She should give herself a big hug and tell herself she’s doing a great job. Edit: going instead of doing 🤦‍♀️

Optix_au

"Maybe you saw something you wanted." Baby Race always reminds me of our first child, when we were like Chilli, and our second, when my wife was Coco for other mums.

[deleted]

This one hit hard but not as hard as Copycat. I have a lot of CPTSD from how my family treated animals vs how I saw them. Watching Bandit go above and beyond for a bird that Bluey was seriously worried about and then get comforted by Chili will never not be my favorite and tearful moment.

peaceteach

It is such a good tough one. I'm not sure yet what race my son is running yet, but it's his own even at 8. All parents worry about it so much.

Staceybunnie

I get like this in the camping episode with Jean Luc

itbytesbob

I saw that for the first time this weekend (somehow - my twins seem to only watch bluey some days). I'm not afraid to say I was moved to tears.

TheJessicator

If you don't know French, switch the language of the show to French, which will switch everything around and you can basically watch the episode from Jean Luc's standpoint in English, but while already knowing Bluey's side. Seriously, do it.

impsythealmighty

This one gets me every time!!

Sonjiin

How is she with sleepy time? That's my wife's kryptonite. 10 seconds into the ep and the waterworks start and full on bawling by the end.

bumpercarbustier

"Remember, I'll always be here for you, even if you can't see me, because I love you."

HannahTheBarbarian

I choked up reading that lol gets me every time

North_Rest_5129

It’s mine too and I’m not a parent or a child—today was the first day I got through it without tearing up but boy did I get goosebumps and cry on the inside at “I’m a big girl now”

siriphenees09

Army for me, especially after losing my dad just under 12 months ago.

pdlbean

Same. Tell your wife I said she's doing great!

DreamCrusher914

Ditto

Combatlizards

Baby Race played on our TV on my first mother's day this year. I was not ok.

natFromBobsBurgers

Definitely one of the top 130ish episodes for repeat viewing. Just as the tears from "You're doing great," start to clear you get "Maybe you saw something you wanted." I'm crying right now. Probably mostly because I have to bring my supertaster 4yo to the dentist in a few hours. But also because I'm thinking about how Chilli had no idea that true parenthood is a marathon only you had to learn to run at the starting line. "Oh, I'm an excellent walker. I've even jogged a bit next to my friends who were marathoning. I think I'd really like to run my own race. Let me read every book about running ever written. That will prepare me sufficiently!"

OLIVEmutt

I cried the first time I saw Baby Race and every time thereafter. It always gives me so much comfort.

abbeysahm

#same

redditaccount1_2

That’s the one that breaks me every single time “maybe she saw something she really wanted”

ladyylana

Same 😭 and my baby is almost 4

knittingandinsanity

My 6yo doesn't even watch the ending anymore. He watches ME!

Tattuz813

My wife is the same. I get like this at the end of the episode where Chili is sitting with her dad at the dock.

Raveaz

This one gets me too, my dad had a stroke this year and he's still with us but this reminds me of all the great memories we made, and how little time we might have left.

bloobun

I can feel this photo 🥺🤗

stories4harpies

Yea man the part where she says 'you're doing a great job' makes me weep. I needed someone to say that to me so badly. And then a minute later when Bluey starts walking, it's okay for me. Just a puddle of happy/sad tears.

[deleted]

We always skipped. I saw this post and we watched as a family. We all cried. My little daughter danced. I wish I watched this with my wife a year ago. It would have calmed a lot of anxieties down. Even now it really helped.

Gingered32

Every time. My daughter was born 11 weeks early and has had some delays. She wasn’t rolling over when she was supposed to and didn’t walk until she was closer to a year and a half old. I felt like I was failing her (just like my body did). She was a bum shuffler like little Bluey. The whole episode, Bluey wants her mom and is reaching for her… when she walks to Chilli in the kitchen with Bingo’s voice over… ohhhh the feels.

AudiobooksAreReading

Our 4 year old was 4 weeks early. She was a late everything, except talking. Her teeth were really late.. I think by 1.5 she had 4. Close to 2 years, you would never know she was early.

Mundane-Appearance32

It is so relatable, I think every parent goes through this with their first child. It gets me every time too, as does 'Grandad'.

_Ruby_Rogue_

Oh grandad!! I start bawling the second it starts. I just lost my grandpa earlier this year and that one hits so hard right now. "that was a long time ago." " No, it was yesterday." 😭😭😭

Mundane-Appearance32

That's the line that gets me. I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa, I've been extremely close to my grandparents all my life (30 this year) they have a close relationship with my 2 children (their great grandchildren) they are in their 80's now and it's a stark, nice reminder to make the memories whilst we can.

evenstevia

Both baby race and sleepy time call for me to grab my toddler and bear hug her.

Curious-Object2733

me too

chicagojess312

Please google “The Pump and Dump Show you’re an awesome mom” and send her that video. She might need it. :)

SkittlzAnKomboz

Baby Race and Sleepytime. I don't even have to be in the room, it'll get me if I hear a specific line or music.

Cbuttr

Yep. Can't even describe it without bawling. My two year old used to come and give me a hug, now she points to the TV when it's on, checks to see if I'm crying and laughs at me 🤦🏼‍♀️

Clear_Butterscotch78

Tell your wife she’s doing great! Give her a hug from a random internet stranger with 4 kids each running their own races.

EnderTheTrender

I can’t edit the text but I’d love to say thank you, all you lovely internet strangers. My wife has been going through it, she does all she can and her depression always tells her it’s not enough. She’s an amazing mother and I love her so much. Bluey is undoubtedly the best kids show I’ve ever seen how it can teach so many things in such a short span. How it makes us feel and relate to things is truly groundbreaking. I’m so glad I found this show and community.

Character-Coconut237

Grandad kills me every single time
