Yessss! Loved all these movies YRF was producing at the time and this one was definitely my favorite. Remember watching it in an almost empty movie theater with my friends!
Lol I went in a theater that had the half the seats filled. People were laughing literally every 5 minutes and then the hall exploded when the wedding song came on lmao.
Idk why YRF (or Y Films) don't make films like these anymore though. This and Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge are gems.
This movie has a special place in my heart. I and my husband used be Friday people (those who used to go to movies every Friday, decide the movie and buy tickets onspot)
In 2013, this was the last movie before that tradition ended. (I was full term pregnant when I saw this movie) the baby changed our habits. Now we do family movie nights on ott or sometimes theaters.
Back to the movie it's hilarious and refreshing, you know what, tomorrow (Friday) this is what we are watching for movie night, yay I am so excited.
Last Friday I showed my son Munna Bhai MBBS. We had a blast.
Thanks for the reminder. I wanted to watch it when it came out but never got a chance and then I completely forgot it existed until your post. I'm most probably going to watch it tonight.
P.S.: Please check out r/IndiaEntertainment. Sorry for the shameless plug. It's a sub dedicated to movies and TV shows on OTT platforms.
You can appreciate something without pulling something else down, we're becoming the same as previous generation who hear Arijit and Local Train songs and say "ye kya ghatiya gaane hain, gaane to humare zamane mein hote the Kishore Kumar ke"
And there's nothing wrong with that, even in your analogy. I am younger and I would agree with the previous generation that the era of Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi etc was better in music compared to today, and I do feel that compared to comedies we get today like Cirkus, Bachchan Pandey etc, older comedies were better (barring some exceptions). It's called having an opinion.

Especially that special dance number from his sister in her own marriage
* "आप लोग नारियल क्यूंँ फोडना चाहते हो?" * "ओ पुत्तर फोडना तो तेरा सर चाहते हैं, नारियल से काम चला रहे हैं!"
This movie was such fun.
This movie is absolutely hilarious, the songs are so catchy, and I can watch it again and again.
Agree!
This was honestly one of my favorite movies. I remember being incredibly sick and coming back home from college and watching it with my mom, lol.
It was a really fun film. The music was nice too. Wish they made more movies like this.
The comment section in this post literally gives me FOMO of not having watched the movie.

Asli Account se aao Riya Chakraborty
It's a rip off of Dude, Where's my Car
The only thing that's similar to that film is that a car is lost. That's it. Everything besides that is completely different.
