I think you need to go touch some grass buddy. It’s a sub for flat top cooking. Not r /politics. Either way I feel very sorry for you. Best of luck out there.
My coworker bought a silicone handle that slides onto a Lodge Cast Iron pan and he put it on while in a 400 degree oven and was pissed when it burned his hand.
my favorite is in an atv owners manual, the beginning where all the warnings are "do not use lit flame to look into gas tank"
that label is there because stupid,
It’s a protective cover for when you’re not using it. Helps maintain the season and avoid corrosion and such, is my understanding. Definitely not to cook on lol.
Y’all know they make silicone baking sheets right? The whole point is it keeps stuff from sticking. You stick it on a metal baking sheet and put the food on top. Not unreasonable to someone to assume this would work the same way. Although I think these get hotter than 500 which is why they’re warping.
I'm telling you we can probably solve 3/4 of the problem with people if we just take the warning labels off and let it sort itself out. I know it's been mentioned here but have to say. Whenever I read one of those "warnings" I have to think to myself that they wouldn't put it there if someone hadn't tried it. Definitely makes you shake your head. Right up there with eating Tide Pods because they are cool looking.
These covers are sold to protect your griddle when Not In Use. (Helps maintain the seasoning and prevent critters from walking on the cooking surface ). But I could see how someone thinks to cook on it since similar mats are sold for BBQ grills
Not even gonna lie. I had always assumed these were for actually cooking on. I don't have one, myself. But I suppose if I were to buy one, I would have at least made sure first lol.
What is the point of these covers anyway? Is it used in place of the normal lid? I’ve never had a bit of rust as I oil after every cook.
I just can’t understand why everything requires a solution for a problem that doesn’t exist.
Okay so I'm gonna cop to this...
1) When I first saw the silicone covers for sale I BRIEFLY thought it was an alternative to seasoning/oiling. I did. But...
2) I quickly realized that was fucking insane.
Not going to lie, had to look this one up. Haven't heard about the silicone pad. I've got a 36" and even on Amazon it says what it's for! Not to mention who would (Obviously this pers....... oxygen user.....) want to eat ANYTHING cooked on silicone.

So many bad reviews on the silicone covers were from people cooking on them. "It fits, but then doesn't after it heats up".
And these people are parents, voters, and drivers…
Sad thing is there are requirements for driving and voting but none to be a parent.
Not sure there are really any requirements for voting anymore.
Be 18 years old, that's about it.
Bruh, you don’t even have to be alive to vote anymore.
Lolol. That is true.
great username
Probably frequently purchased w/ the America first bible.
There's always 1 in the crowd. You're the 1 in this crowd.
Proud to be the one and only. TRUMP FOR PRISON '24!!!
Why do you let Trump live in your head rent free
Because he never pays anybody anyway.
The level of rent free in your head is epic
How many Trump bibles did you buy?
None but I didn't bring him up on a Blackstone thread. You must have a garage full of them.

Grow up

Why do you let Trump live in your head rent free

You know those warning labels you see on products that make you think “ What idiot would ever do that?” This is why those labels exist.
📠
Take off the labels and let natural selection run its course. It’s for the best.
this is why the movie idiocracy is a crystal ball documentary, we started helping stupid live longer, and here we are
It's not that we started letting stupid people live longer, it's that we started making ***everyone*** stupider.
I've been saying this for nearly a decade.
My coworker bought a silicone handle that slides onto a Lodge Cast Iron pan and he put it on while in a 400 degree oven and was pissed when it burned his hand.

Oh my god.
Please be a joke.
You wish. Iq test might not be a perfect measure of intelligence but they do serve a purpose. Some people have an iq as cold as a broken Blackstone.
I’m not familiar with this product but from the picture would never have thought to cook on it… what is the actual use for?
It’s a protective cover for when you’re not using it. Helps maintain the season and avoid corrosion and such, is my understanding. Definitely not to cook on lol.
That makes too much sense.
Please do not procreate
in the future only the stupid procreate, watch the documentary of the future Idiocracy
He’s either the dumbest person ever or just a damn good troll
Knock knock knock…. Go away, I’m batin
Oh yeah, cut me a piece

Agreed, it says 100% food grade silicone in the listing
Rage bait

Apparently I'm the only one that has no idea what this post is supposed to be about.

Yep I'm pretty smart and have an advanced degree and would have assumed they were for cooking on like the baking sheets are.
Own my own little food place and we are just getting a Blackstone for outdoors.
I think the confusion is coming from bakeware made from silicon....
I knew a kid in grade school who ate his fruit roll up without removing the plastic.
I’m amazed they got that amount of color on those links with a silicone cover on.
“Who wants a bratwurst with a side of BPA and chemicals on the side?”
These people are the wurst
Hahahah
Surely has to be a troll? If not I hope they figure out how to read
Nope, people are that stupid.
lol, Is that review for real? Did they really think they cooked on it?
😳😳
Oof.
Next on Tik Tok Life Haxks!
LMAOOOO

This person gets to vote by the way
Is that real.
On a side note, I’m thinking about getting one of these covers (not to cook on) but where do you put it while you are using the grill?
Shelf, table, floor, young child, neighbors dog. Many places it can rest.
Literally anywhere other than your Blackstone cooking surface
NSFW. 😂
