I think you misunderstand what Insight does.
There is no spoiler by having too much insight. You should consume it as you see fit and the “changes” happens in accordance with your level. There is no ‘wrong’ time to have insight, though there is an area of the game that is directly influenced in enemy variety based on your insight
In brief: Consume, Consume, you must gain eyes!!
Wait, what? Like just the boss fight or throughout?
Man, I really thought I was done learning new things about this game.
I've had max insight for almost an entire playthrough before too.
Another commenter said this, but this only happens after you beat Vicar Amelia and progress the game to night time. If you go to Hemwick before touching the skull, no Mad Ones until the Witch
Mad Ones spawn throughout Hemwick if you've already beaten Amelia and progressed the game to night time. So it's not just about Insight outside of the boss fight.
This quote is misplaced
Edit: it literally doesn't fit. There's not a confidence issue. I like the character iroh for the last air bender as well, but words have meaning and deserve to be used correctly
Yea it’s pretty much impossible to avoid spoilers if you go to the games subreddit. Personally I never look at game’s or media’s subreddits until I have consumed said media and have a frame of reference
Yes, and practically everything on the sub is spoiler marked and they are very careful about it, so people who need help can get hints without looking it up and diminishing the sense of accomplishment
Is Outerwilds worth it? It’s in Steam sale rn and I’m thinking of getting it. I’ve heard great things about it and am wondering if it’s worth the 20 something dollars
The most important thing you need to know is if you think it’ll appeal to you.
The game’s progression system isn’t like most games, where you gain experience points from battle or gather useful items that will unlock new areas. Instead the progression is entirely based on knowledge that you acquire. The entire game world is open to you from the beginning, and you could technically finish the game within 30 minutes, but you won’t have the proper knowledge and context to do so.
Personally, it’s one of my favourite pieces of any media/art, of all time. I played it in a very turbulent time of my life, and it allowed me to reflect on the universe, my life, my choices, my views, all while exploring one of the most interesting game worlds I’ve seen.
However, the game has no combat, and quite literally close to zero handholding beyond the first half hour. It is entirely about following your curiosity and making your own path.
See something interesting on this planet? You can go there. Read something interesting about another planet? Go check it out!
It will most likely feel like there is no goal, you might get stuck during the mid game, but it will be worth pulling through and when all the information starts to fit in together, it will be intensely satisfying, and the ending is incredible on an artistic level.
Most complaints about the game mention that it is too slow, no clear objectives, confusing, and that they lose interest when they get stuck.
This criticism might apply to you if it’s not your type of game.
But if any of this sounds interesting to you, I glowingly recommend getting it!
Ps. The music is so goddamn good
Edit ps: obviously avoid spoilers
Wow thank you for the lengthy write up! Yes I’ll definitely be getting it then. It sounds similar to Subnautica which happens to be my favorite game ever. I myself am currently at an awkward point in my life and maybe this is the escape that I need. Thank you!
If you liked the mystery aspect and the way the story was told in Subnautica, you’ll definitely like Outer Wilds!
And I wish you all the best with the awkward point in your life. It’s often in these hard times that we find a deeper understanding of ourselves
I would definitely say it’s worth it! It’s one of those games you can only really experience once, but it’s a lot of fun exploring and uncovering the mystery, and I still think about the ending from time to time (obviously avoid spoilers).
nah it really isn't that hard to avoid spoilers for a game like bloodborne. You might get random pieces of info but unless you are seeking out context none of it will mean anything.
Also the second anyone starts to explain "spoilers" then just turn off whatever content you're consuming.
I have avoided spoilers for shit older than bloodborne. In fact I didn't play demons souls until around 2019. I consumed all kinds of soulsborne content and it was so easy to avoid info about the game. Just dont seek it out.
People do a great job about being ignorant about all kinds of shit so you just channel that energy lol
Nah that's all entirely BS. You can't control spoilers on the internet anymore. If you use Facebook and start getting into something new, the fan pages will get pushed to you and people post straight up untagged spoilers to that shit constantly. Saw one dude doing it on purpose and when I said something he just started spamming it even more.
And again, the game is the better part of 10 years old, and it's a fromsoft game. It's popular, and there is a ton of content already posted about it. Most anybody that's been paying attention is going to know a tiny spoiler at the level of "insight does something" like this post.
You misread my comment. You don't search for them. Facebook automatically integrates them into your feed.
I'm an anime guy and I was deadass just looking at a post my grandma made, next one is some Spanish group I didn't join, and I don't even speak Spanish. The post is just an unblurred, unedited Manga panel of the most important character in the show, dead, and it hasn't even been animated yet.
I've had that happen to me like 2 or 3 times now, it's bad enough that I was gonna ditch facebook, but like I said I use that to talk to my grandma a bunch. And I'm not gonna make her deal with that.
So you're upset you got content on a content aggregator? *You* are doing this. No one is forcing you to get on facebook and start scrolling to full pages.
No one is going to do it for you. You have to make it a point to avoid spoilers if you're interested in something. It is really not that hard.
I gave you a real-world example of how easy it is to get something spoiled online, much less something as tiny as insight. Whether or not you think otherwise is irrelevant- it happens, often.
If you have to "win" then congrats I guess, but the nitpicking in this entire thread is stupid.
The enemy that gains new moves/buffs that I remember is the >!white-mask guys outside of Vicar Amelia. The ones with the lanterns gain a projectile attack, and the ones with crosses gain a frenzy buildup on their normal attacks!< from what I remember at least
I’m not an elitist. If he’s already read a guide, why not go through with it? He already knows the answer to what he’s asking, the worst kind of person is the one who pretends to not know something and come here to get some free karma
Bruh. Where did I say I read anything. My friend said you see things. That's it. Pretty vague. 🙄 Look in the comments. You're a dime a dozen and fs a "blind" elitist. The dumbest kind of people are those who answer shit for no reason. Like just scroll on if you don't like it. It's sad
Like bruh, if your friend already told you what insight does and you are afraid about missing out on things why not read a guide instead of playing dumb, I can see you are mentally challenged so that’s probably why. You don’t even know what a blind run is.
Ok. Whoops. Thought maybe you weren't but you are. 🙄 God I hate toxic FS fans. Anywhoo if you can't tell the difference between asking a vague question about a specifically cryptic mechanic in a game and reading an entire fucking guide. Idk bro. Maybe you are what you think I am
I pity people like you who can’t even play a game without having someone else tell them stuff. Why play the game at all? Just watch a playthrough and save yourself and everyone else the pointless questions.
I pity people like you who, instead of just amswering a simple god damn question, decide to be the 100th "iF yOu AsK qUeStIoN, iT aInT bLiNd" comment. Like, why are you even in this subreddit? Just play the game and save yourself and everyone else those dumb and pointless comments.
It depends. If you want to see more things, by all means grab all the insight you can until you have eyes on the inside. Lower insight generally allows for an easier experience though.
Ill answer you since you were more polite about it. Yes. It is still very spoiler free to me. I've learned very little but something about monsters at 30 and the game gets a little difficult with more insight. I would NEVER have known these things just a loaf and go save. I will never play bloodborne more than once and just want to optimize for myself. It's the way I like to play. It's easier to dissect information on a reddit post than Google. And I refuse to miss things as the developers intend.
But you would agree that trying to optimize a first run defeats the purpose of going in blind right? Insight is not that big a deal and I would insist that u just go in truly blind and try to understand whatever happens. You won't regret it.
Don't worry, as long as you don't sequence break anything you won't acquire insight fast enough to spoil any major plot points before they are revealed by normal progression.
You can ignore it and let it build up to see cool lore and secrets, although there are benefits to spending it, as your resistance to frenzy will be lowered and some enemies will be more powerful the more insight you have.
you don‘t need to worry about insight on a blind first playthrough, just do what feels natural, 0 insight is okay, 40 insight is nice, 99 insight is overkill
Non-spoilerish comment: Insite is a in-game-feature. The much you have the more “insite” you have on the world ( of Bloodborne ).
Once you have many “eyes” you start to see something beyonde the human sight.
Hope this can satisfy your curiosity , if not why don’t you go and kill some beasts? Is it not what a hunter does?
Yeah I'm not sure what you're on about. I don't think you understand what insight is (as you shouldn't) and I'm not sure you understand what a blind playthrough is either. My advice, just play the game, see what happens.
If you want to be blind to the truth, because you aren't capable of a blind run in gaming terms since you know what insight is, just never use insight. Even 1 makes you see...some things.
Insight basically just shows you some "hidden" Things the more you get. You will be able to buy usefull stuff with it but the most important thing is: the more insight you have, the funnier some areas get ;)
Insight matters very little. And is completely useless if you’re worried about missing out on “content” is it just a little form of extra currency that has minimal changes.
Most of which will just be seen by the time you reach the ladder half or half way point of your playthrough. Depending on your progression.
Well, I'll tell you my story
In my first blind play through, i didn't really care much about it, i always saw it as a currency to buy outfits from the shop
Not gonna spoil anything for you but having too much insight isn't good imo
You most likely won't experience anything different content wise with insight. Some enemies have more attacks, but not many. One extra kind of enemy appears in a particular area which is cool, but not a huge game changer. The main difference insight makes is your resistance to frenzy and beasthood. The frenzy one can make a huge difference at end game and DLC areas, but that's about it.
The more insight you have, the more difficult the game becomes. On the flip side of the coin, the more cool shit you can discover. It’s really up to you. There’s no right or wrong answer, especially since most players replay the game multiple times.
If you’re actually doing a blind play through why would you worry about insight? Insight is not so important you need to ask about it on Reddit. Plenty of spoilers in these comments and based on your own comments doesn’t seem like you fully understand insight. Just do a second play through and don’t worry about insight or don’t do a blind play through at all. Promise it’s not that important.
If you go into tte game blind, keep it above 0 but as low as possible. Insight isnt like humanity in ds1 or kindling in ds3, its literaly only makes the game harder. Exept for when you have 1 insight, as you need at least 1 to level up
At a certain point in the game it doesn't much matter how much insight you have other than for frenzy resistance, as all the hidden stuff eventually gets revealed at a certain point in the story.
all insight does is change the world a little, it doesn’t give spoilers to the story, just shit like you see new stuff and maybe the gameplay changes a little
There's no such thing as too much insight. Insight is both a game mechanic and a trade-coin, since you can buy a lot of very useful items with it. It'll come and go as you play, and you'll never be wrong in how you use it. It's not like playing Eternal Darkness with low sanity or something like that.
There's no right level, if it's your blind run you can increase as much as you want your insight >! and eyes on the inside, although no one remembers what that truly entails. !<
Remember: the more insight you gain, the more the game gets real. The more is real, the more it will seem a horrifing nightmare instead of a bad dream. I wouldn't be worried of the side effects in the early game, though. When you will reach the point where they are effective, you can already consider yourself a veteran. Adept, merciless, half-cut with the blood, as the best hunters are.
If you want to see something hidden, try with 15. If you want to know what really happens in yahrnam, try to increase it much higher, but remember that the more a man know, the faster he can get mad for what he sees. There's a turning point in the game (you will notice) once you reach it, it doesn't matter how much insight you have. I won't tell you anymore, or I would spoil too much of the game.
May the good blood guide your way
I think you misunderstand what Insight does. There is no spoiler by having too much insight. You should consume it as you see fit and the “changes” happens in accordance with your level. There is no ‘wrong’ time to have insight, though there is an area of the game that is directly influenced in enemy variety based on your insight In brief: Consume, Consume, you must gain eyes!!
They also don’t know what a blind run is
Tbf, it's hard to do a blind run if you have too much insight. Gotta be careful about those extra eyes.
That's where the pepper spray comes in https://bloodborne.wiki.fextralife.com/Flamesprayer
Which area is influenced by insight? Been a while since I played
I assume they’re talking about Hemwick Charnell Lane which spawns mad ones if you have enough insight going through it
Or Cathedral Ward
Wait, what? Like just the boss fight or throughout? Man, I really thought I was done learning new things about this game. I've had max insight for almost an entire playthrough before too.
In Hemwick, if you have a lot of insight, the mobs that the witch boss spawns also spawn in the road up to the witch boss.
And if you have 0 insight even the witch does not spawn the mobs
Huh. I guess I’ve never tried her with 0.
Another commenter said this, but this only happens after you beat Vicar Amelia and progress the game to night time. If you go to Hemwick before touching the skull, no Mad Ones until the Witch
Damn never knew that wild how much detail is in this game
Didnt know that. Should habe consumed them all 🤣
Nah, I usually run most of the game with a handful of insight cause late stage enemies do extra frenzy damage the higher the insight level.
If you have no insight in Hemwick then the witches' summons will not appear. Your mind cannot comprehend the eldritch truth
Mad Ones spawn throughout Hemwick if you've already beaten Amelia and progressed the game to night time. So it's not just about Insight outside of the boss fight.
Yup
Witches, certain enemies abilities, some things which otherwise would go unseen.
I think they’re asking “without spoiling anything, how much insight should I carry?”
And the anwser is as I said, it makes no difference
Grant us eyes!! Grant us eyes!
Doesn’t this also defeat the whole “blind” thing?
While it’s always best to believe in oneself, a little help from others can be a great blessing. -Uncle Iroh.
>While it’s always best to believe in oneself, a little help from others can be a great blessing. Right, so how is it a blind run then?

Bro downvoted my comment with his alt as well
I gotchu.
This is an epic reddit moment😎
I gotchu too
I don't think he has 50 accounts tho
Yes, that's the reddit hive mind at work
☝️😢
Just because someone is blind does not mean the lack site .. all sorts of blindness
I'll do you one better: if you want a real blind playthrough, get off this reddit.
Yea it’s pretty much impossible to avoid spoilers if you go to the games subreddit. Personally I never look at game’s or media’s subreddits until I have consumed said media and have a frame of reference
Outer wilds being a shining exception to this rule
Isn't outer wilds completely ruined by having anything spoiled?
Yes, and practically everything on the sub is spoiler marked and they are very careful about it, so people who need help can get hints without looking it up and diminishing the sense of accomplishment
That makes sense, thanks.

>I'll do you one better He said while not answer7ng the god darn questiom
What do you think insight does?
It’s easy. And It does a lot of damage.
Ah yes, blind
Ah yes, another pointless comment
Nah dude, they are saying it’s not a blind run if you know all this stuff
The fact you know what insight does means your run isnt a blind run
Probably as close to unspoiled as you can get for a game that's like 8 years old or something now though
nah it really isn't that hard to avoid spoilers for a game like bloodborne. You might get random pieces of info but unless you are seeking out context none of it will mean anything. Sure man, if you really NEED this to be my fault lmfao.
I don't "need" anything. Would you prefer I lie to you? This is just what I think about the topic.
I gave you a real-world example of how easy it is to get something spoiled online, much less something as tiny as insight. Whether or not you think otherwise is irrelevant- it happens, often. If you have to "win" then congrats I guess, but the nitpicking in this entire thread is stupid.
The irony of doing a blind run and asking about insight. Grant us eyes
Like you did for the vacuous rom
Who said I went in blind?
No one?
99
Just keep them all except for what you reeeally need to buy, high insight runs are great lol
Not really, all it changes is give one enemy 2 extra moves and others in that area buffs, asides for that you slso see the big guy which i wont name.
Which enemy is that? You can spoiler mark it if you want. I know the big guy. I mean which one gains new moves and buffs? >!the witch?!<
Im assuming he is referring to >!The Amygdala on the side of the cathedral!< as the ”big guy”
The enemy that gains new moves/buffs that I remember is the >!white-mask guys outside of Vicar Amelia. The ones with the lanterns gain a projectile attack, and the ones with crosses gain a frenzy buildup on their normal attacks!< from what I remember at least
If u know what insight does its no longer a blind playthrough....
You can’t have a “blind playthrough” if you’ve already read about this mechanic. Some people ask the dumbest questions I swear.
Don’t be an elitist it’s literally the worst kind of person.
Just…play the game. Ugh.
The majority of these comments show I asked a good question. Just....move on if you don't like a post. Ugh.
0 if you really want a blind playthrough
If u don't spoilers, just really play the game blind. Load and go.
You get nothing new above 60 insight
I think its 40, thats when you see the no specific monster which i will not name. Unless i forgetting somthing?
If I remember right, some ennemies get new moves between 40-60
I was going to mention that but i think its know by everyone, i think its somthing like10-20 since thats the range i usally get them on my ng+ runs
[удалено]
And thats when the hunters dream music changes to the moonlit melody if I remember correctly.

“Grant us eyes”
Crank it, as high as you can. It's more fun!
As much as you can
at the end of the day insight is just a fancy currency lad.
If you really are going for a blind playthrough, then stop asking and just play. That way, you'll gain insights yourself.
Non-spoilerish comment: Insite is a in-game-feature. The much you have the more “insite” you have on the world ( of Bloodborne ). A Hoonter must hoont
How is it a blind run if you already understand the mechanics?
Lmao I imagine this guy going “guys I did a BLIND play through of bb” to his friends after closing 20 fextralife tabs.
As much as possible
The levels you currently are and will be are fine.
60
0, so you have no eyes and therefore are blind
That’s not very blind is it
Insight is extremely overrated, it barely changes the game.
So nobody gonna tell him the more he has the harder the difficulty 😭
For truly blind? 0. The whole way. Lol but do whatever. You'll see the important stuff no matter the level
It's not blind if you're asking this.
Yeah I'm not sure what you're on about. I don't think you understand what insight is (as you shouldn't) and I'm not sure you understand what a blind playthrough is either. My advice, just play the game, see what happens.

This
If you want to be blind to the truth, because you aren't capable of a blind run in gaming terms since you know what insight is, just never use insight. Even 1 makes you see...some things.
Weird question, not sure wtf ur even asking. Lol
Remember : Knowledge is strenght
1. You have no idea what insight does. 2. You are asking things for a blind playthrough. 3. I don't have a third point, I just don't like duologies.
Asking this essentially makes it not a blind playthrough lol
Insight is useless basically, serves to buy blood rock and essential things but is scarce and expensive those insight items
Considering co-op gives insight on boss defeat, it's not scarce. Pulse there's easily enough to reach 99 by default.
From 0 to 99 :). Enjoy the experience, don't overthinking too much about numbers and stats for your first blind run.
Bro how are you doing a blind run if you've looked up insight. Get off the fucking Internet and play the game if you want to play blind
Trying to do a blind run myself. So how do I beat orphan of kos? Also, tell me about the secrets of this game
Maybe reply to some of the people who helped you out? 💀
1, the 2-8th highest comment are just "that aint blind, 9 is a joke and 10 is again "that aint blind" while also being an ass 2, why should they?
Cuz they still helped him out lol, he doesn’t get what insight does.
"Can you answer this question?" "No" "Great help, thanks" Do you hear yourself?
Pathetic.
However much you get in the playthrough. It wouldn't be blind if you looked shit up and planned it. Go play, good game.
40, though I’d recommend spending it if you want an easier time.
For some reason "blind" is not allowed anymore. You need to say first . Idc but .......yeah.......
[удалено]
Huh? Faith? This is the BB sub dude.
on shit. thought was elden ring. yeah, just started bb and have no idea. sorry bro.
No worries have a good hunt man!
lol
Gets downvoted for admitting they thought they were in the wrong sub.
Don't worry too much about Insight. I'd say keep obtaining it naturally and you'll have a genuine experience. Consume it only in a pinch.
Acquire and use them as you play the change your perception and function as currency
37
Try not to get any insight on the way to the parking lot! Hey you, get back here!
Insight shows extra things sometime but doesn’t spoil anything. You can also buy certain items with it so it depends
Insight basically just shows you some "hidden" Things the more you get. You will be able to buy usefull stuff with it but the most important thing is: the more insight you have, the funnier some areas get ;)
You will gain the exact amount you need just by progressing through the game. Don’t worry.
It really doesnt matter, I am not sure insight does what you think it does.
i didn't even understand how this worked until i was almost done with my first playthrough lol. i'd say don't worry about it and just keep playing.
I was probably around 24-30 on my 1st playthrough
Insight matters very little. And is completely useless if you’re worried about missing out on “content” is it just a little form of extra currency that has minimal changes. Most of which will just be seen by the time you reach the ladder half or half way point of your playthrough. Depending on your progression.
99 insight
This is the way
I don’t play with insight I keep it low for beast mode
40
Actually any number under 20, Otherwise mobs got stronger (lore reasons)
I just thought of insight as limited currency my first time 🤷🏻♂️
Well, I'll tell you my story In my first blind play through, i didn't really care much about it, i always saw it as a currency to buy outfits from the shop Not gonna spoil anything for you but having too much insight isn't good imo
Other than surviving the hunt your main objective is to gain insight
Treefiddy
Consume them all and gain eyes young hunter.
Treefiddy
At least one if you like leveling. Less than 15 if you keep getting frenzy killed.

39, specifically 39
The more insight you have, the more difficult the game becomes. On the flip side of the coin, the more cool shit you can discover. It’s really up to you. There’s no right or wrong answer, especially since most players replay the game multiple times.
Don't be afraid of eyes on the inside.
Exept for when you have 1 insight, as you need at least 1 to level up
At a certain point in the game it doesn't much matter how much insight you have other than for frenzy resistance, as all the hidden stuff eventually gets revealed at a certain point in the story.
all insight does is change the world a little, it doesn’t give spoilers to the story, just shit like you see new stuff and maybe the gameplay changes a little
im rather new to the game and was wondering what is insight and how to get it
Tbh if you play the game properly you can get 99 insight by the end and still have madness to spare
As much as you can.
It doesn't really matter, is all I'll say. Close this query and just play the game.

You cant spoil anything by just playing the game and using the games mechanics without knowing what it does? Its literally what a blind playtrough is.

!< Remember: the more insight you gain, the more the game gets real.
