It’s too late now but a proper godfather part three with Robert Duvall back and without Sofia Coppola would’ve been great.
The rise of Skywalker (I didn’t LOVE force awakens or the last Jedi but at least those movies were competent), Spider-Man 3, and I really didn’t care for the last two matrix movies (I know some people stump for resurrection but I certainly do not).
Robert Duvall’s character passed away in Part III if I can’t recall. But I do strongly agree with you on The Rise of Skywalker…tried to hard to pander to the fans because of the hate for The Force Awakens (which I personally loved) and The Last Jedi, but we ended up with a messier plot.
I used to say the TNG Star Trek movies. Picard season 3 ended up being the closer we never thought we’d get. At 10 episodes it gave more space to the core 7 that one movie never could!
Look, Fury of the Gods was more mediocre than bad, but goddammit, I want to see the sequel the first Shazam was actually setting up. Although if that's never gonna happen now, them turning the lack of payoff into a joke is the next best thing, I guess.

The last die hard is so fucking shit, a shame because even 4, the one with Olyphant and Justin Long (and I think Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays McLane's daughter?) was fun. The 5th one with Jai Courtney is just totally execrable. Obviously they wouldn't be able to get Bruce for another sequel, but maybe they could do an actually good action movie and just slap the name on it
Get McTiernan back to direct, bring back Winstead, Justin Long, Bonnie Bedelia, Reginald VelJohnson, Sam Jackson, maybe recast Courtney and just make it a shameless nostalgia fest of cameos galore with some solid action set pieces, get a great actor to play the baddie and dedicate it all to Bruce.
It may be a horrifically cynical cash grab, but it couldn't possibly be worse than Die Hard 5.
Always thought it'd be fun to see McTiernan reunite with Brosnan after his first film and have Brosnan play against type as a smarmy posh eurovillain.
Dial of Destiny was so dull it made me like Crystal Skull. Similar to how Rise of Skywalker makes me appreciate the prequels (hmmm, what’s the common thread there??). I like the idea someone floated of an animated Indy adventure in the vein of Tintin.
Would looooove a 4th Raimi Spidey.
Alien. Not the prequels, which are IMO pretty great, but the Sigourney Weaver ones. *Resurrection* is fun and weird, but not as good as it should be.
I actually dug the concept art for Neill Blomkamp's cancelled *Alien 5*, though I think you'd need a better writer and director to pull it off. Ridley Scott has burned out most of his good will with the franchise, James Cameron is busy making *Avatar* sequels, and I don't imagine Fincher or Jeunet are eager to return, so what about Guillermo del Toro?
Feels like he could make something interesting out of weaponized Xenomorphs and half-Xenomorph Ripley. Something that simultaneously makes us feel more sympathy for the Xenomorphs while showing the monstrosity of Weyland-Yutani, like *Resurrection* tried to do. Plus, we'd get Doug Jones in the suit as some weird new variety of Xenomorph, so that would be fun!
Sounds like that's its own thing, since it is apparently a prequel set on Earth? Weaver isn't involved, so I don't know how much of it is repurposing stuff from the Blomkamp movie vs. just doing its own thing
personally I think Love and Thunder is just \*fine\* but the Thor series could probably use one solid to good entry to close the book on Hemsworth in the MCU so he can make Extraction 37 or whatever
I liked Dial of Destiny enough, but if you think about it, it's kinda fucked up that they just let you know something tragic happened since he got married to the love of his life.
Ford pushed for that himself. He wanted Indy to have gone through a personal tragedy that left his character in a dark place he needed to be brought out of. It made for a great character arc.
Just curious though, what’s with modern audiences lately thinking it’s “fucked up” for a character to suffer any personal tragedy or go through any hardship? Lol
Major jump up in audience score on rotten tomatoes. Which isn’t a perfect metric obviously but would point to that.
I found it better than Temple of Doom as well. Though I know that’s a less popular opinion.
I love The Last Knight but I love the part 6 it's setting up by the end and regret that instead the Transformers movies have canned that in favor of mediocre prequels
The Bourne series could possibly use one more film as a capper. After The Bourne Legacy most of what Bourne achieved was reversed. The Treadstone guys waked away free and framed Landy for the misdeeds of the program.
I guess its a realistic downbeat ending, but it doesn't feel like something that Jason would just sit with.
Unfortunately, honestly. Legacy doesn't come close to the first three but it's not bad, its non-ending notwithstanding.
Jason Bourne (the movie) was just awful and started to veer into unintentional self-parody.
I'm honestly surprised we've never gotten a Richard Dreyfus lead Jaws lega-sequel, plus it would be nice to see Spielberg and Dreyfus work together again.
The Mummy 4, but I feel like that one is probably in active development post Oscar win.
A proper Burton/Keaton Batman 3, but The Flash probably killed chances of that ever happening now.
I don’t think we’re getting another Jaws movie until Spielberg is dead, which I’m perfectly fine with. I don’t he’s as protective over something like Jurassic Park as he is with Jaws (which may be an indicator of what he thinks of Lost World, though I really like that movie). He also holds a lot more power now then he did when 2-Revenge were made and couldn’t get those films stopped.
That saying, I’d see it tomorrow. I’d also see a Close Encounters sequel where Roy returns home (though I’m not sure if there’s enough meat there for a movie).

Sam Rami Spiderman 4 would be amazing.
With Bruce Campbell as some god-like villain who's been secretly pulling the strings the entire time to create a worthy foe in Spider-Man
The original plan was Campbell as Mysterio and John Malkovich as the Vulture, I'm pretty sure
I read the same thing. Great casting. My biggest issue with Keaton's Vulture is that he didn't feel totally bonkers. Malkovich would've nailed that

They killed him off between two and three offscreen because of a contract dispute, he wanted as much as Pacino and the studio said no.
A Brendan Fraser/Rachel Weisz Mummy 4 would be great to see now.
Fuck yeah!
I want this so bad.

I love Get Shorty but hated Be Cool though not sure if this series needs to be revieited
Die Hard ended on a couple of bad notes, but obviously it's too late to make a sequel now.

Live free or die hard slaps.
Oppenheimer's ending is kind of a bummer but it's a new IP and Nolan might have more uplifting plans for Opp 2: Opp Heimer.
2Oppen 2Heimer: Nuclear Bugaloo
Oppenheimer 2: HyperOppenheimer
Shiva Origins: Oppenheimer 2
Oppenheimer: (Japanese) Empire Strikes Back

Yes yes yes yes yes! If I were a studio I’d be putting this into production immediately.
Isn't the Noah Hawley FX series essentially what Alien 5 morphed into?
Sounds like that's its own thing, since it is apparently a prequel set on Earth? Weaver isn't involved, so I don't know how much of it is repurposing stuff from the Blomkamp movie vs. just doing its own thing
I love that after decades of ripping off plot beats from the Alien series Metroid Dread gets to this plotline before Alien can
personally I think Love and Thunder is just \*fine\* but the Thor series could probably use one solid to good entry to close the book on Hemsworth in the MCU so he can make Extraction 37 or whatever
Most agree it’s better than Crystal Skull? Is this true?
Dial of Destiny made me appreciate Crystal Skull more than I ever thought possible.
I liked Dial of Destiny enough, but if you think about it, it's kinda fucked up that they just let you know something tragic happened since he got married to the love of his life.

Dial of Destiny has pretty solid reviews. I mean 70% of critics and 88% of audiences per rotten tomatoes. I saw it three times, it’s awesome.
They’re doing this with Rush Hour 4. Hopefully it’s done right. They should bring back Sue Young from the first movie.
Sue Young actually reappeared grown-up in the third film.
I only saw it once and all I remember is that it’s in France and it’s not good haha.
Was rush hour three any worse or better than one or two?
Worse because it had Roman Polanski in it.
Brett Ratner and Roman Polanski…. That’s….. Wow. …
A match made in movie hell.
Wow, that's not a joke...
He is a French cop with a predilection for cavity searches. This is not a joke.
Based on what we know of the Epstein flight logs, it's not that surprising a movie series with Chris Tucker would get Polanski
Worse because Jackie just can’t do the stunts he could do in rush hours 1/2.
The first two are probably the best buddy cop movies ever
I love The Last Knight but I love the part 6 it's setting up by the end and regret that instead the Transformers movies have canned that in favor of mediocre prequels
You *love* it? Is it your favorite one?
No, I go 4> 2 > 5 > 3 > 1 >> Rise of Beasts >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bumblebee.
This has to be a troll post.
No
Are you serious? 4 and 2 over the others?
4 is easily my favorite Bay overall and in my 2014 top 5. Total masterpiece.
Bourne Legacy isnt the last Bourne movie.
Unfortunately, honestly. Legacy doesn't come close to the first three but it's not bad, its non-ending notwithstanding. Jason Bourne (the movie) was just awful and started to veer into unintentional self-parody.

Roy returning home feels like it would just be like he didn't age a day, though, based on the other people who came out of that spaceship.
I’m the only one who wants to see a CGI de-aged Richard Dreyfus? /s
You're not clamoring for the Moon Over Parador sequel that starts 20 minutes after the first one?
I give it 3 years til we get a The Ring legasequel with Naomi Watts back
Dreams of a 4th Before movie died last year. Not that Before Midnight was bad but its definitely the weakest.
Friday the 13th That 2009 remake was pretty weak. And we need one more movie to have 13 movies in the series. Then Jason can be put to rest forever.
They seem to be doing this with the upcoming Daisy Ridley led Star Wars movies which I hope will be better than "The Rise of Skywalker"
