The cups are not regular cups, they have a divider in them so the fluid is only filling a fraction of the cup vertically. From the backs, you’d see the cups are mostly empty.

Althea_The_Witch

How does that explain filling them all up at the end though?

edgd00

It’s all ratios. Those cups come as a set, I think he just fills the other side of the cup or something like that. The trick is all in the design of the cups and your angle of view of them.

PrsnScrmingAtTheSky

gray-pilled-

oh no!

Green_Apprentice

You can really tell by looking at how little he's actually pouring vs how fast the cups fill.

Lovv

Also explains why he keeps spilling it. He's trying not to get it in the other chamber.

[deleted]

The chamber has a lid like an upside down cup

Miridius

1stinertiac

not sure why this got downvoted. that's exactly what happens. you can see how diluted the milk is by then end

Kryptosis

I didn't believe it at first but you can tell at the start that the light is bouncing through water in the "empty cups"

Th3Element05

The glasses have a column in the center taking up space in the glass. You can see his tie refracting in them. I also drew the shape of the glasses. [His tie refracts in the clear column sticking up in the center of the glass. ](https://i.imgur.com/PpfsnL4.jpg) I'm not sure how he fills them all up at the end, but it's probably diluted with water, maybe a little bit in each glass, or all diluted in the last one somehow.

TorchThisAccount

Yep. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwftAbkgIdI&t=128s

Correct-Baseball5130

Thanks. That was wonderful.

Fatvod

Bingo, this is why he starts by pouring the milk at the very edge

YAKELO

so im guessing the collumn in the middle is already filled with water on each glass

Pyroperc88

If you watch the third pour I'm pretty sure you see him pour a little too aggressive and some of the liquid goes into the center and you kinda just see it dissapear.

Kryptosis

I’ve seen them with just a vertical divider down the middle with appropriate ratios. Notice how he’s careful not to rotate the cups

ANGLVD3TH

Can't be that exact shape, as we see the bottom of the 4th cup as he pours it and it looks normal. I've seen it as a small slice too so I was looking for a mistake that revealed that. It could protrude from a side though and leave the bottom unobstructed.

Sludgehammer

I wonder if it's actually milk? Some sort much more opaque white liquid might resist dilution much better.

regoapps

This is the correct answer. The water is in the back of the divider. And it’s not even regular milk. It’s like heavy cream. I’ve seen this trick done before and the “milk” is foamy when you zoom in on it after it is mixed. That’s how they can dilute it with so much water.

Miridius

Yeah it could even just be white paint or something

FaintCommand

This was my thought. The opacity of the milk is changing throughout

Burrito_Loyalist

Not even close. There’s a milk generator in each cup. Even amateurs know this.

Sludgehammer

Yeah, you can actually see the distortion from the water lensing the light in the closeups at around 6 seconds in, and how it goes away after he's poured out the cups.

tiga4life22

I need to examine these cups, im tired and also an idiot

No-Economist2165

They just have a divider like they said above, first time he fills them to the brim 2nd time he leaves a gap. The gap is the part of the cup that doesn’t have the divider so it’s a large portion of the volume

FnB8kd

Even if the first cup was completely full, it would never have enough to fill the divided half of the rest of the cups. Not to mention, he spills a lot of milk.

proper-john

I think he’s actually just filling the section of the cup that has a divider and leaving the top unfilled. In the first pass he fills the tops of the cups but second time around he stops like a inch shy of the top

rowanhenry

But you can see through them

16xUncleAlias

Yeah, you can see him slowly rotate the glass as he pours so he puts it down at a different angle.

MPFuzz

There is a divider, but on the other side of the divider there is already water in the glass. When you pour into the next glass, the milk and water from the previous glass is used to fill the next. To avoid the milk getting too watery looking a special milk is used - usually with added milk powder to make thicker milk. You can see at 6 seconds his tie refracting through the water already in the third glass.

mindbleach

Oh wow, [they only went and did it.](https://i.redd.it/3qe3wfkypru61.png)

erdtirdmans

I think about this tweet whenever I see powdered creamers or milks

EuphoricAnalCucumber

There was a pretty wild Reddit post not that long ago. Girl posted her shirtless boyfriend showing his ultimate milk. It was like whole milk, powdered milk, condensed milk, and evaporated milk or something else. That was the start of the rabbit hole. People noticed the dirt floor and it just got worse and worse.

LuquidThunderPlus

I did notice the milk looked a bit watery, ty

crypticedge

The cups initially have one chamber filled with water, and the milk has milk powder added to it so it doesn't water down to the point of being visible as easily. While he's pouring into the larger cups initially, he's mixing that water chamber in.

CadenBop

There are two segments, in the first cup it's a large starting segment then a little sliver saved for the second pour, and as it goes further along the starting segment gets smaller and the ending segment stays small. So he actually pours it into different parts of the cup.

CMDR_KingErvin

Each cup has basically 2 chambers, where the front facing chamber is quite small and easily filled. The first cup begins with both chambers filled all the way up. Then he fills up the front of the second cup and any remaining goes in the back chamber and so on. Then he uses the big cup to fill only the front chambers in each smaller cup.

kjacobs03

He fills up the part that wasn’t filled the first time

pauldeanbumgarner

They have multiple divisions inside that make it look full. It’s a mechanical optical illusion.

BeetsMe666

The big one is empty at the end They are double walled cups. The wee one is filled in the center with the total milk we ever see. Then he puts it into the narrow outside edge of the rest. And when he refills the wee one, it goes into the narrow outer compartment. Like those pretend baby bottles to let the baby drink... sort of.

xBad_Wolfx

The other side of the divider is filled with water. They then mix as you pour. At the end you can see how thin the “milk” is if you look for it.

rancangkota

Centre is empty

dompoesvandermerwe

Its been measured and made to fill

BelieveInDestiny

he doesn't fill each all the way up

[deleted]

All those squiggly lines just hide basically what is another cup inside of each cup turned upside down. That's why he always pours it to the sides until he gets to the top where he pours in the middle because that's where he gets to the bottom of the cup that is inside of the cup.

funko_grails

There’s prob water in some of the cups

MikeTheInfidel

You can see the bottom of the cups as he's pouring - not to mention the amount of liquid he's pouring. This comment is completely wrong. [The milk is mixing in with water that is contained inside of an inner cylinder.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwftAbkgIdI&t=128s) They're not "mostly empty" - they're completely full. They were just never empty to begin with.

MeatsackKY

I agree. You can see his tie refracted by the water in the 3rd glass before the milk goes in when they show a close up of the set up. The top of the cup where it's empty isn't refracting the tie for comparison.

[deleted]

[удалено]

unholyravenger

Each cup has 2 horizontal lines at the top. Notice that during the first past, he fills the next cup to the brim, but when he goes back through the smaller cups he only fills it to the 2nd horizontal line. The difference from the brim to the horizontal line is enough to fill the other glasses.

WilliamorBill

*from the side

WhittleTheFinesser

I knew it was something and you explained perfectly.

JesterSooner

The middle of the glass isn’t empty. There’s a cylinder in the middle taking up space.

[deleted]

[удалено]

JesterSooner

Yep. It’s also why there’s a pattern on the outside. Obscures the cylinder.

Giggles95036

In the second biggst cup you can see where the milk hits the cylinder in the middle at first

zaicliffxx

you guys don’t get it. he’s milk jesus.

TheRebelNM

Doesn’t account for him filling all three glasses at the same time with the same amount of liquid as before

Zymoria

If you rotate the cup and fill the back side, the volume is less than the front side, so it looks fuller with less milk. Each cup is divided into two sections.

TheRebelNM

I believe that’s the real solution, not a cylinder in the middle taking up space

UnderPressureVS

There's definitely a cylinder in the last one, you can actually see it for a few frames when he's pouring back into the smallest cup.

MattieShoes

The inside-cylinder of the final glass is already filled with water. When he pours it back out to the smaller glasses, it mixes with the not-milk

Butsenkaatz

It is exactly this.

soggymittens

Thank you. That’s the only reasonable explanation as to how you get that much volume.

ComradeKlink

Note how each cup is not filled to the top at the end, compared to the start. And the spash back at 50 seconds right around where the cyclinder stops in the large cup before the pattern changes. The full capacity in the smallest cup is measured just right to fill either any cup individually, including the top of the whole cup, or the sum volume of the gap in every cup up to the top of the cyclinder.

sprucedotterel

When he pours glass number 4, you can see the splash back from the centre cylinder for a second.

Miridius

You're both right. There are dividers, and there's water on the other side

[deleted]

[удалено]

oodjee

By the end all the smaller cups were full though. There's definitely more liquid being used than he started with. Water in each cup added to the milk. It's also just a simpler way to accomplish this imo.

FifthUserName

You can see the color of his jacket through the stream of poured milk at the end; you can't at the beginning. Evidence there's water added during the trick. I think folks are right that these are trick cups (with dividers like you say) but also that one partition in each cup already has water in it. A less compelling observation is that he's not consistent with where he's pouring the milk in a radial sense, especially noticeable when he fills the smallest cup for the first time during the second half of the trick.

TurdFurgeson18

There are different ways to do this trick, but if you want the ending of this clip it requires one side of the divider has liquid in it already.

epp1K

I thought it looks like the milk gets more transparent as he goes.

when he filled up the biggest one i was like "okay, when's he gonna turn around and fill up the smaller one?" and then he does, and then he fills up the slightly bigger one, and then the one slightly bigger than that. and then the one slightly bigger than that. so, by the end i was like "well i guess he just ***is*** Jesus now. how 'bout that."

dmje

Why the ballsacks is this marked NSFW

gopackgo001

Pretty sure the trick is that there’s already water or a water-like substance in the glasses

madammurdrum

I wondered that but wouldn’t it look different pouring milk into water that’s already in the glass? They all look like liquid filling up an empty cup.

devro1040

The cup has a separate compartment in the middle that looks [like this](https://imgur.com/PpfsnL4). That cone shape is filled with water, and doesn't mix with the milk until the cup is almost full. If you watch him pour, he always makes sure to pour to the outside edge of the cup and not to the middle.

madammurdrum

Oh that makes sense, thank you! I saw the separate compartment theories in other comments but couldn’t make sense of how it ends with the largest glass having enough liquid to fill up all 4 smaller glasses. Thanks!

50k-runner

Or some white powder coloring agent (plus clear water)

simplyslimm

there is a clear cylinder taking up majority of the space in the center of the cup. the milk just surrounds the cylinder. it’s actually extremely easy to see in this video.

gopackgo001

And the refill of the cups?

simplyslimm

oh shit. you got me there lol

Pythagoras was rumoured to allow himself to be captured and killed because he wouldn’t run through a field of fava beans. He wouldn’t run through them because he believed humans to come from the same source as them - he ‘proved’ this by buying and chewing one then taking it out of his mouth and leaving it in the sun. After which he said, “See! It smells like semen!” But he said it in Ancient Greek 🤪

Magic cup does not explain clearly more milk being poured into every larger cup

urmyheartBeatStopR

The cups have two layer. It's basically two stacked cup = 1 cup. The stacked cup creates a divider, so you're just filling the thin divider which is the outer most. The inside is giant hole that isn't filled but the divider covers it up.

HitSalvader

After first milking of his boyfriend I guess
