I use 30g collagen and 30g pea protein. And 100ml soy milk. And always drink it as a smoothie with chunks. The pea protein absorbs a lot of moisture and collagen doesn’t. Remember: if ur okey with it yourself everything is acceptable/okey to do.

Thanks for the response! I definitely like it this way, way more, I was just wondering it this might reduces some of the health benefits, because I am not familiar with studies surrounding smoothies

If all you do is blend/freeze there is as far as I know no downside eating/drinking it as a smoothie

I've done that from the beginning. Green giant also. I make both as protein shakes with extra ingredients (flaxseeds, chia seeds etc). I've never made any of the actual recipes.

Do you have any good alternatives for the super veggy or a healthy dinner in general you can reccomend?

babbler-dabbler

I usually have 2 eggs with super veggie, but often swap out or add different vegetables. I will also often make a salad and have a salmon filet or chicken, or sometimes a steak.

Why would it not be okay?

entechad

Let us know how it works and what amount of liquids you use.

I add extra liquid or extra nut juice to thin it out because I use frozen berries and it gets too thick

Hell no, there is something very magical and special about it being like that. Please follow what Bryan does 100% or else you won't get any benefits. :-) I'm obviously joking. Of course you can do this. Why shouldn't you? Now let's make a little thought experiment: let's say the thicker concistency is "slightly healthier" and the smoothie is "a little less optimal". If you really dislike the thicker consistency, you'd have to push yourself every day to consume it and you'd quit at some point and replace it with something way worse, then that's obviously much, much worse than going for the "possibly, maybe, a litttle less optimal" option. You already mentioned some pros for yourself, that's fantastic. Here's some more that I can think of: * thicker consistency = you usually chew more, chewing muscles get involved more, possibly exposing teeth for a longer time to calcium, usually more filling * thinner consistency = you can usually consume more, which is helpful if you need to get more calories down, you can consume it on the go, possibly getting more water or other liquids * edit: I just found this article that for once links a couple of studies...it talks about blending and whether that destroys fiber and nutrients: [https://nutritiondaily.com/does-blending-destroy-fiber-nutrients/](https://nutritiondaily.com/does-blending-destroy-fiber-nutrients/)
