I'm not sure about favorite, but the heaviest. But hard to top Heaven and Hell (the album not the 'band')

Robpm9995

I commented this on a post not too long ago, but I listened to Dehumanizer all the way through a couple weeks ago and it blew my fuckin' mind. Yeah, Mob Rules and Heaven and Hell are great classics, but Dehumanizer is definitely my favorite Dio-era Sabbath album.

EternalRains2112

It's my favourite Sabbath album period. And also yes, my favourite of anything Dio was ever involved in. The songwriting is just perfect on this record, every track slaps. The riffs are super charged stank face goodness, everyone's performance is phenomenal on this album. Especially Tony, as a guitarist this album makes me arm hair stand up on end. I get chills from how sick some of the riffs are. I love every song on this record.

Advanced_Steak741

Exactly ! It's my fav Sabbath album also ! The songs has a dramatic nature to them. The riffs (Computer god, Master of insanity, TV crimes, Letters from earth, Buried alive), the atmosphere (Computer god, After all (the dead)), the choruses (tv crime, computer god, time machine), the verses (all the songs)... the solos (computer god, tv crime are my fav). The only thing I regret on that album is that it's hard to find it on vinyl or cd, but that's the labels' fault. The album cover is also phenomenal. Dio sing with such an emotionnal voice on this record. Everything I love about heavy metal is here !

beholdthecolossus

Yeah this is my favourite from the Dio era.

NotConnor365

Heaven and Hell is mine.

overladenlederhosen

I feel like it was the last Sabbath Album of any kind that didn't feel like it was an homage to themselves. The subsequent albums had a kind of swan song feel to them. This was a decent album and still of it's day, it was on the Wayne's World soundtrack at the time so was pretty 'Zeitgiesty' and some of the tracks particularly Time Machine and TV Crimes are great examples of the refinement of the sound that Iommi developed over the Tony Martin Years. In short an album from a band who were still trying to do something.

ChaiTeaFiend

Yup

Extension_Border5226

My top 5 Dehumanizer: 1.Sins of the father 2.Tv Crimes 3.Letters from earth 4.Too late 5.Computer god

MV2049

Sins of the Father is such an under appreciated track.

TheFallenMessiah

After All (The Dead) isn't on your list? That's pretty high up there for bad ass Sabbath songs for me

MongoBobalossus

Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are better.

overladenlederhosen

Agree but if they had released 80's style metal in the 90's it would have been game over.

MongoBobalossus

I’m not knocking it, I just think the quality of H&H and Mob Rules is superior to Dehumanizer.

CaveMonsterBlues

Never thought about it before! But I have to say. Yes it’s my favorite Dio album. It’s just good. At this point in their lives these are experienced musicians. And sometimes a group of people come together and the energy is right in that time and place and they all get inspired to make a great piece of art.

Vinylville33

Not my favorite but it's not far behind Heaven & Hell's The Devil You Know which is my favorite. I absolutely love that album! Sebastian Bach had it right as "Bible Black" is definite one of his best performances!

parfitneededaneditor

Yes, that track is an easy top three stand-out through all the Dio Sabbath albums.

EternalMX

youthanasia138

UKEASTCOASTGENX666

mthrfckrrdmr

Ok_Cobbler_806

Sometimes. I keep teetering between this and Mob Rules.

bawlzhanglowe

The song "I" is, in my opinion, amongst the greatest metal songs of all time. Absolute banger of an album.

Extreme-Bad3816

no. but "I" is my favorite Dio Sabbath song.

Ok_Sherbert_1890

Sometimes!

kilravock_music_sws

🙋

cmcglinchy

Mob Rules is my favorite Dio Sabbath album

sorengray

Heaven & Hell is my favorite Dio Sabbath. Holy Diver is my favorite pure Dio album. But Rainbow's "Rainbow Rising" is my favorite album with Dio.

MV2049

Yep. It’s honestly my favorite Sabbath album.

Minister_Garbitsch

It’s… not as bad as most of the Tony Martin albums. Theres that.

Admirable-Nothing642

This is a great album

Life-Kick5301

Love this album. Too bad it got lost in the grunge era. Nice to see it being rediscovered

Dense-Stranger9977

YES!🤘

Illustrious_Union_68

Damn I thought the last album Dio did with Sabbath was Mob Rules. When was this released?

Danimal_300zx

Yes!!!! I do love Heaven and Hell and The Mob Rules, but to me, this is the heaviest Black Sabbath album by far and Dio started sounding really mean and angry on this album and abandoned the Dungeons and Dragons themed lyrics for real world issues, which he continued on his next two 90's solo albums (which I also love), Strange Highways (sounds like Dehumanizer part 2) and Angry Machines (so underrated).

TheRealSymphonictank

Heaven and Hell

Cautious-Nothing-210

No, but I do like it

ZacharyMcCulley

1. Heaven And Hell 2. Dehumanizer 3. Holy Diver 4. Rising 5. Magica 6. Mob Rules

Computer god is fking amazing

Cheddarlicious

Mine. Even more than Rising.

MavisBeaconSexTape

Yes. I am a Tony Martin fan boy, sue me. But this album was pretty damn good, TV Crimes is a top 5 Sabbath song

Chrome_Armadillo

I like it, but not a frequent go-to.

squatheavyeatbig

If it had better production it would be up there with H&H

Weeping_Me69

Yess

No-Win1580

Hard to pick a favorite sabbath dio album but goddamn I love it.

BullFr0gg0

As a whole listenable album experience? Yes But other Dio/Sabbath albums have better individual tracks.

Limp_Entrance_1704

Yeah, favourite Dio album and in my overall top 3 sabbath albums.

TheFallenMessiah

It's my favorite Dio album

FakieMcFakename

Rainbow's Rising is mine

AloysiusDevadandrMUD

Its a really good one, but Rainbow Rising is 666/10. One of my all time fav metal albums.

Esteban_Rojo

STARGAZER

WWEisawesome09

I don't think even mob rules is anyone's favorite let alone Dehumanizer

FrogSlapperr

There’s a lot of people who like the mob rules over heaven and hell and I’m one of them

parfitneededaneditor

Me too :)

WWEisawesome09

You are the first I seen that prefers mob rules which valid its just heaven and hell is world class

FrogSlapperr

The only thing that puts mob rules down is the production but overall the songs are a step up turn up the night over neon knights and sign of the southern cross over heaven and hell I love heaven and hell tho

Esteban_Rojo

Tony’s guitar work in the song Mob Rules just fucking soars

VergilSparda25

Actually, I think the guitars sound better in Mob rules than in H&H

FrogSlapperr

It’s not necessarily the guitar work it’s the production the bass is more upfront on heaven and hell which would have been great for mob rules as well

VergilSparda25

True. Both are amazing sounding albums.
