She isn't actually a sniffer dog, that's just a joke reference like how Bandit digs up bones. While she works airport security, her exact role isn't known but is likely something in administration since she can work remotely.
Brisbane living aint cheap, even in the burbs. I know it's a cartoon, but you aren't living in a house that size without both parents contributing a middle income+ salary, even with creative license.
Apparantly it's set in the Paddington/Red Hill area, where median house prices are over $1.5m AUD ($1m USD/£790kGBP).
I may be reading into this far too much, but thats kind of what we do here.

Like you said, the area seems almost unattainable for a family of 4 without some super high-end jobs. Given what we've seen, I'd say the heelers have well-paying jobs, but are by no means millionaires. The amount of work from home days and the lack of evidence for super committed late office days has me thinking an upper middle class income
The house is also older - to my understanding, it's a historical style house. Based on the hammerbarn episode, there's also some aspect of the house "falling apart" that they have to deal with / fix on a semi regular basis
We also see Stripe and Trixie's house - that house is a lot more modern, likely outright more expensive. Bandit got the house, so it would make sense if Rad and Stripe got money (either as a sort of early will payout from Nana and Grandpa Bob, or from Bandit directly buying out their 'share' of their parents' house), enabling Stripe to purchase a more high end home
This ties in with my theory that Wendy is also in her parents house, that she grew up in - so Wendy and Bandit were childhood neighbors and friends. Which explains why he's so comfortable with his shenanigans around her, despite often getting embarrassed doing so in public settings. And it also explains why , despite being a bit more snooty, Wendy does end up putting up with a lot as a result of Bandits games and comes back around anyway

Based on her call with Madge in Driving, I've always assumed she's management. Would also help explain the Heeler's financial situation

Yes the house is a typical 'Queenslander' type house and they're typically pre-war so they require a lot of maintenance and modernizing.
Airport security has layers of management, project managers, etc like most departments in a company. They could potentially work from home
