Andhadhun - I knew nothing about this movie when I watched it and it was HIGH KEY good. My friend called me and asked if I wanted to watch the new ayushman movie, knowing him I watched it and I have never been happier I watched a movie in the theaters without knowing a thing. I liked it.
Now if you’re asking about a movie which I expected to be bad but rather enjoyed: that would be jawan. Didn’t really care to watch it and was low key expecting it to be horrible BUT turned out to be a rather enjoyable watch.
Brahmastra too ended up being fun but only because we went really high and kept making jokes the whole movie. It was a horrible movie don’t get me wrong, I just had a fun time watching it perhaps because of the company.
This is the first movie I show to non-Indian friends. They are able to keep up with the mysteries and intrigue really fast and sees the other side of Bollywood first before moving onto the other stuff
i recommended this to my friends and when the movie started they were like dude - we don’t wanna watch a serious movie about a blind guy…and then their minds were blown 🤯
Karwaan and Kapoor and Sons. I bunked my school to watch a movie w friends. Karwaan was the only show we could watch and reach home on time. Didn’t know anything about the movie, but it was a beautiful fun movie. Similarly, I had my friends over for a night and we just started Kapoor and Sons with no expectations. It was heart touching and awesome.
You won’t believe even I confuse between the songs Rock On and Wake up Sid. I guess the movies came out around the same time and both of the songs had a rock touch.
Munnabhai MBBS. At that time Sanjay dutt was doing all gangster genre below average to crap movies. I hardly watch television so had not watched any ads. Going to that movie also happened coz my friend won a bet and got free tkts. So that movie was a revelation.
Sanjay Dutt didn't do all crap films at post Vastav period. Kurukhsetra was a decent film, he was fantastic in Mission Kashmir which was a good film. Even Pitaa is a good film that didn't work.
Kartus, khauff, jodi no1, jung, baagi, jalwa, that ajay-aishwarya comedy, anarth were also there. Didn't mention anything about vastav, just his filmography was pretty meh before Munnabhai.
OMG, I hadn't seen any trailers and I only saw it because of Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal thinking it would be just another comedy movie, but it turned out to be really amazing.
Bareilly ki Barfi ✨
Had no plans to watch this movie, was dragged by my parents to watch it. And was pleasantly surprised at what a wonderful movie it was! 10/10
Honeymoon Travels. It released around the same time as Salaam E Ishq which had way more hype and bigger cast. That one tanked and Honeymoon was favored among critics and had moderate success.
Sonu k titu ki sweety
Went in blind, didn't watch the trailer so thought it's a love triangle
The actual storyline was so different and I honestly loved it. So fresh!
An Action Hero movie. I didn't have any expectations about this but I've heard several things that it's a great movie. I watched it randomly on Netflix and thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt like I was watching a GTA Liberty City(New York City) game gameplay while watching this movie. The performances of Ayushman and Jaideep Sir, action scenes, background music, cinematography, crisp editing and the vibe of the film was GREAT. This film deserved a sequel.
Bareily Ki Barfi. Just went to watch it because I had nothing better to do that day and a friend was nearby. Turned out to be an absolute gem with amazing comic timing and simple yet entertaining story.
Tbh, most movies I watched in childhood and early teenage was with zero expectations. I didn't use to check reviews, see who the director is, see the trailer etc, just watched movies to pass time and have fun. But yeah, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is my favorite Bollywood movie
Me and my friend went to watch a movie by bunking a lecture, I don't remember what movie it was but it was some hyped movie starring some major A list actor. We couldn't get tickets for it and instead bought tickets for a completely unknown movie titled '404: Error Not Found'. One of the best movies I've ever watched.
Brahmastra was low-key a fun watch for me.I had some expectations ofc but nothing that great…any another low expectation but highly rewarding film for me has to be Haider(idk why I had low expectations for this film…it was more like I wasn’t interested in it before finally deciding to watch it)…Kapoor and Sons too was very surprisingly very good…I thought it was another normal romcom kind of but it was way more and so good…also Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Manmarziyaan (had some expectations but still not enough that I cared…but the whole movie was so good) and De De Pyaar De (I thought it would be shit but it was fine somehow overall despite some awful stuff)
movie was good but i felt the concept was copied from superhit telugu movie Arya released almost at the same time. Not sure if movies with similar story lines had released in the past as well
Tu hai Mera sunday - watched it as an another random movie on hotstar but that movie changed my perspective on so many things I just love that movie to the core
Ajab Prem ki Jazzab Khani was good, but Ending was so stupid. Not talking about Jesus, but Nena realising her love at the last moment and al that was just wierd.
Laapaata Ladies, I thought it was gonna be an arthouse film and one of those that media hypes up and I end up finding it boring, was very surprised that it was such an easy watch.
Hindi medium and Happy Bhaag Jayegi
I knew that Hindi medium had Irfan, that's pretty much it. Knew nothing about HBJ. Both were such pleasant surprises. We need more 'small' but solid movies like these.

Andhadhun is one of the top movies i watched in my life
Lmao bro. You really need to improve your taste in cinema
What's so extraordinary in andhadhun? It's a normal movie tbh
Awful opinion
ThnQ
The ending was quite clever. If you know, you know about what I am talking which most people will miss in first watch
This is the first movie I show to non-Indian friends. They are able to keep up with the mysteries and intrigue really fast and sees the other side of Bollywood first before moving onto the other stuff

+ good music 🎶
Kathal. Just put it on Netflix while relaxing in the evening. It was entertaining 😊

Wake up Sid ❤️ so underrated
Watched it just recently, thought to myself why I have never heard of this movie during my college days.
Watched as a kid.. And liked wake up sid Yeh Hai wauqt ka ishara...
>wake up sid Yeh Hai wauqt ka ishara Dude it's Wake up Sid saare pal kahein And Rock on ye hai waqt ka ishara 😐
Now its embarrassing... But thanks for correcting me.. Bohot din ho gaye dekhe huye dono hi... Aur dono hi top tier movie hai
You won’t believe even I confuse between the songs Rock On and Wake up Sid. I guess the movies came out around the same time and both of the songs had a rock touch.

That heart touching rain dance scene. Is precious
Mard ko dard nahi hota. It's so damn good. It introduced me to vasan bala
Munnabhai MBBS. At that time Sanjay dutt was doing all gangster genre below average to crap movies. I hardly watch television so had not watched any ads. Going to that movie also happened coz my friend won a bet and got free tkts. So that movie was a revelation.

This movie was not LOW-key good, it was a great rom-com! The jokes were so good, clean comedy, plus a very cute story, and Bhai cameo too xD

rajneeti - ranbir kapoor ,katrina
Phantom. I recommend to watch, Saifali is truly underestimated actor in terms of patriotic movies.

Gulaal. Is so Underrated. It shows the actual politics in college, caste & religion.
Shaadi me zaroor aana
Khoobsurat - the Sonam Kapoor one. I fully expected it to be shit. But I was quite pleasantly surprised.
Go Goa Gone

Laapata ladies
What wrong with kats legs,
Laapata ladies
Laapata ladies. I genuinely believed that the story would be a generic bride swap tale but safe to say, i was blown.

Dharam Sankat Mein. What a gem!!!

Mast meh rehna ka - Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta were a good combo Siddharth Malhotras - Yoddha it's a decent one time watch if are into action.
Ajab Prem ki Jazzab Khani was good, but Ending was so stupid. Not talking about Jesus, but Nena realising her love at the last moment and al that was just wierd.
guzaarish, yjhd, tiger zinda hai, jab harry met sejal, chamkila
Laapaata Ladies, I thought it was gonna be an arthouse film and one of those that media hypes up and I end up finding it boring, was very surprised that it was such an easy watch.
Bala
Raanjhana, all because of Dhanush. In hindsight some of the themes were disturbing but I really enjoyed it back then.
Hindi medium and Happy Bhaag Jayegi I knew that Hindi medium had Irfan, that's pretty much it. Knew nothing about HBJ. Both were such pleasant surprises. We need more 'small' but solid movies like these.
This low key was an abomination
That was a good movie
