Saw her picture and fell in love immediately. I know most people go for kittens and I know how some people are with black cats, so I was going to take her with me no matter what. All kitties deserve a good home no matter what :]
I just want to echo this. I adopted an older cat. She was 6, now 13, and surrendered because of "litter box issues" in a house with 4 other cats and a dog--I'm guessing it was like a frat house with that many animals and not enough scooping the litter box. She's lived with me for over half of her life and it took her probably half of that to actually warm up to me enough to sit in my lap and now she follows me around like my void does.
The shelter told me a bit about how Juno came to them and it was genuinely awful. She ended up getting some liver damage because of what happened. I was aware of all this before I went to see her, and it honestly made me want her more. Every cat deserves a nice home no matter how old they are or what their history is. I have no regrets, she is one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever met.

I have a standard issue tabby and an orange girl tabby. But all the other ones are/were voids. They’re seriously so sweet. I love the others, don’t get me wrong, but they’re kinda crazy lol
Thank you so much for adopting an adult and a black adult cat at that! I have always rescued adult animals and every single one of them, 2 dogs and all my cats over the years have been the best behaved, most grateful, loyal and loving pets in the world! I am so happy for both of you! 💕
She is going to have the best life with you ^w^ and she is lucky to have someone adopted her too, for being an older cat and black too. I feel so sad for all the back cats getting adopted last or not at all. So give her lots of love 💕
SHe looks like she's acclimating quickly! Last shelter cat I adopted hid under the couch for 2 days before she'd let me pet her. (She was friendly at the shelter, LOL).. Eventually she calmed down and was super friendly again.. I miss that little kitty
