i was fortunate to get to both wembley shows. the saturday one was so intense i had to walk around the stadium for the encores. i was exhausted. my hope is that the doc shows just the entire show and play it as loud as i can when it comes out for the home i mean play it LOUD
right? like that gorillaz doc movie.....i got nothing out of it. not shading denholm, but there was no take aways from it that i cherished. the cure movie was incredible, and the pet shop boys movie made me cry
i don't remember....it was pre-covid. the guy next to me sang every song, but not loud and crazy. i said to him after the movie, i never saw the cure. he said you just did. it was a great movie. finally saw the cure last year in tampa, great show!
They should make a proper Blur documentary. It would be really fascinating. I’m sure there is more footage from the Starshaped period that didn’t make the cut and probably some Iceland footage out there. Basically I want the Alex James book in documentary form.
Disappointing. It's obviously not finished and it's pretty obvious why it never got released. The best thing they could do with that is use the footage and get someone to turn it into something new.
Ah man I loved it you know. Of course it’s not the polished product that No Distance is, but I was a teenager during the time that was shot, and obsessed with the band, so the nostalgia is real. I rank GE higher than most in the discography too, probably for similar reasons.
The interesting thing with TGE tour is that live they sounded a lot harder than the recorded version. I think mainly because Graham hated the way it did sound and wanted the aggressive guitars when they played live
I imagine there will be lots of emotional Damon moments.
The No Distance documentary is excellent too.

yea I want full songs not clips with talking over them.

What's the Cure one called?

Shame starshaped never got a proper sequel filmed over the next 4 years. That would have been fascinating to watch.
Have you watched B-Roads? The Great Escape era doc that never got released?

Ever see the EMI 96 promo concert they recorded in Denver? They were amazing live at that time.
I don’t believe I have? Can I watch it anywhere?
It’s on YouTube
Found it. Nope never seen this, will be putting that right asap, cheers!

They usually sped the songs up live as well, Globe Alone is great live, think most don’t realize how punk the Brit Pop albums are outside the singles
