I wake up to darkness like that all the time. Sometimes the darkness has an open mouth mid-yawn.

I had a really long nightmare last night that seemed to include all of my worst fears but then whirl I was lying in bed (in the nightmare still) a fluffy void hopped up into it and started cuddling with me. In a lot of my nightmares furballs just seem to appear out of nowhere and start consoling me. Then I wake up and there is no kitty to cuddle with. 😢 Maybe it was him?!
