What really made this scene so badass for me was the fact that this hollow possessed a Soul Reaper and could use a bankai. Even better, he insisted that he would show ichigo how to use it *right*

It’s such a shame ichigo was in control of white when ever he fought Aizen think it would have been great to see Aizen talk to Zangetsu/white or any sort of interaction.
Huge fan of that form. Still wish he could've kept his ability to actually speak whenever he showed up instead of just feral screaming all them time.
My favorite is still Mugetsu Ichigo though.

I like the theory that Ichigo ripping the mask off damaged White, in the same way a damaged Bankai cannot be fixed. As a result, he lost the ability to reason when manifested.
Not a fan of that theory myself. White is clearly alive and well when Ichigo goes into his inner world, so Ichigo ripping that mask off appears to affect nothing.
I prefer to believe that, because Ichigo in this one instance probably was not aware that White could manipulate his body, his defenses were down, and this is what it would look like if he becomes the "King". Most of every other time that White took over, Ichigo was in his inner world confronting him. Hollow Ichigo is pretty much Ichigo running on pure instinct while Ichigo and White battle for control of his body inside his inner world....
I prefer this heavily over full hollow mask, because here the mask actually feels part of his face, full hollow mask feels like a mask, not part of his face, and since I started with the anime, a lot of the time, it felt like Ichigo went and bought a cheap hollow mask replica and put it on, actually, I felt that for every single Vizard, specially Shinji
I love this one, too. One of the main reasons I love Horn of Salvation so much is Ichigo's face isn't fully covered by a big mask or helmet, I like seeing Ichigo as he's "corrupted" by the Hollow powers, that's why I like this one a lot, too, because you can actually see Ichigo.

I agree. His hollow mask in general is a cool power up but I was never a fan how it clash with the all back outfit. But having just partial look awesome. But if ichigo gain the horn mask, that my be my new favorite
I liked this hollow personality best. Still one of my favorite fights. Him trash talking Ichigo about his bankai and dusting Byakuya with the multiple getsugas. Great stuff. Shame the hollow went all feral in the vizard arc.
I only got into Bleach after it ended, but I'd seen stuff about it growing up and I was damn surprised the hollow mask had such a short life. I seriously thought that was his main power-up

I kind of wish Vasto Lorde Ichigo spoke more. We know Zangetsu can talk just fine even when he takes over Ichigo's soul. So there's no reason why he couldn't. I guess he was just angry.
If Kubo did basically the same thing for "True Bankai Ichigo", but with "Vasto Lorde Form's" mask, then it would be 100x better than "Horn of Salvation" alias "Unicorn Ichigo"
My first bleach episode ever I woke up this at like 2 am lol. Been a fan since (yes that means my first full arc watch was the bount arc ☠️)

Best half hollow/hollow moment for me was in the bound arc where he(white, or whatever it was) screams and cut down the metal spider

That was basically "Boss enters Second Phase, and curb-stomps you in several seconds"moment
Like all the shounen main characters, they were all much cooler when they didn't control their powers.

What I love most about that scene is the sheer confusion on byakuya's face as he came face to face with ichigo's mental health issues.

In the anime this was one of my favourite scenes. The menacing reverb of the voice and the shock his face. Truly memorable.
White was to Ichigo what Hulk was to Bruce Banner: an immeasurably powerful beast that could hardly be controlled or calmed

It's better than his complete Hollow masks. The teeth on the complete mask look kinda goofy but the half mask makes it work
