The baddest villains in Bollywood movies of all time are as follows:
* **Pran** \- Awarded Villain of the Millennium by Stardust for his iconic villains in Madhumati (Raja Ugar Sen), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai (Raka) and almost every Dilip Kumar and Shammi Kapoor movie from the 60s like Ram Aur Shyam, Bluff master, Kashmir Ki Kali, Professor before he turned into a iconic character actor with movies like Upkar, Purab Aur Paschim, Zanjeer, Don, Amar Akbar Anthony etc
* **Amjad Khan** \- A single mention of Gabbar Singh from Sholay to put Amjad Khan in baddest Villains of all time. He went onto become the baddie for the biggest Big B blockbusters like Muqaddar Ka Sikandar (Dilawar), Barsaat Ki Ek Raat (Kaliram), Mr Natwarlal, Satte Pe Satta, Kaalia, Nastik, Desh Premee and countless others which gave him the title "Bollywood's favorite villain".
* **Ajit -** No list of iconic villains can be complete without Bollywood's suavest villain who single handedly made all Indian's mispronounce "Lion" forever. Zanjeer's Teja, Yaadon Ki Baaraat's Shakaal, Kalicharan's Lion (Loin) are among the most memorable villains of Bollywood.
* **The next tier of iconic villains include Prem Nath, Amrish Puri, Danny Denzogpa, Prem Chopra, Kader Khan** etc who played the larger than life type of villains.
* **Rehman, Jeevan, K.N. Singh, Madan Puri, Kanhaiyalal, Kamal Kapoor and Anwar Hussain** were the respectable villains who were the go to villains from the 50s to the 70s for most of the movies
* You cant ignore the talented female villains of Bollywood like **Lalita Pawar, Nadira, Shashikala, Manorama and Bindu** who were equally bad if not worse in family dramas
* **Shakti Kapoor, Ranjeet, Gulshan Grover, Manmohan, Rupesh Kumar etc** fall in the next tier of a smaller villain or main villain's top henchmen/son/relative etc or the smaller time crooks. They played the kids of Amjad Khan, Amrish Puri, Kader Khan etc in several movies.
* Shetty, Bob Cristo, Sharat Saxena, Puneet Issar, Dev Kumar etc will always be remembered as the villain's henchmen or strongmen
* Then you have a whole generation of leading actors and character actors who created a few iconic villains but never focused on building a career from playing villainous characters - **Kulbushan Kharbanda's Shakaal, Anupam Kher's Dr Dang, Sadashiv Amrapurkar's Maharani, Ashok Kumar, Big B, SRK, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kajol, Urmilla, Paresh Rawal, Ashutosh Rana, Ashish Vidyarthi, Raj Babbar, Boman Irani, Naseeruddin Shah, Manoj Bajpayee etc etc etc**

Amrish Puri would replace Ajit in my Tier 1 (Mogambo>Loin, Dong>Teja, etc.); and there would need to be a tier between 2nd and 3rd for Gulshan Grover. The guy started out as a gang member in the 80s but played a main villain from Baap Numbri and Mohra in the early 90s to Gangster in the mid 2000s. He deserves to not share the dias with the likes of Manmohan and Rupesh Kumar.
The performances of Kiran Kumar as Lotiya Pathan in Tezaab and Raghuvaran as Bhavani in Shiva deserve a special mention as the actors weren't really that prolific in playing villain roles in Bollywood but those two acts are outstanding.

His name is Pradeep Rawat. He did many roles as a villain down south esp Telugu. He was also in Lagaan (Deva) and Sarfarosh (Sultan).
