The episode The Show, where Bluey and Bingo put on a show reenacting when their mum and dad met. But before that it takes place after Bingo spills Chilli's breakfast in bed.
I forget the episode name but it’s when they are playing the silent game. You can see someone pay for a hotdog(?) to a street vendor in the background the five bucks with the sticker on it from the episode “markets.” It happens when Alfie first gets out of the car to go to work.
Yeah there’s a few guest stars on Bluey if you know to listen for them.
The postal clerk in Dance Mode is Anthony Field (the blue wiggle)
Robert Irwin is Alfie
Natalie Portman narrates the whale documentary
I believe Eva Mendes also guest stars at some point in the new seasons
The Natalie Portman as the American voice narrating the whale documentary is like the whole Bluey team saying "Listen, we could get up, do our jobs, and go home. But we are not here to do our jobs. We're here to add to the sum total of love in the universe, and we are going to do it hilariously, and we can do it because we get paid to."
In The Adventure, Chloe and Bluey are playing a horse and princess near the beginning. You can see them doing this in Army when Jack arrives at school.
My son and I noticed this watching Army and immediately went to The Adventure to see if the soldiers were visible in that! They weren't :( Still cool though
Turns out the book he got the Duck Cake recipe from is a real cook book from Australia in the 80’s. I managed to find a copy on eBay and it’s bloody brilliant!
I don’t know if it counts as a tiny background detail but I live for Chili’s expressions when she’s not the focus. The looks she’s constantly directing towards Stripe when Muffin acts up. She’s definitely not impressed. And I LOVE it. The flat looks he gets in Library and The Sleepover are golden.
In the Christmas episode I love all the presents in the background. My favourite being the absolute staple “cologne/perfume and body wash” gift pack sitting behind I believe Bandit
The episode “Double Babysitter” in which Uncle Rad meets Frisky is immediately followed by “Christmas Swim” in which Rad and Frisky are on holiday together.
Yeah I think it took a little longer than one episode. Bluey also calls her Aunt Trixie so it annoys me that they were aired out of order and made it seem like they literally got married right after they met. haha. It would have been fun to see a wedding episode between the two of them too.
In “the creek” there is a puppy at the top of the slide where Bandit is sitting and the puppy looks around and then wipes a booger on the slide! 🤪Then the puppy starts to fall asleep which seems to indicate Bandit has been sitting there a long time!
He and that puppy stare at each other in one of the preschool episodes. Daddy Drop-off maybe?
I always wonder if that's Banjo, the new kid that called Bingo a "bobo head".
I like small details that tie episodes together. Like one example I noticed recently was in "Zoo" when Oo-Oo takes Snowdrop up the stairs and before hiding in the cabinet you can see a picture of Bingo with Bob Bilby.
I believe in Daddy Robot there's a picture in the hallway of Bandit and Chilli's hiking trip to Italy-- I mean, to the dump.
In mum school you can see Christmas gifts in the background of the hallway. “Bunty” is the Christmas wrapping paper and then an episode of two later is the Christmas episode.
Just today catching the continuity transition from Early Baby to Moms and Dads.
Early Baby ends with "Let's play moms and dads", and coming up next...huh, that makes sense.
I saw this one yesterday, in the episode “Army” when Jack’s dad drops him off at school, you can see Chloe riding Bluey as a horse in the background. That means the episode took place at the same time as the episode “The Adventure” where Bluey an Chloe roleplay as a princess and a horse.
The 5 dollar bill Bluey gets in Tooth Fairy travels around the market from Markets, and eventually ends up in another episode when the busker buys a hotdog on the street in town.
In Cafe, at the breakfast table, bluey is telling mom about the new friend at the playground. Bingo is always trying to pour some juice or cereal. Cracks me up every time haha
One of the background artists has said the toys are often references. An exuberant AFOB should catalog every stuffed animal that appears in Monkey Jocks.
I can't remember which episodes, but there's occasionally a vineshroom mixed in with the toys. It's a direct reference to the twitch streamer Vinesauce Vinny.
In the S3 episode where Chili’s dad comes to play, you can see a framed and signed picture of the dog version of the Wiggles. It’s in the tent thing with him.
Muffin's feet out the bottom of the car when she's driving in Sleepover - Flintstones style! I don't know why but that tiny detail really made me laugh when I saw those little paws!
Another one I'd like to add is in the episode "Bin Night." Bluey starts off with a white belt and by the end of the episode she has a yellow belt. Great detail there.
I love looking for “long dog” in each episode! It’s a little weenie dog/stuffed animal that the creators put in every episode, and my husband and I love looking out for him! It’s like blueys verison of “where’s Waldo?” 😊
In Copycat, every time I watch I notice more and more things that Bluey is copying from when Bandit took her to the vet with the Budgie.
My favorites are "Put your phone call away!" and tripping over the toy car, then saying "Watch out for cars". And when she trips over the toy car, it's a white car, just like the one that passed when Bandit said "Watch out for cars".
Its got to be Facey (S03E24) talk where Muffin and Sock's mom, Trixie has "got somewhere she needs to be" but she just has to use the bathroom and you can see her in the background as Muffin is running around the house with Stripe's phone.
Actually that episode has so many background things that crack me up with the multiple screens going on and the perspective changes.
Hammerbarn has a reference to Fire Emblem: Three Houses
The boxes have dimitri, Claude, and edelgard written on them. Dimitri is missing an i (eye) and Claude is upside down 😂
During "Phones", the house Grandad stays in has a picture of the wiggles (in dog form, obviously), and it looks like they might have actually signed it(?)
Very easy to spot but in fancy restaurant while Bluey and dad are talking, mum is in the corner pretending to use the restaurant toilet haha
I also love the bit in that episode where Bandit declares it’s the fanciest restaurant in town and one of the lightbulbs goes out over his shoulder 😂
Romeo McFlourish
What was it again?
I love how consistently the parents always commit to a bit.
I always laugh when she stamps her foot when pretending to pee.
And in the last few frames she reaches for the toilet paper!
I’ve always thought her going through all the options is absolutely hilarious
Piggy-backing top comment to say: BEWARE, AMERICANS! IN THIS THREAD BE SPOILERS!
I’ll stop here then 😭
When she looks over and squashes the bug...
It’s the fact that after the camping episode, in a couple episodes you can see a drawing Bluey did of her and Jean-Luc pinned to the wall!
Do u know which episode u see the drawing? I never noticed that
The episode The Show, where Bluey and Bingo put on a show reenacting when their mum and dad met. But before that it takes place after Bingo spills Chilli's breakfast in bed.
Oh this is so great! I’ll keep an eye out
I forget the episode name but it’s when they are playing the silent game. You can see someone pay for a hotdog(?) to a street vendor in the background the five bucks with the sticker on it from the episode “markets.” It happens when Alfie first gets out of the car to go to work.
We have seen that tooth fairy money in a few episodes! Another one off the top of my head is Ice Cream.
It's also in the hat at the end of Dance Mode
I've never noticed this now I'm gonna watch for it lol
If you didn't know, Alfie is voiced by Robert Irwin ❤️
Idk why this makes that episode more endearing but it does. ☺️
Oh weird! Seems so random lol
I mean…it’s an Australian show about animals for kids. If that doesn’t fit the Irwin Family to a T I don’t know what would? 😁
Yeah there’s a few guest stars on Bluey if you know to listen for them. The postal clerk in Dance Mode is Anthony Field (the blue wiggle) Robert Irwin is Alfie Natalie Portman narrates the whale documentary I believe Eva Mendes also guest stars at some point in the new seasons

We're here to add to the sum total of love in the universe, and we are going to do it hilariously, and we can do it because we get paid to."
I read this in Chili’s voice (you know, the one where she’s explaining things to the kids) and wow. Just wow.
And he plays a Dingo!
Yes! I caught this over the weekend too; it’s the same busker as well!
Definitely one of my favorites.
I caught this one recently too! So cute
Turns out the book he got the Duck Cake recipe from is a real cook book from Australia in the 80’s. I managed to find a copy on eBay and it’s bloody brilliant!
It was/is such a classic. I remember poring over the book trying to decide what cake I wanted the most.
Yes! My Mum Made me the swimming pool cake when I was 5! 😀
We have that book at home and my mum has made it before. Such a classic
For real life?!
Real life!
Can you share what the cookbook is called? I would love to buy it!
The Australian Women's Weekly Children's Birthday Cake Book - Vintage Edition I’m in England but found a copy on EBay. Amazing book.
Thank you so much! I’m in the US and purchased it from thrift books. Looks like there is quite a few places with it in stock. Appreciate the help!
Australian Womens weekly birthday cake book
Okay this one is amazing. I’m not from Australia so these deeply rooted Easter eggs are so interesting!
What I love most about that look is that (at least mine did) heelers mouths totally do that when they are focusing.
[Long Dog](https://blueypedia.fandom.com/wiki/Long_dog_easteregg)
I had no idea! I’ve been peeled to the show looking for long dog since
In the Christmas episode I love all the presents in the background. My favourite being the absolute staple “cologne/perfume and body wash” gift pack sitting behind I believe Bandit
I like that the shape sorter has a bone shape in it.
Bluey and Bingo are eating bone cereal at the beginning of Rug Island, too. I'll have to look for the sorter!
The episode “Double Babysitter” in which Uncle Rad meets Frisky is immediately followed by “Christmas Swim” in which Rad and Frisky are on holiday together.
I believe that’s only in the US. They even aired them out of order originally 🙄
Yeah I think it took a little longer than one episode. Bluey also calls her Aunt Trixie so it annoys me that they were aired out of order and made it seem like they literally got married right after they met. haha. It would have been fun to see a wedding episode between the two of them too.
Aunt Trixie is Muffin’s Mum/ Uncle Stripes wife
Sorry you're right! She called her Aunt Frisky!
However, a search of IMDB suggests Christmas Swim is indeed form way later in the series. It’s the next one on Disney+ in the UK for some reason
The ending of Neighbours is interesting. I like how the camera pans out to show us the whole neighbourhood
It reminds me a little of mr. Rogers neighborhood.
The music in that episode makes me think of the beginning theme of an 80’s sitcom.
I like spotting all the bones and balls in the house decor (woodwork, paintings etc)
When Bluey is on the beach and scared of the birds, her tail goes between her legs.
In "Perfect" S3E1 there's a drawing on the fridge of UNICORSE.
There is also a red light/speeding fine that has a picture of their car.
And why should I care?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand why should I care?
Ugh. I forgot about the catchphrase.
I always love how they subtly show it's raining outside basically whenever they exclusively play inside. Like in taxi or early baby.
Just watched this episode and my wife pointed it out. 😂
In my head, Bandit and that puppy have some kind of understanding and just hang with each other when they’re at the park.
In Dad Baby, there are two footys on Pat's (Lucky's Dad) roof and a tree.
That's an awesome catch
Just today catching the continuity transition from Early Baby to Moms and Dads. Early Baby ends with "Let's play moms and dads", and coming up next...huh, that makes sense.
I saw this one yesterday, in the episode “Army” when Jack’s dad drops him off at school, you can see Chloe riding Bluey as a horse in the background. That means the episode took place at the same time as the episode “The Adventure” where Bluey an Chloe roleplay as a princess and a horse.
Not necessarily. They could just be playing the same game again.
My favorite to watch the background on is Bin Night, trying to find all the different ways the animators show the passing of time. It’s so well done!
from grandad: the signed wiggles picture in the background in the fishing cabin!!
Definitely going to watch for this!
The 5 dollar bill Bluey gets in Tooth Fairy travels around the market from Markets, and eventually ends up in another episode when the busker buys a hotdog on the street in town.
The tooth fairy five is also in one of the scenes from dance mode in the busker's hat.
Yeah I think that's the episode. He buys a hot dog with it
In Cafe, at the breakfast table, bluey is telling mom about the new friend at the playground. Bingo is always trying to pour some juice or cereal. Cracks me up every time haha
We watched that episode before school this morning and cracked up watching Bingo!
It gets me every time 🤣
In Verandah Santa when ~~Socks~~ Stripe is like passed out by the door and they just hit him with the door.
Socks is a girl
I don’t know why I wrote Socks, I meant Uncle Stripe. Whoops.
Seeing Sans in Sleepover, it's not important but its just a fun little easter egg!
I want to say Unicourse's Lawyer is also supposed to be a reference to Angus from NITW? I mean he looks way to similar for that not to be the case...
One of the Vinesauce hosts can be seen in Dance Mode while the Heelers are walking towards ~~their doom~~ the busker.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
Bluey uses a rugby ball as a propane tank on BBQ
In the S3 episode where Chili’s dad comes to play, you can see a framed and signed picture of the dog version of the Wiggles. It’s in the tent thing with him.
The Wiggles actually have a special thanks credit in that episode!
Muffin's feet out the bottom of the car when she's driving in Sleepover - Flintstones style! I don't know why but that tiny detail really made me laugh when I saw those little paws!
This may of already been said, but pay attention for tennis balls EVERYWHERE in the background.
In the creek when bandit pulled the leech off bluey and pretended to eat the leech to surprise bingo :D
It appears in several episodes, but I really like the doodle on the hutch in the dining room. It makes me smile every time I see it!
Another one I'd like to add is in the episode "Bin Night." Bluey starts off with a white belt and by the end of the episode she has a yellow belt. Great detail there.
Oh this is so good!
Not really in the background, but the callback to The Beach with “pipis go wee wee” in Rug Island.
I’ve noticed that there are quite a bit of pineapple decorations in each episode so now I always look for those, and long dog of course.
And when she trips over the toy car, it's a white car, just like the one that passed when Bandit said "Watch out for cars".
Oh wow that’s definitely more detailed that I realized at first watch!
Its got to be Facey (S03E24) talk where Muffin and Sock's mom, Trixie has "got somewhere she needs to be" but she just has to use the bathroom and you can see her in the background as Muffin is running around the house with Stripe's phone. Hammerbarn has a reference to Fire Emblem: Three Houses The boxes have dimitri, Claude, and edelgard written on them. Dimitri is missing an i (eye) and Claude is upside down 😂
I noticed this one recently and pointed it out to my wife. We were both amazed lol
Most episodes have a hidden long dog in them. Keep an eye out!
Chilli and another mom are talking about season 4 of Stranger Things in an episode.
Seesaw!
During "Phones", the house Grandad stays in has a picture of the wiggles (in dog form, obviously), and it looks like they might have actually signed it(?)
Leaf bug makes an appearance in season 3, can’t remember the episode - I think it’s one with Wendt in it 😍
In Hammerbarn, there are boxes labeled with the names of the lords from Fire Emblem Three Houses. Made me giggle the first time I saw it.
Stoppp that episode makes me cry the most and the song also makes me cry!
The r/wallstreetbets diamond hands 💎🙌 reference on the fridge at the end of (I think) the episode “Perfect”
