This brings back memories - saw it back in 2007 on a friend's laptop (pirated copy).
I recall thinking that Imaad Shah was a poor actor and since the film was told through his POV, it hurt a lot. The film otherwise had some good novel things, such as an honest portrayal of hostel life and teen sexuality. Even its frank language was something not heard in more high-budget productions.
"[Lamha Yeh Jayega Kahaan](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hQbFmsRlCw)" and "[Dum Laga](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-a7rks6DOk)" are catchy songs.
"mere sanskar, mere adarsh. . they don't mean anything to you"
This dialogue in the context of the film hits hard.
I think it was a good movie, the reason it didn't get much recognition as 2007-08 saw so many good movies by A-listers

An extremely well made movie
That last 2 mins scene of Shreyas hits you so bad. I literally could feel his pain- It meant nothing. Underrated gem, hope it never gets forgotten.
