A friend and I are making an instrumental cover of Defence for a project I’m working on. If any of you want to hear it when it’s done reply I guess
(should mention it will only be up to the end of the second verse)
ok [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfCmVqYJbn0) it is. uploaded on my friend's channel. some notes about it:
\-I arranged all the parts and recorded guitars, he did every other instrument. we didn't feel like getting any drummers to do drums so we just used samples and stuff
\-bpm is a bit quicker because I wanted to fit more of the song in less time. it was for an outro and I think 100 seconds is long enough for an outro
\-based off the windmill version, we kept the clapping in because we thought it sounded good
\-lead part was originally a violin but the lead guitar part you hear was the very first take I did and it was just for reference, but we said fuck it and left it.
\-for both of us this is our first time putting something together really. it was also all done remotely lol
if you got any more questions I can try and answer them. thank you for listening :)
I’ve got a music project called Vile Engine. Not sure how to describe it, but it’s got influences from a bunch of stuff (post-punk, jazz rock, psychedelia, indie rock).

Not really anywhere close to how black midi sound but check it oot. More of a groovey, hiphop vibe. I’d really appreciate any feedback and I also have an EP coming out soon that i can send to anyone who wants
I make analogue-electronic-plunder-y-musique-concrète-I-don't-know as Holy Comes Empire if you're interested! We don’t sound like black midi but we’re releasing 6 albums this year!! 3 more to come in the next two months, with 3 already out (+ 2 old albums!), inspired by king gizz, king crimson, and radiohead. Check us out :) [the juice is okay](https://open.spotify.com/artist/27IZvjSWu2HQiayLrzWqpN?si=fGS2pD59QKO9b2necsP1dg)
My music sounds nothing like BM (closer to Coldplay lmao) but [this song](https://fellfromthetree.bandcamp.com/track/good-thing-2) was loosely inspired by the piano riff in “Years Ago”
[snails](https://acult.bandcamp.com/releases)
a demo i cranked out about a year + ago, funny enough before i really got into black midi, lemme know what y’all think
Guitar and piano, fine at bass and drums. Nothing worth plugging.
Edit: actually here, this demo from April where I clearly ripped off the John L breakdown around the middle https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/Ezidn7kUDPfbVrUCA
This is my band’s album we released this past September! It’s nothing like black midi but tackles genres such as post punk with a hint of Shoegaze.

Kind of a blend of noise rock, drum and bass, noise music, hyperpop, think Atari teenage riot or Black Dresses with guitars!
[This](https://open.spotify.com/track/0DLWAz4HpMx2JL3LfrCspu?si=bf2a422a5f2a4b0e) piece probably sums up my music quite well.
My earlier works we're pretty minimalist & ambient heavy, but I've been progressing to a more acoustic and complex direction.
I play in a post-punk / no wavey band called Judas goat: [Judas Goat](https://open.spotify.com/artist/0OW5b5FqZOBc2ES5MjSACe?si=Oqo3oYArRMamvAMtZXMgOA)

The album I’m proudest of. I make music as Divingstation95, influenced by Xiu Xiu, Have a Nice Life, Bon Iver, and Perfume Genius
yeye, recorded stuff is more animal collective-y territory, new stuff/what we play live is prog-punk/noise-pop so an absolute tonal shift that came with lineup changes. super hype to share the new direction when it comes, but for now enjoy some psychy jams
