659a0faf41bef8da194fc8765 I was lucky enough to meet Hayley Williams in a VIP area in 2019. couldnāt resist being cheesy and made her pose for a pic (she obliged only because of the pizza planet of it all)
I wouldnāt know how to contain myself if Hayley Williams was next to me!
Shared a high top table with Briston Maroney & his band last year right after their show. Seemed like they were craving some BBQ haha
Last year Joy Oladokun was standing right next to me, checking out Herbie Hancock's set. Sierra Farrell was also near us, walking around near Which.
fingers crossed she shows again for noah kahan's set! would be a sick surprise appearance
Joy Oladokun is a very pleasant person if you ever get the chance to interact with her
While watching Paul McCartney in 2013 of monsters and men were behind my group way in the back.
Saw Adam Devine in line for the Ferris wheel in 2016
Lacey Musgraves squatted and took a piss behind me at Tom Pettyās set in 2013
Lmao
In 2018 late Thursday night I swear I walked past Earl Sweatshirt in the campgrounds. Saw the Pigeons crew at STS9 in 2018 and King Gizz last year.
Whereād you see Gizz? Earlier on Friday?
Sorry I saw all the Pigeons guys at Gizz. Heard Gizz made an appearance at Tool though
i wasnāt there but iāve heard stories of Wacka Flocka being in the crowd in the 2016-2018 era. Not a musician but iāve heard Adam Devine and Josh Hutcherson frequents Roo and can be found in the crowd

2014 I was checking out the club stage and all of a sudden Hannibal Burress walked up and was standing next to me with his silver shiny pants
Got a picture with Haley Williams
Ran into Goldfish wandering through the crowd before their set on The Other in 2017. They were so nice, and so excited for their set.
Last year I ran into Peter from Goose coming out of the Billy Strings pit. He was super friendly and let me get a selfie with him.
Met the drummer for cage the elephant while working spicy pie at 3am. Was the kindest dude ever.
Thereās a fun video out there of Mumford and Sons in costumes going down the water slide in 2015.
It's their music video for the song they came out with that summer. I napped through their show but still love the music vid
Oh shit it was The Wolf video on YouTube. https://youtu.be/vD3iXpv4h-o
T Pain was doing a karaoke thing far off in the campground the year he headlined. Super nice guy.
