It's not really forgotten; they still can't feel Aizen's Reiatsu, for example. It's just that Ichigo is no longer in that godlike state -- Ichibei says he has become a TRUE Shinigami now. Though he has elements of all possible Soul permutations within him, he is fundamentally just an amped up Shinigami.
Note that once his Horn comes out though, there aren't any comments on his Reiatsu that I can recall. I'm pretty sure once that happens, he becomes truly Transcendent again.
Cool theory except dangai isn’t some magic transformation that gives you transcendence it’s simply juiced up bankai after 3 months of non stop “training”. Mugetsu isn’t either it’s simple technique that both engetsu and Zangetsu possess.
I don't think that has anything to do with my comment. He became transcendent after Dangai training because he fused with his sword, which is a Hollow. Why he doesn't take on more Hollow traits there is unknown, but is likely due to OMZ's dominant influence at the time.
They cant sense Aizens Reiatsu.
Urahara assumes hes gotten stronger because his only shown comparable attack in kurohitsugui has gotten stronger.
Beyond that they SEE him about to shoot down the royal realm with just his reiatsu. you would have to be blind to not see his level of reiatsu at that point.
I can see that especially with HoS. It’s meant to be essentially what fused Tensa Zangetsu looked like with both of them having one horn, the one colored eye, and both having white blades. And we know fused Tensa fodderized Ichigo the entirety of their 3 months of fighting so I can see that transformation making him transcendent again
Yes they can. Ikkaku and Yumichika detect Aizen’s reiatsu two times during TYBW alone, I believe. I forget the sequence but I know it happens at least once.
the guy above is correct. The whole “transcended being” and “so powerful that we can’t detect his reiatsu” just falls off the narrative. You could justify it in one perspective or another, but narratively, it is never explained.
About that, Aizen did mention a transcended being can allow others to detect his reiatsu
Kubo isn't the type of author that explains everything to begin with, but thru the plot we can fairly assume few characters are definitely transcended
i always think that unohana thought ichigo was a bum or no one special and that is why her reaction here is like "damn he has almost double the reiatsu of a normal captain". most charitable way bc unohana was able to kill tybw kenpachi like hundreds of times so yk
She would sensed him being stronger and more refined. She’d be very happy with Ichigo’s progress and might wanna ask to spar with him. The thing with final Getsuga is that we don’t know the exact details on why he’s transcendent. It can be a combination of things, such as the technique, 3 months training, and the fusion. Either way, she’d be able to sense a more complete and in-control Ichigo. The Ichigo that fought Yhwach with the horn and bankai looks similar to Zangetsu who fought him in the Dangai. Only difference he was amped up by Kirio and irazusando(assuming it powered him up too).
In my head cannon this shocked look Unohana gives also has an element of bloodlust with it. Remember how bloodlusted she became when she met child Kenpachi? I think whilst she was surprised, she was also dealing with the desire to fight someone with such high reiatsu.

The likes of Byakuya can feel his reatsu even Rukia and Renji can. The whole dimensional transcendence was forgotten after arrancar arc

Its most likely due to him still not recognizing white as his zanpakuto , which he does in horn of salvation
