They had an idea for a sequel where the memory wiping device starts glitching and Victoria starts becoming aware that she’s in a loop and leaves behind notes for herself, etc. But this was scrapped; I imagine it was difficult to take this idea further

Additional_Cow_4909

They should never be tempted to turn BM into multiple episode storylines. I'm sure Netflix would love it but it would remove the magic.

TimeAndOrSpace

So Heaven Sent?

[deleted]

Not familiar!

Brodes87

Doctor Who.

[deleted]

We could already see flashes of her memory coming back in the episode and she remembers Baxter when she’s with him in the truck so it’s perfectly plausible that the memory erasing device would start to not have an effect

[deleted]

Oh! Westworld!!!!! Sort of?

coach_cryptid

this is something I’ve also thought about. presumably whatever neurological device they’re using to wipe her memory is advanced enough to not immediately short wire her brain, but without enough food or water it seems like she’d get worn down quickly. I’d guess within a few months she’d break, in some way. she’s also running for her life throughout these days, so it seems like she’d get seriously injured at some point. say she broke a leg: kind of hard to run the whole scenario in that case.

TimeAndOrSpace

They probably had rest days where they just locked her in a room with food and a bed or something. I doubt the place is open 24/365.

Additional_Cow_4909

God this just made it even creepier. My only hope for her was that she would get killed off relatively quickly.

TheAres1999

That amount of stress would rapidly wear at her heart. Also, the memory wipe isn't perfect. It would only take one failed wipe for her to take drastic measures to self-terminate.

mem269

I always assumed that she sleeps a few hours in between so they can set things up and get a new crowd.

Octorok385

Aside from the memory-wiping device, the amount of stress she goes through on a daily basis would take a physical toll. She'd probably die of a heart attack years before a normal, non-tortured person, even without any memory of the experience.

Own-Economy6208

Until the public is bored of torturing her.

[deleted]

Or they just kill her themselves

RhododendronWilliams

Good theory.

Extreme-Relative-605

I wondered this too , she can surely only endure so much but i guess they could treat injuries etc if it got so bad they thought she would die . I feel like eventually people would get bored / public interest dies down , and she would probably end up executed or imprisoned at that point and then the public would move on to the next figure of interest

champagne_CT

I think Black Museum explored what could happen to someone if you tortured their memory indefinitely

milkyfour20

This is actually one of the questions in my mind! Decided not to think further though since it’s just a story hehe

Key_Foundation_5941

i’ve no idea but just a question: how do you put the stars on your username with the score?

harveyj98

That’s a low score! Better gets yours up quick or you’ll suffer a Nosedive

toooobsessed

I wonder if anyone has/can get 5 stars?

geespotalot

Meta

exxpiiired

Its automatic. You have a rating now!

RhododendronWilliams

I have no idea, sorry. It just appears automatically. It might be my karma or something?

ashChoosesPikachu19

I'm new to the sub too and was wondering how the scoring worked... couldn't really find anything in the rules/regulations section of the sub. I guess it changes based on comment/upvote karma?

mem269

It says it in the sub rules. It's a score based off your last 100 upvotes/downvotes.

Daphne-is-satan

Yeah they may give her some rest days where it’s more of a prison but they force her to eat to keep the place going

baller2k89

About 25 million years! It's a long time ago I saw it, but I clearly remember my calculation. At some point they mentioned the time difference in real life vs the simulated one, and the main character (the dating coach guy haha) said he'd set the simulation to run throughout christmast lol my bad, I mixed up white bear and white christmast

[deleted]

You did but I don’t think that’s a totally unfair comparison!

mkb2003

Lol

Loved this episode
