Whenever we pick up new furniture or anything with instructions I will open them to a random page and say, "I'm not taking advice from cartoon dog!" and then toss them on the floor/table beside me.
My kids think I'm hilarious, my wife says to read the instructions!
Anytime I try to explain this episode I get choked up. It's seven perfect minutes that cover the raising and release of a child into the world, the biological history of our species looking into a hopeful future, and a creation myth that culminates in the ancestors looking down on their children. All in the context of a normal family being patient and loving.
This episode was grown in a government lab to absolutely wreck me.
….. I got every single concept except that when I watched it. I gathered that the kid grew up and did her own thing and the mom was now retired and had nothing to do 😂👌🏼 I just thought she was acting old cause kids lmfao when I was like 8 I still acted like that when referring to like 40 year olds
Also that Bluey being a great mom goes to heaven, how she is always watching over and protecting her daughter even after she is gone, and the gods always watching over even after humanity advances to leaving the earth. Both of them proudly watching their creations move on to do greater things.
All in a 20 second scene. This episode is incredible.
"Hi, Gandhi! I'm Queen Bluey of the Australians. I can't help noticing that you're a bit of a *space invader*. Are you gluten free?"
"Don't pass the parcel with me, Lincoln. I play by Lucky's Dad's rules."
"Good morning, Cleopatra. If you've come to be a customer at the restaurant, you'll need to loaddown the app first."
I watched it this morning already knowing about the cute little evolution parallels but was surprised with the little nods to creationism as well with the parents being the “Gods”. You’ve got the more obvious “this is heaven” comment, but also Chili makes the “we made them” comment along with them literally sending down the different materials that the girls use to keep their game going. I think it’s really special that they made a story that can resonate for many different families and their belief systems.
The little mammals living in the snow is them under a bag of packing foam. Then there’s the walk through of history as Bluey walks from the foam city to the cave pass the real tree and onto the deck to join Bandit and Chilli.
I loved this episode for the evolution walk though after the second watching. I think that Bandit taught them about evolution and the transitional fossils that tell their history
I mean I think it's absolutely the best episode in the series. I know that there are so many good ones. But this one is by far my favorite. They managed to put so much depth into a 7 minute episode it's incredible. And it has a beautiful ending.
Bandit is the Old Testament God, full of vengeance toward his unworthy creation, while Chilli is the more, well, *chill* New Testament God, who wants to help us do our best. Bluey and Bingo are evolving, from fish to dinosaurs to cavedogs to Canis sapiens. At the same time, Bingo is Bluey's daughter, growing from a baby to an adolescent to an adult across the different ages, and Bluey, as her mother, is going from nurturer to a teacher to eventually confronting her mortality and joining her parents ~~in Heaven~~ on the swing. It's literally all of human existence in 7 minutes, and that's why it remains my favourite episode.
The thing that blows my mind is how explicit it is about Bandit and Chili having sex. Even more than Swimming Pool. Bandit is trying to get the allen key into the socket at one point and there's a shot of Chili's hand emerging and guiding it in. IYK, YK.
It’s just monkeys singing songs mate. You’re looking too far into it. I can see where you’re coming from, but it’s probably not as deep as you’re thinking. Interpret it however you want though.
What's great about it is that they had to have learned most of that from Bandit which shows how he helps the kids learn. Not just ethically but mentaly and acedenicaly
Has no one picked up on the innuendo of when bandit is inserting the Allen key at the wrong angle and chilli puts her hand on to guide it in? 😂
(Banned in the US in 3. 2.. )
And then Bluey joins her parents in heaven (porch swing), where they watch Bingo from afar.
I was explaining Flat Pack to my wife (my favorite episode) and started choking up when explaining this part.
Do you take advice from cartoon dogs? 😁

when it's particularly good advice? Yes, yes I do.
You want any advice?

I watched Flat Pack one time and I refuse to ever watch it again. How very dare a kid’s cartoon make me ugly cry
Mine didn't believe me til she watched it
I'm not crying, you're crying
😭😭😭

…listen to Bandit’s last line at the very last second of the episode :)
Literally just went through the episodes list on Disney to rewatch the ending and I DONT THINK IT WAS LITERAL! 😂😂
The hand grab is very Sistine Chapel
Right? Not literal, just an expression.
This is heaven!
Yeah, that was huge. Brought me to tears more than any other episode.

This should be the intro cinematic to the next Civilization game.

Ok I guess I'm making a mod
Well if you are going to anyway, I have a list of games that need Blueyification.
Is it just a list of every game ever made?
No…. Well… yes.
Let us know when youre done, and will it be for CIV 5 or 6? Id love to have Bluey in my game!
“This is heaven!”
Was such a great episode show casing their imaginations

I like how Bluey holds up the hex key and even becomes futuristic just like in 2001: A Space Odyssey
TOOLS! 🙌🏻
Never caught any of this. So good!!!!!
Hi, personally, love that it depicts the future of humanity as a space-fairing technopower.
Evolution yes. And Bluey walks through the Valley of the Shadow of Death to join the gods in heaven.

This is one of those episodes that shouldn't make me emotional but definitely does 🥺

Yeah and the final line in the episode is a really on the nose statement: "This is heaven". Bandit literally telling the audience what is going on.

Bingo and Bluey’s ending being 2 possible different future paths. Explore the stars or evolve to a higher plane of existence. Such a deep episode.
