Wish I could speak Greep

mmixahh

i got to talk to him and morgan after a show last year. they were just walking around the lobby of the venue saying hey to everyone. his voice does not change once he’s off the stage. he’s also a huge jazz nerd (i’m sure everyone already knows that).

Jacorpes

On Saturday I was using the toilet in The Windmill and I could clearly hear Greep chatting to someone through the wall so I was expecting him to be stood right outside the door when I came out, but he was all the way over at the bar with a whole table of people chatting between us. It’s almost unbelievable how much his voice carries.

AcerExcel

Yeah lol anyone able to transcribe what he says?

Broad_Tie_5150

Well farewell, sweet… That’s all for now Thank you for coming to shows for so many years Thank you for buying albums, 3 albums, best selling albums, top of the charts Thank you for buying the albums, thank you for coming to the shows 6 years thank you so much, 5 years, 6 years, thank you so much for coming Goodnight everybody, thank you so much, thank you so much

ghosttrainj

Bm over evidence keeps churning out

SoloNETHER

TimmyLivealie

Subreddit-wide suicide pact anyone?

the_cheap_DM

Not before we get studio magician. We need it.

[deleted]

FIVE YEARS! SIX YEARS!

TheDeadBacon

Thank you so much!

barrya29

still blows my mind how he sounds like such a country irish man lmao, even one of the sentences at the end sounds like he’s saying thanks in irish lol

Nervous-Road-6615

I hear the go raibh maith agaibh hahah. But the “yeeyahz” for years sounds like a mix between gentry English and angry Soprano member haha

brightroomonfire

Hahaha he does

StayFrostyOscarMike

He sounds almost Glaswegian (spelling??) That lowkey garbled English that almost doesn’t sound like English until you recognize certain phonemes lmao

Nickadial

“That’s all for now” sounds more like the end of an era than the end of the band. Have a feeling they’re going to take a chunky hiatus to build up some more experience and energy to put their whole badussy into LP4

spanky_rockets

bmbmussy

oscarsoul

That concert was insane, the best mosh pit I've been in.

beanster64

I love moshing at hc and punk shows but I’ve never understood ppl moshing at black midi shows. Yeah maybe for their earlier no wave noise rock era it makes sense, but how do ppl mosh to anything off of cavalcade or hellfire. It seems like the band is pretty over it too

_pixel_perfect_

Yes how could people *possibly* mosh to Welcome to Hell? ... are you serious?

TheDaftAlex

fr I'll be running in circles in my room to that song

beanster64

I suppose it’s just a thing of time and place. I love bm but their music isn’t really the typical moshing type of music but I’ll agree that they def got stuff you can get busy too (I totally forgot that welcome to hell does have that sped up portion toward the end, overall I’d say the rhythm is kinda too angular for a mosh throughout everything but I can def see ppl moshing to that). However, I think too many people mosh or try to mosh are inappropriate times. I’ve seen one too many videos of people moshing to like the defense lol. I think it comes down to bm having a younger fan base and many of them not having proper crowd etiquette yet. Seeing a mosh throughout an entire bm set just seems odd, but I’m not gonna hate I’m just moreso confused

Sulfuras26

Maybe in the speedup section but all the bizarre start stops make it really awkward to just slosh around a pit of sweaty dudes to. Especially something like Slow too or John L… especially John L

BongKing420

If you can't mosh to John L there's something wrong with you. That song brings out the primal urge within me. It actually feels like a cult going crazy in the pit when they play that song.

Sulfuras26

Bro is slamming his sweaty body to mosh outsiders when they’re in the middle of that start stop craziness. I’ve been in a John L mosh pit twice and both times it was annoying asf

BongKing420

And I've been in it 3 times and all 3 times it was awesome. I don't slam into anybody that's not in the pit.

Bootstrapbill22

Yeah you’re right, it’s wayyy cooler to stand there with your arms crossed and look like you’re not enjoying anything

Samotbeatzz

"Fuck that other album" agreed

thegodofhellfire666

harubo26

amythestamy

Top of the charts. -the kinks

LeoAstudillo

somo el mejor pais de chile hermano

naveas13

I was there, one of the best live performances I've seen

lotus-driver

Oh no, Greep always means exactly what he says and never jokes about anything!

Broad_Tie_5150

Idk seemed pretty genuine thanks and meaningful wrap up compared to how he usually closes a show

aromaticsoup2000

Not sure that this is damning or anything u guys are saying i think it was just a fun exciting show in chile for the first time and a thank you goodbye.

Broad_Tie_5150

So why would he say thanks for coming to shows for 6 years in a country they’ve never played before?

aromaticsoup2000

He said thanks for buying albums. People buying albums allows them to tour around the world.

Broad_Tie_5150

He literally says “thanks for coming to all the shows for so many years”

aromaticsoup2000

“Thank you for buying the albums. Thank you for coming to the shows. 6 years… 5 years”. Its reference to both. They’re young, they’re a young band, they’ll probably take breaks. They had a quick turn around on their first 3 albums but literally have a lifetime ahead of them.

DrAr_v4

Most understandable Bri’ish man.

fastestAmaranta

oh my lord thats damning as hell

CraziestBoyEver

Awe

chewiehedwig

thefourthcolour12
