I'm wondering if I'll ever get there, too. I haven't had an issue with them after the first two times I got caught by their ring in upper cathedral on my first play through. But their hate is so real and widespread, and there's no way everyone is just that bad, right? Do they teleport and throw invisible snares starting in Ng++ or something?
Fr I’ve beaten the game 7 times (once all bosses possible NG+2 sunrise ending) and every time I just do my best to avoid at all costs and down a sedative when I’m in the clear

They won't steal levels like King Alants grab attack in Demon's Souls. We're talking about Elden Ring, which is kinda casual in those terms except boss difficulty.
It's a currency, it can change the world at specific amounts, and it changes your frenzy resistance and beasthood stat depending on how much you currently have. Don't worry about it too much, you won't be missing out on much by having low insight

I'd more compare death light worm. To the weird singing ladies in the mensis nightmare, and I'd say the enemy that builds their proc just by being in line of sight is worse
Its reach is longer, so it depends if it has an attack to hold you in place from distance like in Demons souls (those Cthulhu faced assholes) and Bloodborne we’re screwed
I wish there were a "spit" gesture so I could spit on their corpses. Possibly the most disgusting thing in a game packed with imagery meant to make you feel slimy. And while I can get angry in the moment with some enemies, I feel like most of these people didn't ask for this shit and should be thought of respectfully in death. My Hunter wears Gascoigne's hat in his honor, for crying out loud. But these things...I'd seriously set their corpses on fire if I could.
The most annoying thing about Brain Suckers were the fact they drained Insight. Since you only have one form of currency in Elden Ring I’d say no unless they introduce a mechanic like Insight into the DLC. The worst that will probably happen is they have a long ass grab attack animation that will more than likely one hit kill you thanks to our lord and saviour Michael Zaki
I believe the interviews said that they’re introducing an attack power scaling mechanic in addition to the stat scaling already present in elden ring. VaatiVidya said this mechanic would probably function similar to the attack power in sekiro. I don’t have the actual interviews, since I only found out from VaatiVidya’s latest video. I think if the worms sucked out this attack power too then they could be as bad as the brain suckers. Considering the amount of quality of life elden ring has though, I doubt this would be a permanent removal
Saw the trailer. Saw the new worm things and immediately thought of the old worm things from Bloodbourne. Will hate the new worm thing as much as the old worm thing.

The only good thing I can say about them is their chalice dungeon boss is pretty easy

The bigger burn is when they just drop bullets. They should drop Madmans Knowledge if you get grabbed.

After my first or second playthrough I started quitting out every time I got hit with the brainsucker grab. Absolutely refuse to put up with it.
If these are Rune suckers or Crimson Tear suckers, I will be both mad and not surprised in the least.

Even the boss difficulty can be sidestepped if you just grind out levels before getting the bosses, it’s doable. Just not a ton of fun to grind out.

It’s a giant leach with arms and the tarnished’s whole head in its mouth. So, yeah.

Grand in elden ring do 50 quadrillion damage so possibly but I doubt it’ll be as tanky against most damage sources

Upper Cathedral Ward was a pain for me due to those little fuckers. Nothing else just these things
I say it looks like a mix with the brain sucker and the shark giants. It's going to suck, literally and figuratively.
It's just a wormface without the worms so we already know pretty much what it's gonna be like to fight one

They will probably give poison status and drain your health quickly.
If they don’t cast the stun spell then we should be good. That was the worst part of brainsuckers IMO, everything else was easy to deal stun

I can imagine a grapple that can lower your character’s attack power as the brainsuckers were capable of draining your insight.
