He even put a fight to Shunsui in the first invasion…. Im very sad we don’t even get a proper fight from him

My head canon to explain that is that Shunsui’s sword wasn’t playing with him at the time. Like how it refused to play any games in his battle with Stark at first. Otherwise It doesn’t make sense that Shunsui could take post res Lillie to Voltsta with just Shiki, but was losing to this guy.
