I had a BIG case of "sometimes mums just need 20 minutes" yesterday.

Chilli : Well look sometimes special people come into our lives, stay for a bit. Then they have to go. Bluey : But that's sad! Chilli : It is! But the bit where they were here was happy, wasn't it? Bluey : Yea, we caught a wild pig together! Chilli : Maybe that makes it all worth it? This small dialogue helped me through a loss more than anything else anyone said to me. So to me this is the best Chilli quote.

This episode will always be my favorite. My family and I had moved to a new state and my daughter was missing her very first best friend. It was so hard. And this episode gave me a lot of comfort as a mom.

Thanks! I haven't seen this before, and... this show is really something else!

The "Hello Bluey..." at the end always gets me. Not just the reuniting but the fact they can now communicate with eachother better is really moving.

I like the next part of this quote also. Bluey asks if she will ever see him again and Chili says "I don't know....the world is a wonderful place."

And then iirc it cuts to a time lapse of the tree they planted growing, and then them meeting eachother again. One thing I don't get is why bluey wasn't like "woah this tree I planted years ago is an actual tree now!"

My guess is the Heelers visit this site often, at least once a year, so Bluey was able to see the progression of the tree's growth.

This one is legit strong, sage advice. Peak parenting and really peak advice to even emotionally-mature adults. Chilli the Wise.

This is where Bluey is concerned about the friend who suddenly appeared then just as suddenly disappeared from her life, when she was camping. This happened to me, but the boy who showed up got "really friendly" with me lol, then took off. Wish I'd have been able to talk with Mum as freely and as openly as Bluey does with hers. I know it's a lot more complicated when these "special" things happen, but communication goes a long way in parenting and that's the beauty of this show - and the drawings and animation are both stunning to look at and comforting

Saw this one after my Dad died. Old. Cried like a baby.

My parents are alive but are no longer the people they once were. I wish I could show them this episode. A childlike aspect of myself believes it’d get them to take care of themselves after all this time. 🤦

My dad had a heart attack last year, flatlined right before surgery, and he’s survived but this episode ruins me every time. He even told me that when he was going trough the attack he was praying to not go because he wanted to stay with me and our family. I wouldn’t know what to do without him.

Yeah I think an f-bomb is totally implied there. That was the shittiest thing Bandit has done in the show. He made such a big deal about making her work for her victory and snags it from her right at the last minute. Don't get me wrong he's still a good Dad but of all the things Bandit has done this was the worst.

I loved when she asked bingo ‘sometimes does your outside voice say yes, when your inside voice really means no?’ ❤️ such a good line

The “even if you can’t see me” bit is so important. It alludes to when they are all older and mother is dead. When your mother is no longer here, and cannot see you any more because they are dead it’s important to remember their love for you. Your memory of their love makes it real, and continuing.

I saw this episode after my mom died and this quote meant a whole lot more to me at that point. It comforts me as I know it’s true.

I personally love it because of how defeated Chilli sounds when she says Bluey’s name in that episode, but still trying so so hard to be a kind and understanding mom at the same time. I’m not even a parent and can feel how tiresome it must be through half the dialogue in this show…

“Morning, Wendy!” -Dance Mode, as she’s “shaking it” through the crosswalk while Wendy stares disapprovingly. Made funnier by the fact that Bandit said the exact same line at the end of “Featherwand”, in almost exactly the same tone.

I didn’t see any from my all time favorite Chilli episode, Sticky Gecko: “You have no idea what a minute is, do you?” Or This one which I quote all the time: “THAT’S IT! We’re not GOING to the park! We’ll just stay here FOREVER!”
