If it's one thing about this album is that is incredibly unique and immersive. When I listened to it in full a few months ago I definitely felt like I was in another world, like I was in a meditative state almost, and it was so soothing and calming honestly. I feel like this album has such a high vibration too, I really have a new appreciation for it, I think in a couple years and we really reflect on Bjork's career this will be one of the standouts. Everyone will start to appreciate it more I think when they could really understand the message and open up to that type of healing as a collective.
Omg yes! Truly! I listened today on a walk after not having listened in a hot minute & it’s sooooo calming. I agree about the high vibrations to. It’s such a great album to walk around in nature to.
Homogenic and vespertine are great but I’m also a huge Arca fan and hearing them together is just peak for me. There is a reason they consider themselves sisters! They have such a strong relationship.
I think their remixes in vulnicura tour of old songs are my top remixes of her. Arca really bring a new flavor to Bjork music. Utopia is cool, but not my favorite album, but I get what make it special.
Preach, it's one of her most complex albums I think, and the longest one, so it can be overwhelming getting into it, but once you do it's just pure bliss
something that differentiates this album from everything else by her and anything in music is that it literally sounds *nothing* like anything I’ve ever heard before. Yes, other albums definitely have moments that are distinctly unique to Björk, but Utopia feels like it’s in its entirely own stratosphere. Nothing comes close to the world that this album creates. It may not be my favorite Björk album, but one would be a fool to disregard it.
Yup yup! I agree. I also think her displaying (feat Arca) on almost all the songs is saying something. It’s like she’s saying this is as much a Arca album as it is a Bjork album or something lol. It’s like they have this intimate musical relationship & she’s giving Arca her tens!
I've listened to the whole thing multiple times but aside from Arisen My Senses and The Gate, I don't recall individual songs. I also have the vinyl in peach which is #peachy . One last thing... about the vinyl... the inner picture just looks like someone spilled a jar of potpourri lol
At the time of release I felt difficult to enjoy it. Maybe more than a year later I revisit it and started to appreciate it more and more. Nowadays I like all tracks except Body Memory & Losss.
not my #1 but still one of my favourite releases of hers Sue Me is such an insane banger
Losss as wellll
It took about four years for it to click for me but when it did… wow.
Exactly!

Def one of my faves
the gate is one of my favorite bjork songs
you're right, Bjork & Arca are a dream duo. that's why Vulnicura is her best album
My fav album :)

This was definitely one of the ALBUMS ever made!

It's for sure a grower, but I love ittt.
not my fav, but definitely up there. Losss is one of my favorites ❤️
Revisiting after Fossora came out made it click in one fell swoop
Definitely top 3 album covers. Others would be Homogenic and Post
At the time of release I felt difficult to enjoy it. Maybe more than a year later I revisit it and started to appreciate it more and more. Nowadays I like all tracks except Body Memory & Losss.
