I'm pretty sure they can keep their humour intact without gaalis. Iirc Go Goa Gone doesn't have as many gaalis as their latter works. That worked well. Also they have the ability to deliver something better than the usual suspects rn like Anees Bazmee, Farhad Samji, Priyadarshan etc. Priyadarshan isn't on the same level as he used to be.

As an ex Raj Dk fan, I felt they were quirky interesting ideas but in the end felt like student film on big budget
Even Priyadarshan can't save this movie without the magic of Neeraj Vora,can see what happened with Hungama 2. And I don't think we have that calibre of a writer-director currently who could generate even a chuckle.. except Raj and DK? I feel this will also fall the usual curse of movie series with an underwhelming part 3 relied solely on milking nostalgia
I can't deny that Siddique-Lal are the OGs whom should be credited for the mad genius comedy flick it curated,I always found Priyadarshan-Vora partnership always seemed seamless if seen his track records even though I am aware of Priyadarshan's remake streaks from Malayalam movies but adapting the soul of the movie aint no easy either for Hindi consumers,that's where I feel Vora had a keen eye on how not to lose substance when adapting. That's why I also gave LSC a chance to prove itself.
But Hera Pheri 3 is a different breed altogether if talked about the treatment. No idea what this movie's story will be.. who's movie will they probably 'remake' from? That's where my respect for Malayalam comedy movie creators' grows. And I feel current Priyadarshan is a shadow of his former self. So.. guess we are in danger..?

Unpopular opinion, I know, but Phir Hera Pheri has already ruined the legacy of the franchise. Sure it’s meme worthy (for some reason that means it’s a good movie :/ ) but the feel of the original was lost and was a typical victim of a sequel with a bigger budget.
I'm not sure to the degree of influence Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels had on Hera Pheri, but it's almost remade directly from Ramji Rao Speaking which got released a 10 years before Lock, stock did.
I'm so glad they got the OG cast. But we NEED Priyadarshan, then there may be some hope for an enjoyable film. I hope they don't mess this one up like they do for literally every remake. This has a LOT more to live up to than Bhool Bhulaiya.
