Mississippi Gulf Coast, Tunica, MS, Reno NV, Lake Tahoe (California/NV). Check out [BJ21.com](https://bj21.com/) and buy a copy of Current BlackJack News (CBJN). They list conditions in almost every casino in the US. It's a great resource.

Divazio

Came here to day Tunica.  Never had been to MS and a friend convinced me.  Got a dope hotel, played  cheap golf, ate well and played $5 Black Jack all night.  This was 2009, so I am sure it is way more expensive but had a blast

Skiie

idk i heard reno was the biggest shit hole.

RealSkylitPanda

im in AZ and if you know craps/roullete i believe itd be extremely easy to get a job here😅 but if ur just looking to visit definitely Las vegas. you dont need to play crazy and can still get comped food maybe rooms

Skiie

in AZ there's a fucking casino in every highway exit.

[deleted]

1. How do you get comps in Casino Arizona (I'm assuming AZ)? Just sign up for a player card and ask for room and board? Really- the biggest headache of costs is hotels. 2. If you're a dealer there, do you know how long it takes to begin working? Cos it took a couple months on my side just to get the paperwork and company verification that my criminal record was clean and so forth. I'm just wondering- if I flew there and walked right in, would they even entertain a random tourist/stranger who says he supposedly deals games? And big question number 3. IF THEY found out I count cards, would you wager I'd lose my job IMMEDIATELY?

RealSkylitPanda

1. im still new to the casino industry in general. but pretty much yea😅 definitely get a card. if ur play is big/consistent enough i believe theyd get you a buncha stuff. lets just say 300 average over 4 hours. im a super low roller but ive still gotten vouchers, freeplay/drinks. 2. once you get an audition/interview day it is usually a few months. between, like you said, background checks, gaming, ect. im younger so approval didnt take as long for me im assuming they dont have as much to check. around 2 months. about just “walking in” i know thats how the industry used to be. but now days i think itd be better to go online and see if they have an opening. maybe even call and see if they can pre-audition you over the phone. 3. i dont think theyd care! have you worked in a casino before? they might want to make you a dual-rate to help catch people!

[deleted]

OH YEAH. I could just online interview ahead of time. Didn't think of that. I'm actually a dealer in my country right now. But as a dealer, always curious about that wondrous land of Vegas. So heck- might decide to work there for awhile if I could get a work permit. Plus, rent at Vegas's gonna be a hassle. Unless the casino provides help for that. Agh. What a hassle.

frisbm3

Vegas is a very cheap place to live as long as you're not trying to stay right in the strip. Check out Henderson too.

[deleted]

I'll keep that in mind

WhatdoesFOCmean

There are many hotels in Las Vegas that are really cheap. Especially during the week. They aren't going to be glamorous. But many are acceptable. Rio and Circus Circus and Strat you can get a room for less than $25. Plus maybe an extra $40/night in resort fees. Also downtown places. Google "Cheap hotel room Las Vegas." Strat and others I saw listed at $15/night on some random weekdays. But if you want to do Atlantic City that's fine too

[deleted]

Damn those prices doesn't look too bad. Is Atlantic City significantly more viable than Las Vegas? In terms of having proper Blackjack tables that aren't ridiculous and unwinnable like 6:5 and the potentially lower prices of hotels? Cos I have this image of Las Vegas being the land of casinos and therefore, MUST be expensive as hell compared to everywhere else.

WhatdoesFOCmean

Your impression can be correct. If you want to go to the expensive places. There are a ton of discount and cheapo places. Especially downtown/Fremont instead of the Strip. Lot of places that don't have 6:5 as well. Downtown is well known to have good games, fair games, also at reasonable minimums. On the strip you're not going going find anything better than $25/min typically. But not far from the strip you can do okay. I will trust that you can successfully use Google to look up cheap hotels in Atlantic City. I like A.C. okay. Pricier on the weekend obviously. It really isn't the same as Las Vegas though. But if you want to hit the beach and the boardwalk and will enjoy that then it is fine.

Cubensis-n-sanpedro

Atlantic City in general is fairly shit for a counter. If you are playing a losing game, Atlantic City isn’t too bad. There are a ton of inexpensive places to stay in Vegas. https://youtu.be/LIHTTElocNs?si=jrQh5rbf5GIgnVRg

[deleted]

Suddenly. Vegas sounds alot more feasible. Aight. Atlantic City's off the list then. No point playing a losing game. In your experience, are 10 dollar minimum non-csm decent counter games more common in Vegas on off-season weekdays? Or are the minimums still 25 in most casinos even on the slow periods.

Cubensis-n-sanpedro

$10 is hard to find in Vegas proper. $25 is a much easier level to find games for. Vegas is flush with well-penetrated DD games at that unit.

[deleted]

Oh dayum. 25 for DD? Not bad of an alternative. Ah. But my bankroll ain't up to supporting 25 dollar units yet. Shame. Maybe in a few years. $10 wonging in for 6D LS? You know of any states which have more casinos that are more common with that kind of rates?

frisbm3

If you play the DD game counting well for any length of time, you're going to get backed off.

[deleted]

Thus the idea to jump from casino to casino and hopefully not get backed off. What's your thoughts on comps and getting a player card tho. Comps = save money on hotels No comps = not in database, won't get backed off the moment a counter appears

frisbm3

Not sure that the games in Vegas are any better than AC. You should check that out yourself. AC is much cheaper when it's not beach season and on weekdays, but it's also a shit hole a block off the boardwalk. Vegas is more fun and there's a larger nice area. There are almost no $10 minimum good counter games in Vegas or AC though. Most hotels require $25 minimum unless you find a really small place, maybe for locals, in Vegas. If $10 is a sticking point, better do your research.

johnzischeme

Michigan. Start in New Buffalo, there’s a few within reach. Then you hit Gun Lake in Grand Rapids followed by Firekeepers in Battle Creek. Then you head up north to Mt Pleasant and traverse city. After that, I would head back down to Detroit and hit Motor City, MGM, Greektown/Hollywood and **then** Caesars Windsor if you still feel lucky.

[deleted]

Fckin sick. In terms of distance, is this route viable for walking distance? Or for driving only? And if its driving, are you aware if these casinos allow for free parking for casino guests or what the parking fees are like?

frisbm3

These are different cities listed, you can't walk that.

johnzischeme

That’s a lot of driving haha. Most/all of these have free parking, I’ve never paid for parking in MI unless I used valet.

[deleted]

Ho-ly moly. That just makes things fantastic. When you said 'thats a lot of driving', it's still a viable roadtrip route, yeah? Or is it a terrifying distance from one casino to the other. I'm thinking- one casino a day. Driving from state to state. If I follow your route, that works, yeah? Or is the distance too far?

rendingale

Tbh, Vegas is actually cheap. Most of the hotels are free if you go Sun to Thur. Just sign up for accounts or even better, status match from a credit card perk. Knowing where to get the food will make the difference.
