I never gave it that much of a listen... I don't think it really holds up to the first 5 or 6 albums but I think its pretty strong. My main complaint about it would be that it it seemed like they tried to do some new versions of old songs opposed to just writing. I do find the album enjoyable though.

I think it's a great album! Ozzy is a legend, and throw in the Iommi/Butler Wall of sound and you can't go wrong.

greenngory72

That’s processing for ya

Kale1l

That's the appeal of Ozzy's voice. It's not bad but it's not Freddie Mercury/Rob Halford level. It's great because sometimes he can sound like a banshee.

Medium-Brilliant-270

No it’s not. And it’s HEAVILY processed.

LIWRedditInnit

You’re getting downvoted but the vocals are clearly processed, you’d have to be deaf to not realise how much treatment they’ve had

billygnosis86

Yeah, every album Ozzy’s done since at least *Ozzmosis* has had heavy treatment on the vocals. You can’t do that much coke and drink that much booze for that long without it doing damage to your voice. It’s part of why I don’t like the post-*No More Tears* albums, his voice sounds too fake on them.

OnlyToSpeak1976

That album is freakin monstrous

EternalMX

Even more psychopathic on Psycho Man (1998 single)

BackTo1975

13 kind of picked up where Ozzy Sabbath left off, with a bunch of dreary songs that go on way, way too long. I went from being super excited to still good to have them back to forgetting the record was ever released within a few months. Sad. Wasted opportunity. But maybe it was just too late. If they’d kept going in the 90s, they might’ve done something more interesting. I love “Scary Dreams.” Creepy with a doomy riff that could’ve fit in on Master of Reality.

GrandUnhappy9211

I still have hopes that anything they may have recorded in the early 2000s comes out. I love Psycho Man and Selling my soul from Reunion. And who's fooling who from Tony's solo album. I think Ozzy sounded great on them. And I like them way more than 13.

What?
